So responsive and helpful, even when I made a stupid error. Very grateful for their help.
Prompt help provided
I had an issue with my email so issued a ticket. The response times where extremely quick and very friendly. It was a really good experience and my issue is now resolved.
They dragged me through the experience of dealing with an AWOL host, if it wasn't for the support they provided i would have lost my domain. Thanks guys!
I'm feeling like I've got the most knowledgeable customer service agent ever, had a few issues that (Andreea E) solved like a magician !!! Absolute superstar !!!
Always great customer service when needed
Our company has been using Heart Internet for hosting our websites for many years now. On the whole the service is good, but it some areas it could and should (in today's modern world) be better. Some reviewers have commented that Heart Internet are a bit out of date with their services, and perhaps that is true, but hopefully with the new company (Your.Online B.V.) taking over this will hopefully improve. As for technical support, this can be a little slow sometimes at busy periods, but I think you could probably expect that from any major webhosting provider. I've always found their staffs advice and support very helpful and supportive within their allowed support role.
Andrei was really helpful with a problem I had with email. He responded quickly with updated settings and the issue was resolved within 24 hours.
After the demise of Falcoda, Heart have been great in helping our club gain control over our domain names again and to get us transferred across to their own hosting with little disruption. Prompt responses to our queries and kept us up-to-date throughout the process.
Heart Internet have always been a backbone to my business. I have limited ability with internetty things, so their considerable patience and professional solutions mean I dont need to know the real word for internetty.....they just get it done allowing me to get on with the work I am good at. 5*
I have been with Heart since 2006, now 18 years (!) and have never had any major issues. If I have encountered a problem then the customer service has always been efficient and friendly.
Quick & Helpful - Thank you
Thank you very much for Andy W's help and support. He went above and beyond to help me (a pensioner) get what was needed, and as I am so non-tech, his help made things work. So, five stars for the help and support from customer service, but a FAR lower score for prices for a registered charity, especially the really high cost of SSL, which all websites now need, and most other hosting services have for free. It's nearly £50 a pop. PLEASE get more competitive with your pricing for registered charities, as not offering registered charity discounts looks terrible.
Absolutely abysmal service. I was with them for 6 years, never had any reason to contact them, however when I needed access to SSH and php 8.2 on my server (basic feature any developer should expect in late 2024), this is where things got bad. SSH "access" was granted after a 4 day wait, however I had no access to Composer or even the PHP command, rendering SSH access COMPLETELY useless for any competent PHP developer. The only thing I could do was remove files. What exactly is the point of this. PHP 8.2 was enabled, however basic components had not been enabled such as the GD image library, meaning my site was still unusable. I was told that GD could not be installed on this PHP version as it would affect others on the same server... however GD is actually an extension which just need to be enabled, not installed. I was then told to switch my site to use Imagik instead of GD, but of course, this was not enabled on this PHP version either. After wasting another 3 days (my website being down the whole time) I was told that to use composer and GD with PHP 8.2 I would need to move to a cPannel hosting package which would be discontinued in 2 months, at which point I would need to migrate BACK to the original package which would have been updated. They offered this as a solution so obviously I assumed this would be done on my behalf, free of charge, however I was expected to pay for the replacement service and migrate everything myself... because THEIR system is out of date... absolutely disgusting. After wasting over 2 weeks in total and having my website unusable the entire time, I decided to move away to a popular host located in Germany, where I was able to setup an account, upload my files, configure the DNS, setup my email accounts, access SSH, compile my website, upload my old files & database and have the domain transferred and live, by myself, in less than 90 minutes. At this point I wanted to cancel my Heart hosting package, after much searching I found that I would need to raise a ticket to do this as there is no simple way to cancel your account. 2024 btw. I raised a ticket asking that my package be cancelled and the DNS/Nameservers be maintained when parking my domain. I got a response the next day telling me my nameservers. I asked them if my package had been cancelled... they said no. Are you actually serious at this point? So if I hadn't asked you would have continued to take my money even AFTER being told explicitly to cancel it. I am currently waiting for a response, because of course I have to wait another day for a response to my ticket, it's Heart Internet after all. SLOW, SLOW, SLOW seems to be the theme. Aside from these issues, over the 6 years I was with Heart, my email was unavailable for an extended period of time on 4 separate occasions, I have been unable to send mail through their SMTP server many times, the control panel is slow, many of the features listed in the hosting manager simply do not function and I was unable to create additional email address and databases for the last 6 months. I wanted to support British businesses but if this is the level of service on offer, I can't in good faith recommend Heart Internet.
I've been a heart customer for around 10 years now. I cant fault their customer service its been fantastic. No reason to consider going anywhere else
Things are looking up.have managed with Andrew`s help to get up and running again, great stuff!
My problem? : I had paid for renewal for 9 years in 2015 so completely forgot about it and also changed e mail addresses. As a result I did not get the renewal notice and they had no phnoe number either so it expired!! Right in this busy period for me. Anyway it was a real hassle over the weekend to sort it as their chat service is Mon - Fri UK office hours only. Note that. Their ticket service is slow compared with chat. In the end I chatted with Andrei who was extremely helpful and manged to get me up and running on Monday morning 30th . Just make sure you keep your e mail address up to date with them and your password and tel number. It was a very stressful 4 days having my whole business website down. Lucky it got noticed by my web designer !! Phew !!! Nte if you have the same problem make sure you have ID papers. and proof of address HMRC, Tax bank statement , driving licence etc to upload. VERY important.
Helpful and prompt customer service
Having locked myself out of both Heart internet Accounts I reached out to Charles Pugh Glass Ltd located next to Heart Internet. Asking if he could raise awareness with Heart Internet located next door. What happened next is what you see in movies for as I was talking to the gentleman from Charles Pugh, my telephone rang. It was Adam from Heart internet, who got me up and running again. Today was a day when Heart Internets customer Service did not raise the bar, it pushed it around the Solar System and back. In closing I would be grateful if you would visit Charle Pugh Glass and thank the gentleman who took my telephone call. With my very best wishes to you all! John White Professional Life Coach
