1 Star is too generous - an absolute shambles!

Avoid Gas Fast at all costs. On 1st September we purchased the boiler upgrade which was to be installed on 3rd September by what we told were local tradesmen (South Wales). On 3rd September the engineers had arrived all the way from Yorkshire (hardly local). The job involved taking out an old back boiler and installing a new ideal boiler. The install took all day and they left at about 9pm. At this point we believed everything was satisfactory however the following day we noticed two leaks in the kitchen. Upon a second visit from an engineer we were told that there were a further two leaks by the boiler that we were not aware of. We believed that this was a one off incident and the end of the problem. Last week with the weather getting colder we put the heating on for the first time only to realise that the radiators were not working. Unfortunately I had to be persistent phoning numerous times for a third visit from an engineer a few days later. On this visit I was told that they would not be able to do the job as the radiators needed valves (7 in total). I telephoned the office to confirm when this further work would be carried out and told them we had 8 radiators so 7 valves needed and was told no we are ordering 6. I was told on the phone at this point that this would usually be at the expense of the customer but they would waive this however when purchasing the boiler the gentleman took lots of photos and told me that the price quoted was the price for the job and should any further costs be incurred that would be at the expense of Gas Fast! The fourth visit was supposed to be on the Friday but actually took place on the Saturday as the engineer needed his partner to complete the job as it was a two man job. When they came they fitted the valves however had to reopen the two holes in the wall where the back boiler was originally which we had by now redecorated with wall paper and an electric fireplace and surround because the pipe work was not correct. They could only get 6 out of the 8 radiators working and said it could be a balancing issue so to leave the gas on turning the other valves off to try and flush it through. We had paid extra for a flushing agent however it was felt that this was not actually used. I cannot fault the engineer who carried out our third and fourth visit as they were simply trying to rectify what I can call poor installation. We have tried to do what we have been told however we have two that do not work at all and two which are luke warm at most. I feel as if I constantly have to chase Gas Fast for a response and am simply told don't worry we will call you back. I was holding off leaving a review until the work is complete however the horror just keeps going. I feel that as they are having their money they do not care. We are currently awaiting a fifth visit to see if we can get heating. I would strongly advise you not to use this company at all costs. Update - after numerous calls to Gas Fast John attended the property himself to rectify the issues which I cannot fault his work.
