Upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted with a sign and taken to the office. The registration process took 10 minutes, after which we received the keys to the car. The car was clean with enough fuel. There were no problems during the use of the car, the car fully corresponded to the description. The car return process took no more than 5 minutes, after which the company representatives took us to the airport. We are satisfied. I recommend

Finger weg!!!!

Leider, war die Erfahrung mit MatCarRental die schlechteste, die wir je bei einer Autovermietung gemacht haben – und wir haben bereits viele Male gemietet. Zunächst wurde uns nicht das versprochene Fahrzeug übergeben. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass unser eigentlich gebuchtes Auto zwei Tage später nachgeliefert wird. Es kam zwar am nächsten Tag, aber wir hatten das erste Fahrzeug bereits halbgetankt zurückgegeben – im Gegenzug erhielten wir ein Auto mit deutlich weniger Tankfüllung. Dann stellten wir fest, dass sich die Türen des Fahrzeugs nicht richtig abschließen ließen – ein erhebliches Sicherheitsproblem. Als wäre das nicht genug, löste sich das Fenster auf der Fahrerseite komplett und ließ sich nicht mehr schließen. Wir mussten zunächst eine halbe Stunde warten, bis wir überhaupt an eine Werkstatt verwiesen wurden. Dann folgte eine 15-minütige Fahrt dorthin, gefolgt von einer zweistündigen Reparatur. Im Anschluss mussten wir nochmals 30 Minuten warten, bis die Kostenübernahme per Überweisung geklärt war. Der absolute Höhepunkt war dann die Aussage seitens MatCarRental, dass wir beweisen sollten, dass der Schaden nicht durch uns verursacht wurde – eine absurde Unterstellung nach all den Problemen mit ihren Fahrzeugen. Diese Erfahrung war nicht nur ärgerlich, sondern auch extrem zeitaufwendig und frustrierend. Wir hoffen, dass MatCarRental solche Missstände künftig ernst nimmt und seine Servicequalität dringend verbessert.

They charged me extra €20/day, what was €160,00 extra for me for omium insurance will i ordered it through discover cars web site: pure gangster practice. Nobody speaks english or they do not to understand you. Never again

Best to book your rental somewhere else

I would strongly recommend not to rent with this company. They are pushy in selling their insurance even when you decline politely and tell them you have one. Furthermore they charged me 3000 lira for tol. That would be 1000 lira a day when one of the day’s I didn’t even use a tol road. When I asked them for some form of proof they act like they don’t understand you and say that the receipt will suffice.

Great experience with the rental company.The car was clean and in good condition.Office outside the airport , but you are picked up by shuttle driver . Paper work was done quick and ready to drive .next time again

Très mauvaise expérience avec Matcar Rental à Bodrum

Nous avons loué un véhicule via le prestataire Wisecar à la société Matcar Rental à Bodrum. Nous devions prendre le véhicule le 28 mai 2025. La réservation a été confirmée par le prestataire 2 jours avant la location. Arrivé sur place nous avons demandé à un autre loueur ou se trouvait Matcar. Celui-ci nous a informé que la société était fermée. Contrairement à ce qui est mentionné sur le site de Matcar Rental les bureaux ne se trouvent pas dans l’aéroport mais à 5 km de celui-ci. Nous avons dès lors contacté Matcar qui nous a informé que la réservation avait été annulée le 05 mai et ceci sans nous prévenir nous ou le prestataire. Visiblement quand ils ferment un bureau il ne préviennent pas leurs clients. Nous avons donc contacté Wisecar qui nous a aidé à trouver un autre loueur en prenant en charge les frais supplémentaire de location. Très bon service de Wisecar et service exécrable de Matcar.

A good company to deal with

A good company to deal with We rented from Matcar twice over the past month and a half - late April and early May. Both times our experience was quite favorable. Important to know - evidently, Matcar has a number of affiliated or subcontracting companies in various parts of Turkey (which is quite a large country), so any particular experience may be due to a particular subcontractor. Ours was favorable both times. Again, the important thing to keep in mind - you need to call Matcar when you arrive, then a driver with a car comes up within 10-15 minutes and takes you to the actual rental carpark. Overall it takes about 30-40 minutes. All the cars were clean and new, no more than 1 year old (our second car had run about 10 K kilometres only). The staff was very helpful and efficient. When we were returning the car, we were in a hurry to get back to the airport as we miscalculated our departure time. One of the staff stopped doing the servicing of another car just to take us to the airport in time, we were tremendously happy. And, a pleasant surprise, there was zero excess and zero deposit. So, overall it was very good. I would certainly recommend it to potential customers.

stay away

We have rented cars in Istanbul from different companies for the last 3 years. The fact that this company has 4.8 is completely beyond me. If you have a family and small children and care about safety don’t book with this company. I’ll try to keep this short. Firstly, within 10 minutes of driving our car broke down on the motorway. It was 11:30pm and cold outside. We were travelling with our 1 year and 4 year old. The company said they couldn’t send anyone to us because the shop had been closed (event hough they are supposedly open 24/7 on Google and we were only 10min away)and we told them we were stuck with 2 small children on the motorway. It was so so dangerous. We continued to call and message and eventually by 2am we were sent breakdown cover. They replaced the car and the brakes in the second car were faulty and not working. By this time we couldn’t drive to our accommodation, so we had to book an emergency hotel for the night for £180. We took the car to get replaced the next morning. This is the 3rd car now. We had to wait for hours again. I can’t tell you the distress that this entire experience caused us. We asked them to reimburse the hotel and provided an invoice and they refused. They provided zero compensation and said the car broke down because of fuel. So, they had less than 20km of fuel in the tank when they gave us the car in the first place, which was so dangerous. On top of that they charged us “tax” at the end, which when we checked was a lie and already included in the toll fees. Just utterly rubbish. A really terrible experience overall. Never ever again.

Road fees

I have been charged more than $80 in road tolls last rental car contract and when I contacted them they have not refunded this amount till today even though it has been more than 12 days since the vehicle was delivered. And they don't answer my request on whatsapp massage.

Отличная компания. Все быстро и слажено. Брали автомобиль с 29 апреля по 4 мая 2025 года. Все супер. В аэропорту Антальи получили и сдали автомобиль. Языковой барьер решался через транслейт. Будем обращаться.

It was an excellent experience with Matcar. The car was clean inside and out — it could have used a better wash, but I didn’t mind since it was rainy. Pick-up and drop-off went smoothly. The staff were respectful, and all the dealings were clear. An additional insurance fee of 450 lira was paid. They have an office near the airport and deliver the car there for pick-up, which was convenient. I recommend them to anyone looking for a rental car. Communication after booking was good — I received helpful support from Tugba, who was very attentive and followed up with me nicely.

Осталась довольна работой с данной компанией. Брала авто на неделю, машину выдали чистой. Оформили быстро, менеджер все рассказал. При бронировании тоже были на связи. При сдаче авто проблем не возникло. Рекомендую!
