Great products. Great team to support the business. Veggies and fruits are the best looking but they are so tasty. Also recipes shared are top.

Such a great idea, with very poor execution. I was so excited about finding this company, we ordered twice; first time was ok, second time terrible. Firstly, the food is NOT fresh. The produce in both orders were old and on the edge. The first box we received 2 cucumbers that maybe had a day left in them at absolute best, the mango was already off, and the bananas were brown. The 2nd box, the apples were rotten in the core and the capsicum was soft with mould inside, and the lemons were dry. Secondly, they offer recycled boxes. Great idea. However we received a box with mould - gross and unsafe. Thirdly, both times I paid extra for an ice block. It's, Queensland, we need ice. We have never received any cooling for our produce - neither time. Luckily both times someone was at home to bring the delivery in straight away. I love the idea, however this is not how I would like to spend my money. They have delivered old produce. I don't care if it's ugly, but I do care if it's old. Most of our stuff has gone to our worms.

Every box we have recieved has astounded our expectations. The boxes are fresher than the super markets, larger fruits & vegetables & even recieved herbs still with roots so we are able to re plant them to grow ourselves. I have basil, mint & rosemary plants blossoming all thanks to Funky Foods. The pineapples come with the heads so you are able to propegate and grow your own pineapple trees. The size of the tomatoes remind me of my adventures to Greece, having to hold 1 tomato in two hands. I am only disappointed in not purchasing these boxes sooner. With the price of food only going up in super markets, Funky food is an absolute God send! Feeding a family of 6 on only $60 a week for 18kgs of fruit and veggies! Not all hero's wear capes. Customer service is amazing and fast replying on their instagram account. We had an issue with our bank not releasing funds (due to a security hack not related to funky foods - optus) but customer service still allowed our delivery for that week to be delivered. Produce quality great. Ordered 10kg box. Delivered 9kg. Comparatively, it's cheaper to buy at our local supermarkets. Disappointing seeing as the whole marketing campaign is around a cheaper alternative based on food supermarkets won't accept. And short changed 10%..

I got my first box of funky food fruit and veggies. Good value. Delivered on time and everything was so tasty. Way tastier than supermarkets. I love on my own and get 1 box every 3 weeks. Wonderful service

Love the concept I got the funky light..I saved like $5, but it’s not really about the cost for me, it’s about convenience and quality. I’m mainly disappointed that my box was 75% fruit. The veggies I got would last for 1-2 meals for one person max if that…there was one huge lettuce in the box, but of the small amount of veggies I got they were all tiny and in small quantities. I thought I wouldn’t have to go to Coles for the next few days but unless I choose to live off fruit it looks like I’m back at the store anyway.

Received my first box today and I am so impressed. The variety and freshness is amazing. I ordered the small / lite fruit and vege and it is just what I need. I will continue with a box every fortnight. Highly recommend.

I am two deliveries in to my subscription and so far so good. Unless you tell them what you don't want, then you'll receive a lovely mixed box of goods. What we love is the fact that we are saving the unwanted. We are inspired to cook different things from the assortment. For example we received a giant daikon and fennel which we've never had before and surprised that we now love them shredded in a tuna salad. Because these are the imperfect bunch of fruit and vegetables, you may get bruising and tinges of wear on lettuce leaves, but has not compromised its flavour. We love the cost. We do a box a fortnight and we supplement it. Because it's based on what is available, you never know what you're going to get, which is why we wait to receive our box in order to know how to supplement. We are avid farmers market shoppers and noticed that recently they have gone more global with their products and decided to go with this format and give it a go. Waiting on box #3, this is one of the subscriptions where nothing we have received has gone to waste and delivery is prompt

The worst quality in fruits and delivery. do not pay if you value your money.

Was excited about the idea and looked forward to the box arriving. But frankly was disappointed when I opened the box. A couple of apples were rotten from the core, the oranges aren’t really fresh either. I thought the idea was ugly looking but fresher than major supermarket chain? But it wasn’t the case. Don’t think I will buy again.

If you haven't tried Funky Food, you're missing out on life. The tacos here are my kryptonite.

Food quality was good, however the service is unprofessional and not reliable. Three orders charged with the cost increasing each time on a subscription model. This is illegal and unethical. The third order did not arrive at all. When I reached out to ask why, there were only poor excuses given and I now have to go shopping for food anyway. I could understand if the initial discount was one order only, however this was not made clear. For the third order to increase in price again without explanation and not even be delivered does not give me any faith in the service. There are a few companies with similar models, I will try them instead.

Subscribed to Funkyfood from the beginning and loved it. Always looked forward to my deliveries so I could plan and make fresh meals for my family. That was until Funkyfood would cancel, postpone and even close my account, with reason, warning or explanation. Contacted them multiple times but I was simply ignored. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. I’d rather depend on the supermarket’s consistency and pay more. What a shame!!!

A few hiccups at the start but not their fault. Highly recommend, very accomodating to personal requests. Easy food delivery. Can’t ask for more than that.

Such a good service that I recommend anyone who loves cooking, to jump on! My partner and I share a small box fortnightly, which is always packed with an impressive and seasonally diverse selection of fruit and veg. While keeping up consistency with the basic pantry staples. It has cut our supermarket bill at least by half and beats having to dash to the shops every other day. Have always recieved the boxes on-time too. Such good quality for money, Highly recommend!

This is honestly amazing. The amount of fresh fruit and vegetables for the value of these boxes is fantastic not to mention the convenience of delivery. I do wish the boxes were a little more customisable however it’s not a deal breaker in this case! It is definitely going to incentivise me to eat healthier and cook more frequently!

Just got my first order delivered. To be very honest i have to look the box like 10 times because i couldn't believe how little the vegs and fruit in there. My order just half of in the picture they put on their website. Only 4 tomatoes, 6 potato, 1 big lettuce, small bunch of parsley, 4 onion, 1 small garlic, 5 banana, 3 oranges, 2 small lemon, 1 big capsicum, 4 apple. That not event enough for 1 people go though 3 day. Like a scams. Beware

We bought the $39 pack. Overall the freshness of the produce was okay, with most things being fine, but the potato’s seemed to be a bit old, with slightly saggy skin. My biggest complaint was the price, I did the calculation on my woolies app and this service turned out to be slightly more expensive, even without the delivery fee. And honestly I wouldn’t have chosen the most of the produce that they delivered. Because they are only deliver fruit and veggies I still have to go to the supermarket, so the convenience isn’t that significant. In my opinion a service like this must either be cheaper, much more convenient or deliver better products, however it didn’t achieve any of these. The food wasn’t funky, it was just a bit old!

I have had 2 deliveries now and i'm very impressed. Benefits to me are - delivered to my door, no need to go out and buy it myself. Automatically comes so i don't need to think about it. Much cheaper than i'd pay in the supermarket. Helps me stick to a healthier diet when it's all right there to be eaten. Very happy with what I've received in my boxes.
