Dont listen to sales man he lies!!!!

I had my boiler fitted 2 years ago and all been fine up until recently. It was only when my thermostat stopped working and telling the boiler what to do i realised what an error i had made. I had been informed by the sales man that warranty was 10 years, that it was interest free loan and service was included. I also had issue with leaking radiator which i was told would be fixed too. When they ring you to confirm details of installation and warranty etc listen carefully and walk away. It was a hard sell and i wish i had cancelled then. Overpriced and hard sell techniques used. Yes i should of walked away then and kick myself for not doing. PLEASE BE WARNED AND DONT TAKE THE SALES MAN AS SPEAKING THE TRUTH AS HE REALLY DOESNT!!!

In July 2022 I recieved a leaflet through the post where this company offered a boiler on a government backed scheme, when they came to discuss it, right at the end told me I’m not eligible for the government scheme and gave me a quote, as I needed the boiler (old one was condemned) I reluctantly agreed to pay, I wasn’t made aware that the agreement was an interest first agreement! Then when the engineer installed it I started having issues, we had very heavy rainfall and water was coming in through the flue and in flooding the boiler and kitchen, the same engineer came back out and β€œfixed” the issue only for it to happen again, we requested a different engineer to come and have a look, when they looked into it we found that the original guy had filled the gap with loose pieces of brick then a thin layer of cement, and the cement hadn’t dried before the rainfall, the new guy did a much better job of it, the inside of the kitchen wall was left in a bad state but at that point we just wanted nothing more to do with the company! I asked for compensation at the time and was refused as they felt the service provided was sufficient! Now 2 years later I discovered the amount I owe is WAY more than what the retail value of the boiler and labour and to avoid nearly Β£1500 in interest I would need to pay Β£4100 to clear the finance! AVOID at all costs, rip off merchants!

Gas fast have been amazing with work carried out I’ve used them last 2 years on 8 of my rental property’s in Leeds they have just completed my home too been to office today met all the lovely staff thanks again will be recommending to friends & family

1 Star is too generous - an absolute shambles!

Avoid Gas Fast at all costs. On 1st September we purchased the boiler upgrade which was to be installed on 3rd September by what we told were local tradesmen (South Wales). On 3rd September the engineers had arrived all the way from Yorkshire (hardly local). The job involved taking out an old back boiler and installing a new ideal boiler. The install took all day and they left at about 9pm. At this point we believed everything was satisfactory however the following day we noticed two leaks in the kitchen. Upon a second visit from an engineer we were told that there were a further two leaks by the boiler that we were not aware of. We believed that this was a one off incident and the end of the problem. Last week with the weather getting colder we put the heating on for the first time only to realise that the radiators were not working. Unfortunately I had to be persistent phoning numerous times for a third visit from an engineer a few days later. On this visit I was told that they would not be able to do the job as the radiators needed valves (7 in total). I telephoned the office to confirm when this further work would be carried out and told them we had 8 radiators so 7 valves needed and was told no we are ordering 6. I was told on the phone at this point that this would usually be at the expense of the customer but they would waive this however when purchasing the boiler the gentleman took lots of photos and told me that the price quoted was the price for the job and should any further costs be incurred that would be at the expense of Gas Fast! The fourth visit was supposed to be on the Friday but actually took place on the Saturday as the engineer needed his partner to complete the job as it was a two man job. When they came they fitted the valves however had to reopen the two holes in the wall where the back boiler was originally which we had by now redecorated with wall paper and an electric fireplace and surround because the pipe work was not correct. They could only get 6 out of the 8 radiators working and said it could be a balancing issue so to leave the gas on turning the other valves off to try and flush it through. We had paid extra for a flushing agent however it was felt that this was not actually used. I cannot fault the engineer who carried out our third and fourth visit as they were simply trying to rectify what I can call poor installation. We have tried to do what we have been told however we have two that do not work at all and two which are luke warm at most. I feel as if I constantly have to chase Gas Fast for a response and am simply told don't worry we will call you back. I was holding off leaving a review until the work is complete however the horror just keeps going. I feel that as they are having their money they do not care. We are currently awaiting a fifth visit to see if we can get heating. I would strongly advise you not to use this company at all costs. Update - after numerous calls to Gas Fast John attended the property himself to rectify the issues which I cannot fault his work.

Dan & Dean did an efficient install. kept me posted through the job and as of them leaving all is going well. As an old saying goes " Only time will tell" .. I just hope the aftercare is as good as the installation was.

Fabulous fast service

Fabulous fast service, from sales to fitting. The salesperson was flexible in considering some additional requests. So far, the engineers have been out quickly and have been really professional and friendly. Well done Gasfast; long may it continue! One star missing, just because of a silly little airlock blocking some radiators during the flush; which was dealt with very quickly!

Replacement CH boiler …

We had a replacement boiler supplied and fitted on 30th Aug. The job was carried out by two experienced fitters in a timely manner without any problems. Ten days later, our new boiler is working perfectly and there have been no problems of any sort. Gas Fast said that we would be delighted with the new installation. We certainly are.
