I was impressed by his communication style about the process, and the way he honestly managed my expectations on timing and potential obstacles. He and his staff kept me informed at each step. As Jim will surely attest, I often have questions to ensure I am properly understanding the implications of the decisions we are making. I really appreciate the patience Jim showed me during this process so far. I am typically a DIY type person, but I felt like hiring Jim was the right move here, even though I could technically submit my own application to the USPTO. The biggest benefit to me was to understand the chances that my application would be accepted so I am not likely wasting time down the road redoing things. There also were some nuances I may have missed in the application process that Jim was able to point out, saving me further time. The application is still going through the lengthy wait times at the USPTO, but so far so good.
