Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. We sold two properties in Ossett, and the support and help we received from the Ossett office, and Lucy in particular, was fantastic. Both sales were problematic to some extent, one requiring a deed of variation, and the other one requiring additional documentation from the buyer and their solicitor. On multiple occasions, Lucy helped coordinate activities and actions across both sets of solicitors, and the buyer and seller, ensuring that the sales both went to completion. Without her involvement, at least one of the sales would have fallen through. The original marketing of the properties and guidance on asking price was done very professionally, and Richard Kendall’s support in allowing one of the buyers to rent out the property as the sale went through allowed us to accept a slightly lower asking price. I would happily recommend them, and would use them again for future purchases and sales.
I cannot recommend agent Karen Marijewko at Richard Kendall Wakefield, highly enough for her outstanding professionalism and attention to detail throughout our property buying experience. From the initial viewing to the final signing, Karen demonstrated a deep understanding of the market and superb negotiation skills. Her dedication and commitment to finding us the perfect property did not go unnoticed. Thanks to Karen, we were able to secure the beautiful property at Western Road, Tingley, which we now call home. We recently purchased through Richard Kendall, and are very grateful to have had such support and friendly staff to talk to throughout the process. They helped us immensely despite working with truly terrible solicitors on our end, being friendly and approachable, whether in person in Wakefield, on the phone, or via email. They happily passed and received messages on behalf of ourselves and the seller, and never once made us feel unwelcome when doing so. We mainly dealt with Karen, who was proactive and helpful throughout our very long purchase. I could not recommend using Richard Kendall enough and hope to have the pleasure of doing so myself in the future.
