FHE Health Reviews

The techs and nurses constantly on their personal cell phones. They are checking vitals every 2 hours when it was supposed to be every 4 hours in detox. Waking you up at 5:30 am and then screaming breakfast at 7:00 am. Clearly the Egyptian owner is cheap and not paying licensed professionals for treatment. I didn't go to one group but the one group I tried to give it a shot, the instructor (if that is what you call them, when they have probably been sober 2 months if that) doesn't show up. The food is horrible, i would rather go to a homeless soup kitchen than eat that garbage. They knock on your door every 15 minutes if you are not a smoker, then they ask me why I don't smoke or vape.? LOL, so the dietician asks me why my blood sugar is so low (56) and i told her the nurses were over medicating me for my diabetes and I have high BP. So she says ok we will give you a late sandwich so it will bring it back up. I was given the saltiest turkey sandwich, and they take my BP later that night , it was 160/115. Then they ask me if i just smoked a cigarette at 3am. I stayed for 5 days and AMA'd, and then the case manager tried to threaten me that I will die if I leave. I left the next morning. Terrible place

FHE response is untrue. I was a patient there. They state that they made :"several attempts to contact" . How could they contact me unless I was a patient there? They do not respond to issues having to do with roommates who stay up late, making lots of noise disturbing others who want to sleep at a normal time at night. Roommates often live like pigs. This is a photo of a bed where a roommate sat in her bed. Also shower curtains are too short. Bathroom floor floods. It took days to get the shower curtain replaced, only after repeated pestering. They put a schizophrenic, violent person in an apartment with me. Only after three days of my raising red flags and saying she scared me, was she sent to a psychiatric hospital. (She threatened to burn the place down). I felt very unsafe in a place where you are supposed to feel safe. The general atmosphere encourages cliques. If you do not smoke tobacco, be prepared for people vaping during group. And wherever you go you accosted by secondhand smoke. I had Dr. Charlotte Byrd Wilkins as my therapist. Awful. The woman is full of herself. One of the least compassionate mental health professionals I have ever met. She spent most of the sessions talking about how wonderful she is, how educated she is, about her family. Anything but the person in front of her. One session she spent yelling at me. I begged another therapist to take me on, to no avail. Because of Dr. Byrd Wilkins I left FHE more damaged than when I entered. The living quarters are filthy and rundown. The rules of group were not explained -another client there bullied me for having shared one of my vulnerabilities during group. This same client visited a friend of hers in my apartment, holding a lit cigarette. She was not held accountable by staff. My roommates played the race card with me when I complained about their excessive noise at 11:30 pm. After that I never felt safe or comfortable at FHE again. Lousy mental health treatment. I had to pester to get a shower curtain long enough to prevent the floor from getting soaked. One of my roommates was Baker Acted while she was at FHE

FHE is a team of professionals that got to know me and my unique needs. Their emphasis on aftercare made a difference for my stay, afterall, treatment may end but that doesn't.

My experience at FHE Health was genuinely positive. The team's attentiveness to my individual needs and the clean living conditions made me feel comfortable and supported during my stay. Their commitment to offering continued support after the program is reassuring. I would certainly recommend FHE Health for those seeking addiction recovery.

FHE Health provided me with a solid foundation for my recovery journey. The staff's dedication to personalized care and the improvements in living conditions made my experience better than I expected. Their commitment to aftercare support is evident, ensuring clients are well-equipped post-detox. I would recommend FHE Health to those seeking addiction recovery.

My daughter's journey at FHE Health speaks volumes about the center's dedication. They faced a myriad of challenges during their stay, but the staff's relentless support and accountability helped them overcome obstacles. Today, they celebrates his one-year anniversary of sobriety and better mental health, thanks to FHE Health. Their emphasis on support, even post-treatment, sets them apart. My daughter's gratitude and health are testaments to the life-changing impact of FHE Health.

Making my call for help was tough, i didn't know what would happen with my job or family, but i finally realized that I wouldn't have anything if i didn't seek help. As someone in law enforcement I worked with my union to get help and do not regret it. They have an excellent shatterproof program and they were true professionals. My experience not only empowered me but changed my life for the better. If you are on the fence make that call.

My time at FHE Health was truly an eye-opener. As a newcomer seeking help for the first time, I had my reservations. But FHE Health quickly proved me wrong. The staff's unwavering commitment to my well-being and their personalized approach to treatment left me feeling valued and heard. The improvements in the living conditions were a pleasant surprise, making the detox environment more comfortable and supportive. What touched me most was their upgraded aftercare support, demonstrating a genuine commitment to clients' long-term recovery. FHE Health has transformed my perspective on addiction recovery centers.

Therapists listened to my concerns. It was a sanctuary doing a very rough time in my life. The atmosphere was supportive and safe. Something that was very important for this time in my life. I recommend this place without hesitation. Excellent program for first responders and PTSD. Staff including Dr. Sachi are amazing.

They are the professionals! my experience here was nothing short of exceptional. I can't say enough good things about the BHTs and the therapists. Also the cooks and the cleaning staff were always so nice and had a smile on their face. Without question I would recommend FHE to anyone who needs mental health assistance.

I highlight recommend FHE Health. It's meant so much to me. It's not just been a lifeline, not just a detox center, but a restart on my life. My therapist took my concerns seriously and i was provided with a pathway to a better future. Of course they can't force you to take the path. But they gave me the environment and support to start down that journey. They provide better care than anywhere I know and that's why I recommend them.

This place is a beacon for hope for those seeking help. I went to FHE for depression and trauma i've been dealing with for most of my life. I was initially hesitant, but their dedication won me over. The compassion and expertise of the staff are truly impressive. They have so many experts on their campus as well as well run groups with other patients. I left FHE with a deeper understanding of my condition and the tools i needed to lead a healthier life.

I can't thank FHE Health enough for the positive changes they brought into my life. The dedication of the staff and their willingness to take feedback seriously truly impressed me. The improvements in living conditions and aftercare support make it clear that FHE Health is on the path to providing even better care. It's a detox center I wholeheartedly recommend and the follow-up of their alumni team is amazing as well. I've been to other places, but FHE is just better.

The team here went above and beyond-especially the bht team- to make sure my stay was working for me. I came in with several medical issues as well which were taken into account and they helped me see specialists for. You can tell they care and it's not just about a paycheck for them, there's something different about this place. I couldn't be more grateful for my experience. Give them a call if you or someone you know could use treatment

I stayed at F-H-E for over a month and it was just better. The alumni program is great, there are meetings on campus and in the end, i'm happy I choose FHE. If your insurance will cover all or some of it, i absolutely recommend giving them a call (they will be able to tell you). It's the best place I've been to and was a really important step for me in my journey. Thanks F-H-E team!

FHE Health is more than a rehab, its a place for transformation. I had some reservations at first, but they were dispelled quickly. I have been through an inpatient stay more than once and they keep changing things. The therapists listen to you and put together a program track that makes sense for you. They're dedicated to their patients and i hole heartedly recommend FHE for addiction treatment. Also - there are also mental health patients here, sometimes you do end up in the same groups, which I know some people may not like, but it doesn't feel like a staffing thing, sometimes it just makes sense for us to discuss the same problems.

My stay at FHE health was life altering. They deliver quality care that met me where i was. The team and staff members were caring, compassionate and kept the place very clean. It is a healing environment where you can lean what you need to live a more full life. I left FHE with a deeper understanding of my condition and the toolset i needed to lead a healthier life. I continue my work with the alumni team and will continue to!

Called and emailed like they said in the rebuttal they gave to my review....and they put me on hold several times and have not answered my email. This place is rapidly going downhill. Do not go here. There are other programs for first responders.

Admissions was pushy and made it seem like they were calling to "check in". I was given a false sense of what the program provides. Massage!! 5 minutes of a seated back massage in a dark group room. They refused to provide the appropriate medications and supplements and told me numerous times that I would have to talk to the doctor. No doctor available. The intake was humiliating. A skin check and urine test done in an open bathroom that was visible to people in the intake room. My room had a camera. Nobody told me that. I came out of the bathroom to get dressed, so who knows who saw my nude body. Living conditions in an old, dark hotel-under lock down. I was highly disappointed and left after 3 days.

DEFINITELY call FHE- Their team is AMAZING - especially their neuro team. Such an amazing technology! I have close experience with how well their PTSD treatment and sleep issue treatment has worked. It's a night and day difference. The group therapy sessions were also helpful in connecting with others and learning how important support groups are. I'd say to definitely make sure you're clear on insurance and payment - I never felt pressured, but billing can be complicated - they were very helpful in explaining what I needed to pay and what I should expect insurance to cover.
