    Poor service

    I made an appointment for my car to be serviced and a courtesy car on 9 December at 10.00am. I arrived at 09.55am and was told there was no courtesy car available. I was asked to wait for an hour and in that time my car would be serviced and cleaned inside and out. My car was returned to me an an hour and 45 minutes later. I was told the paperwork would be sent to me in the post. My car hadn’t been cleaned and I still haven’t received the paperwork.

    C63 AMG Thermostat

    I booked my car in for an engine management warning light issue. The fault was diagnosed quickly, the part ordered, and the work completed the following day. I was kept fully informed, given a price for the work to be completed, and informed when the car was ready to be collected. The staff were very courteous and polite throughout

    Maidstone VW Group 1

    Maidstone VW Group 1. Customer service dries up once they have your money. The upside was that the car was prepared well and clean. Never had an experience where during any of our 3 visits weren’t even offered refreshments. Over 2 months on I am still chasing them for my policy documents on the extended Group 1 warranty for years 3&4. It took lots of emails to just eventually obtain my VW policy schedule and documents. So far have been told it has been passed to area manager but haven’t heard from him at all in a month. It appears that the wrong email address was used but nothing has been done to resolve this. Peculiar as I received numerous emails trying to sell extras prior to completion of the sale so they definitely knew my email address. Worst bit was we had a breakdown a few days after collecting and didn’t have any information on who to call and had to contact sales for the appropriate number and were still giving the wrong one. Nothing appears to have been taken seriously since we handed over the money. Contacted their complaints team who don’t bother following up, they are a complete sham. Never again. We are purchasing a couple of used VW’s within the family from a different VW dealer in Ashford instead. This company probably won’t be around for long judging from the reviews on here and the woeful attitude towards customers appears systematic throughout the company. Surprising for a company who rely on customer sales and I would have thought would like return customers, especially in these financial times, but it would seem not. As an add on, I finally got my documents only after having to request a refund. To this day no response from this review so that seems to confirm they don’t care about customer satisfaction. I am getting much better customer service from JCB VW.

    72 reg vehicle requiring estimated £962 to repair

    September 2024 I bought a used 72 reg Mini Cooper from Inchcape Reading. Their personal sales video for me described it as being in very good condition. After purchase it became clear that there was a serious issue with the windscreen. Inchcape Reading were made aware of the issue and the car was returned to them for inspection. They did so but declined to repair it. We subsequently got a second opinion from another Mini main dealer who said they would not sell a vehicle in that condition and gave an estimate of £962 to remedy. I also contacted Mini UK to assist at this point but they were able to have no impact on the outcome. I have been left to fund this repair myself and seek refund via the small claims court should I wish, but want to warn others of my experience.

    My grateful thanks to Warrington Toyota for a very professional customer focused service. From first contact treated with respect , politeness and made to feel very special. Special thanks to Elliot sales, Adam for explaining how the tec works and connecting our I phones. Kept informed of the process at every step had the car within 2 weeks Toyota Aygo Edge in white. Only downside, it’s too nice to drive ! Tom kept us updated re when the payment had been accepted. Toyota respond to you e mails in real time,don’t keep you waiting. Would highy recommend this dealer, took out the service plan, this and the potential to extend the guarantee period is the best on the market. Regards Ken

    James was an excellent person

    James was an excellent sales person from first meeting him he was very patient with us as we were unsure of what vehicle we actually wanted, we had three in mind and we were shown each one precisely and efficiently by James, who definitely knew his cars, over the two days it took us to decide which car we wanted, including test driving, he was very very professional, he is indeed a credit to the VW group. We are also very pleased with our purchase.

    A great customer experience!

    I’d like to share my experience of purchasing my first new electric vehicle (EV) from Mercedes Derby, located at St. Christopher’s Way in Derby. Upon visiting the dealership, I met with Jibral Hussain, who demonstrated exceptional knowledge and experience with the GLA and EQA models. I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and his willingness to answer all my questions. Unlike previous experiences with dealerships where I felt pressured to make a decision, Jibral took the time to listen to my needs and gave me valuable advice. He even cautioned against making a hasty decision, helping me to clearly identify my actual requirements. Jibral arranged test drives for both the GLA and EQA, which greatly aided my decision-making process. From my first visit through to the purchase, the entire experience was smooth and seamless. Ben, also assisted in finding the perfect vehicle for me. I appreciated his expertise, particularly regarding the EQA’s battery management system. Before finalising the purchase of my first electric vehicle (an EQA AMG Line), Jibral was always available to answer my many questions over the phone. He was more than happy to clarify any concerns I had. When the day arrived to collect my new EQA, Jibral had arranged a cover for the vehicle. After a brief induction, he handed me the keys and invited me to unveil the car, adding a thoughtful and memorable touch to the occasion. Since purchasing my EQA, Jibral has kept in contact with me to provide aftersales support, which has been especially helpful as this is my first EV. Over the years, I’ve purchased several new cars from various dealerships, but I can confidently say that my experience with Mercedes Derby has been exemplary. The dealership has clearly adopted a strategy/philosophy that prioritises knowledgeable staff and customer-focused service, ensuring that customers feel valued every step of the way.

    Unprofessional

    Group1auto Lowestoft accepted my online deposit for a car they didn’t actually have for sale! Despite countless phone calls and lots of emails asking for my deposit to be returned, it took them six weeks before they finally returned my deposit! They failed to return my calls or emails. Unprofessional company in my honest opinion, you have been warned, stay well clear of these clowns. Also the customer service complaints email address is none existent, your email will just bounce back! I have contacted VW direct to declare my disgust and disappointment with Group1Auto Lowestoft.

    Group1 Toyota Medway

    Honestly, the absolute worst customer service from ‘Jack’ I think his name was, that I have ever experienced. On the phone, he was rushy, rude, talked over me and even ignored what I said, whilst, again, talking over me. I literally wanted to book something in, I have never left a complaint before, anywhere, but this boy was useless waste of time and an embarrassment to the company. I have decided to go elsewhere because of him.

    Mercedes Recall

    Complete shambles

    Complete shambles Yes nice video of the fantastic car you are buying.. In reality...no service history One key No manual No mention of the warranty No mention of the breakdown cover 14 day love it or return it.. only back to the dealership where it was bought irrespective that there was no other vehicle in the same price range. Customer service email address... returned unknown address Customer service...we will sort it out for you.... Left in limbo.... I used this lot after great service from auto bravo Chester... yep they are closing this branch too. Thanks for your money now go away

    Very disappointing customer service

    Very disappointing customer service. Inchcape replaced a window switch on my car under warranty, just before the vehicle was 3 years old. Just over 2 years later, the same part failed again. I asked the service advisor when I had the car in for a recall; she advised that if I had used Inchcape for servicing, they would be able to help out with the cost of a replacement part. However as I had not had the car serviced there, I would have to pay full price. The reason I stopped taking my car to that particular dealership for annual service is that the last time I did, they cancelled my booking but didn’t tell me until I arrived to drop the car off. So unless you give Inchcape money every year, they think it’s perfectly acceptable that the brand which they represent manufactures and supplies sub-standard parts. Definitely money rather than customer service focussed.
