Absolutely terrible customer service

I loved this store and the toys, but if something goes wrong with your order the customer service is absolutely horrendous. I used to recommend everyone to them, but now I will warn everyone not to use them. I placed an order for what my daughter wanted most for her birthday just shy of one month before her birthday to ensure I had it in time for her. It never got delivered until after one month later which was almost one week after her birthday. They basically told me that it was back ordered and they didn’t have it in stock. They sold me something they didn’t have in hand. They did nothing to reimburse or help the situation either. They are an absolutely terrible company and desperately need help in their customer service department. They would receive worse than an F with this experience in how bad their customer service was.

Kids/Grandkids Will Love Lakeshore Learning Products

My grandkids love playing with the Lakeshore Learning products I've given them (marble runs, water rocket) - they're well made, great fun, and educational. When one of the small parts of one of the marble runs broke, I called Customer Service, and the rep I spoke with (Amy) was very friendly and helpful, and said she would have a replacement shipped for no charge!

Order still says processing after a week.

I’ve been trying to contact them since last week about my order, no response. The site says they ship within 3 days, & it’s been over a week now.

Very Poor Service

Our order was placed on 12/11. It was supposed to ship within 3 business days, but did not ship until an entire week later on 12/18. Furthermore, the shipping service Lakeshore provides must be the slowest kind, because our family still has not received this order and won’t until 12/26 now. These items were supposed to be Christmas gifts and now will be late. When notifying customer service about this problem, they just blamed it on the holidays and made no offer to help compensate for this problem. All other companies and FedEx have managed to deliver their shipments in good time this season, so Lakeshore should not promise to ship within three business days if it’s not realistic for them, and still use the slowest shipping service on top of that. Lakeshore needs to do better for their customers who pay a lot of good money to try their products. This was our first time ordering from Lakeshore and will be our last. We will not recommend Lakeshore to anybody.

They need to fix there customer service…

They need to fix there customer service center on the 800 number. I ordered toys by phone. They sent me a 25% discount on 1 product and when I tried to use it some how who ever it was taking my order never applied it, and I never got my discount. I called back and after a long time waiting they gave me the correct amount. I called back again to tell them they never adjusted the price and got the answering machine 3 times even though I called on regular business hours. I left a message like they said, but didn’t get a call back. I don’t think I will be doing business with these people anymore. It’s a shame they have cute & well built products, but it’s not worth the hassle you have to go through to get it. I will continue to call them until I get results.. They owe me at least $10.00. If done right in the first place we wouldn’t be talking about it. Again it’s not that much but what’s the point of giving out the coupons.

Terrible customer service on 800# When stores there is…

When I buy from the stores there is never a problem. The people are nice and everything goes well. I wish I could say the same when I call the 800#. I have been a good customer of Lakeshore Learning having 8 grandchildren but every time I want to use a $5 reward they send me via email there is an issue. To buy two paint sets took 3 people because my rewards wouldn’t work. I had 636 points which everyone agreed. It subtracted 500 points for the $5 reward I redeemed leaving 136 points but nobody could figure out where the reward went. I spent close to an hour on the phone. Finally, the third person saw there was a glitch in the system. If this happened once I could understand but every time there is a reward involved I get the feeling they don’t want to give it to you. If I was not persistent they would not have given it to me. It’s only $5 but it is the principle of the thing. You get an email saying you have 636 points and you earned it. Using it is another story. All they had to do was look up how much I order and know that I was not trying to rip them off. Terrible customer service at the 800 #. Goodbye Lakeshore Learning.

Emergent Readers

Our school ordered the Short Vowels Skill-Building Book Set and the first grade students are doing so well learning to read! The colorful illustrations and short sentences are ideal for emerging readers! Highly recommend this set and the set with blends and digraphs.

I ordered a gift for my grandson for…

I ordered a gift for my grandson for his birthday and it quit working within a couple of weeks. I contacted Lakeshore Learning and within an hour I received a response that a replacement was on the way. Great customer service! I will definitely order again in the future.

Does not respect privacy laws

This company does not respect privacy laws. I have unsubscribed from their mailing list at least 3 times over the course of a year and they keep mailing junk mail to my house. Worse yet when I unsubscribed through their website they then added me to an email marketing list. The unsubscribe link in their promo emails then doesn't work. Very shady marketing practices.

$40 wasted, son never received present

I spent $40 as a first time customer on my son for his 5th birthday and received absolutely nothing in the mail, when i called in i was told the package went to another address. When i asked if they could do anything for me i was just told the address entered was legitimate. I initially thought this looked like a pretty cool website and probably would've bought from here again. Not the case now, my business has been lost!
