I was dealt with today, by MiaB (MB1), at One Protect, via online chat. The service was polite, courteous and helpful. She found me a better insurance premium deal than that which I been quoted, so happy days! I would recommend One Prptect for all insurance needs.

Firstly let me say, the cheapest is definitely not always the best. I purchased a cheap second hand car, more or less the same year, size etc as the one it was replacing. I phoned this company to change the details fully expecting an administration charge of say £25. I was told that to do this the cost would be £98 !!! 'Got you over a barrel' is the expression !! I am 6 months into the policy and know the resultant cancellation charge and administration fee would mean I got little in the way of a refund. To make matters worse the only way you can converse with the company is via an online chat. I would not recommend this company at all, in fact I would say steer clear of them - DONT get drawn in because they are cheap

Terrible experience with One Protect. They added over £400 to my premium for a disputed claim that was originally confirmed as non-fault, and refused to hold the amendment while the complaint was ongoing. The only concession offered was an extra week, yet no updates were made to my account, so I still received a cancellation letter a week early. I’ve been left paying under protest just to stay insured. Completely unfair and very poor customer service.

My first time in using a 'Compare' website. One Protect came up as the best option several times on different sites so I bit the bullet as such. The only draw back was not being able to actually speak with a human being, albeit there was a 'Chat' option, but there was always a timed queue to join that. The one thing that I wanted was to receive Paper Copies of my Car Insurance as we don't have a functioning printer at present and 'Elizabeth W' & 'Hannah M' both assured me that I would be able to do this in My Portal, once I had made my payments. HOWEVER 'HANNAH M' DID REASSURE ME THAT SHE WOULD OVERSEE THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A PAPER COPY OF MY CAR INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION!!! NOTE > UNFORTUNATELY I'VE NOT RECEIVED THE DOCUMENTATION AS OF YET THOUGH.

I found this company on a comparison site, it was about right in price and recovery an extra amount. Allowing fir the fact that thus policy has nit even started i read that an admin fee would be required. The recovery is absolutely of for no use And tried to have removed but the chat lines you never get a reply. If I had read the reviews I doubt if I would have used them as the admin fees must pay their wages and holidays in far away places. Si beware read before you buy
Bought insurance May 2025, cancelled Sept 2025. Premium £280 Refund once fees deducted £31 refund Outrageous. Won't use again
