Like others, I have had nothing good to say about Newton Property Management Ltd.
Their accounts department is a shambles and regularly have unexplained costs on invoices. when queried, get ignored but your bill keeps going up and up.
If you follow their in house complaints procedure, you will either get a helpful director, who will phone and acknowledge your concerns, once in a blue moon, or more commonly, you get a rude obnoxious email about how it isn't their fault and they wont do anything about the situation(s).
Oh, and they are ineffective at manging property and hire contractors who will show up, sit in their vehicles and do nothing, and then charge an extortionate amount for doing so.
Avoid a property managed by Newton like the plague, to which the plague would be a more enjoyable, less stressful experience.
If it was possible to give 0 stars that would be the rating! Newton Property Management deliver extremely poor service for a high fee. Don't buy a property they manage, they will financially drain you.
I find the other reviews on this company to be rather bewildering. I've been a customer with the Glasgow branch for 20 years, and have never encountered any of the problems that others are discussing here - maybe it's not the Glasgow Office they're dealing with?! I've also worked with them as a contractor for many years. In both cases, I found the property managers and other staff to be easy to communicate with, and usually prompt to action queries and resolve issues. I'm regularly in touch with their staff, and my experiences have been diametrically opposite to those described in the poor reviews posted here. It would be interesting to see which office they deal with. I've awarded 4 stars. I'd have given 5, but there's probably a better factor out there - I just havn't worked with them yet.
Absolutely useless. I have had water leaking into my property for over a year now, and had nothing but broken promises from them. On the rare occasion they do actually call call me back or reply to an email, I just get fobbed off with some other excuse about why works are delayed. The worst experience I’ve ever had with a factor.
Took staff multiple attempts to resolve a very basic query when moving into my property.
Every engagement since has not filled me with confidence that they’re a factor worth staying with. A view held by other residents in the development too.
Post-CoViD residents will be looking to meet and discuss their performance and options available.
