Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. You're welcome to visit anytime to see what it was all about and that's not something you'll hear said to an estate agent very often - speaks volumes 🥰. Thank you.

When I saw my actual flat I call then was weekend still they call me back to book a view. I saw one Sunday loads of views but the process was quiet fast from pré aplication to checks maybe around 2 weeks. Very attentive staff from Horbury office also a great attention when done a fast enquiry on Normanton office. From view and move in maybe around a month. Very happy with my new flat.
I have bought and sold all my properties through Richard Kendall , sold 8 in the last 12 months . I work with Richard Kendall as I have dealt with other Estate Agents and without doubt I have always found them to be consistently professional and extremely efficient throughout the process ! Good communication knew exactly what we're looking for, first flat we unfortunately missed out on but they saved all documents needed so available to transfer to next viewing, which we put offer on and we're accepted immediately, thanks to Alice for her efficiency, I have just inherited a house in east Yorkshire and will get Richard Kendall to handle the sale and then will go back to them when we eventually buy a house on Wakefield after hopefully at least a year in our lovely rental
I recently bought a house in Notton through Richard Kendall and, specifically, Elizabeth Cooke. The process was excellent and Liz performed a first class role in maintaining communication between the vendor, the two sets of lawyers and the surveyors. Everything happened on time with no surprises or any other challenges. Liz is a true professional.
Don’t bother trying to ring and change your appointment, only wanted a little later in the day so my partner could view also. (Still at 5 days notice) so not last minute. They will be extremely rude and tell you that you should just keep that booking and there would be no point in making another booking the following week when it suited the both as us as it will probably be gone. Hope it doesn’t go now and they get stuck with the property for longer. I wouldn’t suggest using these to rent out your house with that type of attitude from staff to potential clients. Shame I won’t use these again now as the next question I had for them was to book a viewing on a second property they had in Horbury also.
I used Richard Kendall as the agents to sell my property and throughout the process any contact with staff was made easy as they were all very helpful & polite. I mainly dealt with Elizabeth Cooke throughout the course of the sale who was excellent. She always seemed very happy and eager to help & was accomadting when I wanted to contact my buyers with any queries and always replied immediately whether that be by email or phone call, but usually both! I would definitely use Richard Kendall again in the future
