Ridiculous problems in trying to run a joint access account!
Have recently set up a JOINT Access Account with Secure Trust Bank. Made several deposits so far. HOWEVER, when I needed to go online to make a withdrawal I was told that I could not make a withdrawal in my own security field. Had to somehow get "permission" or authorisation from the other joint account holder. That is also very top heavy in that the other joint account holder would have to phone in or secure message agreement to make any withdrawal! I have banked online for years, and have numerous other joint accounts where, in setting up the account, it is agreed or accepted that each of us can make withdrawals on our own application using our discreet security details. This is supposed to be an "ACCESS" account, but this clumpy method is hardly that when one needs to pay in, and withdraw speedily. We have, sadly, instructed to close the account.
