Hi all i dont normally do review but ill have ago. Me and wife had our first mortgage. Liam Johnson 1 from PLS help us all the way. It took a while but it is what it is. But to be fair its not PLS fault the other party. But any way thanks to Liam Johnson 1 and the PLS team for getting our first mortgage.

As first time buyers we asked to be kept in the loop and to be shared details of the process. We regularly said it was our first time but were left in the dark during most of the process and felt a bit ignored, which caused extra anxiety! Updates /actions from our solicitor felt quite last minute and weren’t explained clearly causing extra confusion. Luckily the sale has just gone through so thanks to the PLS team for getting it over the line.

I received excellent service from PLS. I was dealing with Sean Hibbert, he was very helpful throughout and always very prompt to reply to emails and deal with any of my questions.

Overall we’ve had a very good experience with PLS. It felt we were kept up to date on a regular basis and Caroline was quick to respond and always helpful. It was good to have the portal as a quick and easy way to access information and know which stage we were at.

My sale seems to be dragging on. Always me that has to ask for an update

Although the sale of house was delayed by the length of time for probate to be filed and granted, Matthew Howard was efficient and patient throughout the process making sure we were up to date with the necessary paperwork resulting in the final painless transition of exchange of contracts yesterday.

Our conveyancing work was managed excellently with clear professionalism Lucy Hubbard & Team, walked with us through the process, explaining each stage honestly and in simple terms while working at pace to beat the set deadlines. We recommend them highly!

I had an incredibly frustrating and awful experience with PLS. They were acting on both the purchase and sale of my property, and their complete lack of communication made the process extremely stressful. Emails and calls went unanswered for weeks and months leaving me in the dark about the progress as well as nothing being explained through out. Even worse, after completion, they withheld my funds for over two weeks with no explanation or urgency to resolve the matter. I had to chase them repeatedly, and their attitude throughout was dismissive and very unprofessional. I strongly advise avoiding this firm if you value transparency, timely communication, and basic customer service. Absolutely appalling experience. The most stressful 10 months of my life, I wish I had read all the bad reviews before agreeing to work with this terrible company.

I had an excellent experience with PLS Solicitors, and I want to give a special commendation to my case handler, Gemma Wilson. She was incredibly patient and understanding regarding all my needs. There were definitely moments when I needed to be handheld, and Gemma was right there with all the relevant information. Her support made a significant difference in my case, and I truly appreciate her dedication. Highly recommend! Gemma, once again I honestly appreciate your tenacity and overall approach with this purchase especially since it was off Plan in March and only completing yesterday! PLS handled our remortgage well and efficiently. They were particularly excellent when it came to a few post-completion items that needed to be addressed urgently due to our house move; Dan in the post-completion did a brilliant job, meaning that everything was resolved in time - we were incredibly grateful for this!

Excellent team Recommendation for others as well

The worst solicitors on the planet! AVOID at all costs. This joke of a company are so unprofessional. Our mortgage did not complete on time even though we gave PLS so much warning. We had to do all the communicating between the solicitor, the bank and help to buy. This companies incompetency resulted in us being charged over £200 in interest. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO DO ALL THE WORK YOURSELF AND DONT MIND STILL PAYING THEM. Even after writing a complaint we were told we had to wait 5 weeks for a response (no surprise we even had to chase them for that).

Working alongside PLS solicitors has been an absolute nightmare; I am a buyer and I am currently more than 8 months in the process. My solicitors have been a dream, but the seller solicitors PLS have not been responding to any of the sellers or the estate agents or my solicitors emails or calls. We have had to create a mailing group of myself and the seller with the estate agents to deal with PLS because they won’t respond to anybody. Searches were complete at the very beginning of May yet it took them until August to send across the management pack despite months of chasing, they hadn’t bothered to even request it until August (3 months delay). My solicitors sent enquiries beginning of August and it took PLS more than 2 months to respond to a single enquiry (October); and they even told the seller that they were waiting on us! Thankfully the estate agent is ccd in all emails so they were able to correct them. We are still waiting on one enquiry after 4 months as PLS sat on it for 3 months, we are unsure of when we can complete as PLS haven’t responded in the past month to any of us. If you wish to complete a purchase or sale within a year, don’t use PLS.
