    Inchcape recently bought my car…

    Inchcape recently bought my car promised to pay the finance settlement figure it's been over a week now and finance is still not settled. After another two days of chasing finance still has not been settled. To make matters worse the car is now listed for sale at Toyota Derby. Finance finally has been settled

    Mercedes Benz Derby…

    I dropped into Mercedes Benz Derby after visiting Derby Uni nearby. I had a warranty issue with my tyre inflating kit. I found the staff extremely helpful with the repairs programmed very efficiently.

    Excellent Service!

    The recent interaction was with regard to the purchase of a new Touran at "Group 1 VW Manchester". Kyle Mills was the member of staff who dealt with us from initial inquiry to delivery. Our experience with him was excellent and he dealt with all our questions with patience. He was both friendly and professional in his manner at all times. This is the second car purchased at this dealership over 20 years and we are very happy with the experience.

    Good teamwork.

    Used car sales team proved to be patient, knowledgeable and helpful. The chosen car was valeted and quickly made available after purchase. Part exchange value was reasonable and the paperwork transfer was made easy with minimal involvement from me.

    £2000 in criminal damage to Transit van

    We had a terrible experience with this outfit at their Newbury Garage. On collection of my vehicle after repair their card machine failed and triggered a 'payment pending' message at my bank (the same happened to the customer after me). Leaving me with insufficient funds to make a second payment. Despite the fact the delay was their fault, and payment was pending, they refused to let me take the van and insisted on detaining it. This caused huge problems with my business. Their interest in customer care is zero. Their failings and problems are passed to you. Their basic attitude is “Couldn’t care less. It’s your problem, not ours.” It took 6 days to sort out their payment mess. When I returned to collect the van I found one rear door had been cut open and the vehicle broken into. Causing £2000 in damage. Again their attitude was “not our problem”. They had left the vehicle on the forecourt, untended and unprotected. Also, they don’t have adequate insurance, so they are keen to pass liability on to you, even when you are not at fault. They disclaimed all responsibility for the damage, despite the fact that it was their card machine failure, insistence on keeping the vehicle, wilful neglect, and criminal acts taking place at their garage that caused it. They failed to respond to my last email and this, plus the fact they did not report the crime to the police suggests they are covering something up. When they ran out of lies and evasions in answer to my claim they set their lawyers on me. Clearly, they would rather pay for expensive lawyers to do their dirty work for them than accept responsibility and look after their customers’ property. This is a rogue operator. Something must be seriously wrong with Ford UK if they are awarding franchises to cowboys like Group1 Auto. Best avoided, unless you want your vehicle to be handed back to you as a wreck.

    Disgraceful service.

    Disgraceful service. Arrogant and conceited. BMW should consider how their intermediaries are harming their own branding. Post sales I did not get an invoice and have asked several times only to be told by arrogant reception that will happen and never does. Refusal to do anything different at any time. Arrogance from being a franchisee and not earning their place via good work and service

    Absolutely fantastic

    Absolutely fantastic service at the Stockport Branch. From start to finish Kurt was wonderful in helping to pick a new car with a whirl of knowledge and kept in touch along the way to collection. All staff was pleasant nothing is too much trouble for the team. Thanks to all especially Kurt.

    Did not follow written requests

    They did not follow (three) written requests. Stop sending email survey forms, I think I received three. Followed by a phone call asking for my opinion of their service! They didn't have any other details at hand other than my phone number and name.Very unprofessional.Excessive labour and repair charges. Contradictory advice about the complimentary warranty.Will avoid in future.

    Service, booked an appointment in advance, online. Booked a waiting visit and 10.30 appointment. At 12.30 I approached a member of staff to see if my car was ready, only to be told that the service was only just starting…I wasn’t pleased

    My car didn’t get the correct service…

    My car didn’t get the correct service even though I’m paying for service plan plus. So VW tried to charge me another £100 odd. When I queried it I was told I was wrong. Four phone calls and two emails later it’s finally being done because someone checked the paperwork your end and realised your mistake. Bad experience buying the car from Group 1, bad experience of Service although staff are polite. If it wasn’t for my warranty wouldn’t have it serviced at Group 1.
