Playasia Reviews

First time using playasia and I’m so happy with my order. The game I ordered was not available in my region and I saw playasia had it in stock. Once I placed my order it took around 3 weeks to come with standard shipping. Item was brand new and sealed. Will definitely use playasia again in the future

my great friends!!!

disastrous ... just lost money can not contact any one, sounds like a scam of a very poorly coded website

My last three orders did not arrive since they use this weird dutch delivery Service! Customer Service alsays refuses help because the Service fakes delivery

As a long time customer, I've had my fair share of bad Experiences with play-asia, from items out of stock, to delays and more. This time, they decided to split my order into 60328449 and 60328450 and ship by UPS without asking me or even letting me know. Long story short, first package arrived with broker fees that were paid and then delivered. Second package also had broker fees that exceeded the cost of the item itself. UPS ended up seizing the item and so far no solution from Customer Support. Shame on you Play-asia!

I just bought a psn giftcard after less than 10 minutes i got it they are very fast i liked the service it was a easy proces def will buy again respect

I placed a pre order for super robot wars Y collectors edition because it wasn't for sale in the west. I have been buying things from playasia since around 2016. Never had any issues. I try to pre order this time and think everything was done after having to prove my identity several times and go through multiple verification methods. Even had notification that the payment was processing and an order number. I go to check on my order since the game is supposed to be coming out soon. Apparently after all of that they still wanted more verification. I just didn't see the email because I thought it over and done with. Even if I has seen it, that is an absurd amount of hoops to jump through just to give them my money. I uses to trust them and even reccomend people buy from them. From now on I will tell everyone I know that shops online to avoid there. So sad to see a place I used to love shopping at become so awful. So it is with a heavy heart I say don't ever buy from them.

charged me 60$ and sent no items, When I log in, it says the items were never purchased.

I signed up to purchase game gift cards, but after the purchase I received an email asking me to verify my identity by taking a selfie with my passport and the card I used to pay for my purchase, which does not make any sense. I do not have to give such sensitive information to any website in order to buy anything. They said that I can use PayPal to pay wihout going through this ID verification phase, but if I use PayPal they can not guarantee that the system will not ask me for the same ID verification. Therefore I discarded PayPal as a payment option. The same email said that the only way to avoid the required ID verification is to use a 3DS verified debit/credit card to pay. I did so. I bought 8 euro gift card with my 3DS verified debit card, but I had to wait several hours for security check before I actually receive the gift card I paid for. Next day, I tried to purchase a 66 euro gift card, I paid using the same debit card I used before, the purchase went also into a security check, then after about 20 minutes I received an email telling me that my purchase was rejected, and I have to do the required verification process in order to purchase the gift card. Honestly, they refunded the payment of the rejected order. But the entire service looks like a bait to steal your photo and identity information. I will never use this website again.

I preordered some items, and when they released, they discovered they weren't in stock. And on top of that, for some reason, they keep holding my money until today. Absolutely terrible service and communication

Worst experience ever. I ordered a product, paid in full, and never received it. Reached out multiple times, but customer service ignored my emails. No refund, no updates, nothing. I trusted this store, but it felt like a scam. Will never order from here again.

Bought a digital redeem code, and they asked for my credit card, photo ID, and a picture of my face. Seriously? This is outrageous for a digital purchase. I paid via PayPal, which already verifies identity. Stay away unless you want to risk your personal information just to get a simple code.

I feel that the service aspect regarding discounts and loyalty is very poor. The product category related to digital cards is particularly poor. I don't think there are many people who intend to use this store for a long time.

Play-Asia are meant to be a legitimate business however they have the most anti-consumer policies. Prices are so high they make scalpers look good. Even with their discount promotions, games are still priced above retail. As an example, Persona 5 Royal [Phantom Thieves Edition] on PS4 is selling for 343 USD, the MSRP for this is 90 USD. You can get this cheaper from scalpers on Ebay. Over priced shipping, a single game shipped to Australia is 11USD. I've had shipments from Canada, US and all parts of Europe for less than half that cost. The cost of shipping is to cover the cost paid to the courier to make the delivery, Play-Asia should not be making huge margins on shipping, as they don't do the shipping themselves. Now to their business model. Don't believe their website or posts on social media, Play-Asia does not hold stock. For example, say you purchase three games, and one of them is pending stock arrival. Those two games in stock will not be held in reserve and will be shipped to other buyers if possible. So if that one item becomes available, there is a chance the other two games will go into pending or unavailable state, meaning you will need to wait for that game to be in stock again. You need to hope that by chance, all three games in stock at the same time for your order to be shipped. In theory, and I've experienced this in practice, you could be waiting indefinitely for all items on your order to be available. All of this is wrong, as you have to pay for the order in full. This company has no problem selling games that you have already paid for. This is theft. Even worse, if the games you purchased are all in stock, there is still a chance you wont get your order. I recently made a purchase on the 11 July 2025, expected ship date was 13 July 2025. I make it a point to only make a purchase if items are in stock. Today, order ship date was delayed to the end of July 2025. Even though all items I purchased were in stock, they have been sold to other people, or they inventory management system does not update regularly. Ridiculous in every sense. Play-Asia is an awful company, filled in awful customer service defending these anti consumer policies. Play-Asia have a slight monopoly with Asia exclusive games, however other retailers are now getting into this. I hope other retailers continue to expand so no gamer has to rely on Play-Asia. This company hates gamers and laughs in your face as you give them your hard earned money and then sell your purchased products to others. Play-Asia should always be a last resort. Buy from Videogamesplus, buy from Amazon, buy from EBGames/Gamestop, buy from scalpers on Ebay. They all offer games at better prices, with same level of service.

Delivery on the day it said it would deliver, very good tracking and overall good experience :) the delivery fee was for me 30€ do about 70% of the product I ordered which was a little unfortunate

COLLECTING FULL PAYMENT FOR ITEM WHICH IS NOT IN STOCK. Delayed multiple times from the expected delivery date. (Using "EXPRESS DELIVERY") Simply reply "SUPPLIER CANT GIVE US THE DATE TO RESTOCK" *Update: delivery status changed to "HOLD" from "PREPARING ORDER"* For those who pre-order or purchasing hot item, good luck receiving "OUR SUPPLIER CANT GIVE US ETA" replies.

Digital items get delivered immediately and the prices are fair. Physical items are more affordably priced and sent out quite quickly (CDs in my case), but "economy" shipping really does take a lot of time to deliver (in my case: just over 3 weeks to Germany). On the plus side, customs are a non-issue up to a certain order cost, and the items have all safely arrived so far.
