PJ in Hemel Hempstead was very helpful when I had an issue with my daughters bike

I took my bike in for a top end service. Received it the next day and it just looked like the bike was sprayed with lacquer 🤬 The service should have been a complete strip down, deep clean, lubed and new cables fitted ready for a very long bike ride. When it came back, the chain was still oily black, hubs were still creaking and the gears now skipped. Took it back in, pointed out my observations and it then went through another top end service. This time the drivetrain had been removed and deep cleaned and a new chain fitted but I noticed a few more problems which would have damaged me or my bike if I hadn’t noticed them The new shimano chain can only be fitted one way - it was on the wrong way round The tyres have a maximum tyre pressure - they were inflated far too high The chain was bending over the front derailleur when in lowest gear Very very poor service, especially since I paid a premium rate and will not be going back ever

I booked my car in for an MOT on 06/06/2025. The date and time were 28/06 at 4pm at my Local Halfords. The booking was done on line and confirmed with emails and numerous texts reminding me of the booking This morning at 9:30 the booking was cancelled. The garage claim that they had the car booked for 8:30 not 4 pm. This was not true. All the emails and texts confirm the time. Obviously the Borehamwood MOT centre wanted to go home early. If this centre is one that you would use. I would suggest making v sure that your booking will Go ahead.

I wrote to Halfords to cancel my auto club membership, They said it would be cancelled by a link at renewal date, but they cancelled anyway. And then took a renewal fee anyway. I class that as fraudulent.
