Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. You're welcome to visit anytime to see what it was all about and that's not something you'll hear said to an estate agent very often - speaks volumes 🥰. Thank you.

Richard Kendall where the estate agents acting on the purchase property. (JAM) The individuals involved persistantly tried to jeprodise my Sale which was going through with another Estate Agent, advising my buyer to pull out.. meaning the whole chain would of fell through and their Clients sale would of also fell through as we would of been unable to purchase. Very unprofessional and worrying, would not use.

My wife and I recently sold our property through Richard Kendall's. We had bought a house at auction so we needed a quick sale to the right buyer. Daniel came out and valued our house at a price we were both happy with and within the first week we had about 12 viewings and 5 offers. One of these offers was £11k above our asking price which we were obviously delighted with. The next hurdle was the 56 day time frame we had to complete the sale of our home and the purchase from the auction. My wife and I both feel that this would not have been achieved without the hard work of the Kendall's team but we would both like to thank Amanda and Joanne especially! Without the hard work these two stars put in we would not be in our new home now. They kept us constantly updated and were fantastic with chasing up our buyer, our buyers solicitors and everyone else they needed to to get this over the line. Hopefully we will not be selling again anytime soon but if anyone is looking for an estate agent I cannot recommend Kendall's highly enough - I have only given them 5 stars as it wont let me give them 6! Living in a listed building is lovely, but selling one isn't so easy. Our first agent clearly knew little about Listed buildings and overvalued the house greatly. When we swapped to Kendall's the valuation was more realistic and there was a constant dialogue about the best way forward. Our key worker was Mandy in the Ossett team. She remained diligent and optimistic throughout even when a Sale was lost last summer. Even though the house took a long time to sell we had total faith in her resilience, efficiency and understanding. We are glad of this because she did sell the house for us and remained totally committed to the process right up to the very last detail on the completion date
