    Absolutely smashing

Absolutely smashing! I received an out of the blue call when I first moved to the Lincolnshire area from a very pleasant young man who spoke with me kindly and enthusiastically about my house and even the areas for me to get used to and acclimated, it made me feel so safe. We agreed that they'd call me back in about a month and I was delighted to speak to them again and let them know of my home improvement plans. I get nervous on the phone but they made me feel so at ease, exceptional conversation and quickly they arranged someone to come out to survey my windows and a door as I can't have a conservatory in my apartment. I've since had a bay window fitted and a beautiful door to my open plan, plans. I will definitely continue to be using their services as I expand my home into the vision I'm creating and could not recommend them enough for checking in on you.

I recently had my French doors fitted…

I recently had my French doors fitted this week, they look great and have been installed very well, however after the gentleman left I realised all my sockets in my living room are not working ultimately leaving me with no television and internet. He also plastered but left the wire to my socket hanging out the wall rather than plastering it back in. I rang the office to see if they could send some one for a resolution and got told it was the electrician that had moved my sockets fault for all of that, but it's been working fine for two months since the electrician's been and after the eyg bloke came it now doesn't, which I do not find a coincidence. I found the response, "sorry not our problem, bye" absolutely disgusting and will be taking the matter into the hands of trading standards as leaving an exposed wire in plastered when my one year old nephew comes every weekend is just outrageous. I do need more work doing on my house which eyg could of provided but I certainly will not be using them again. Ms S Hill

under no circumstances shop with this shower of a company

Can't quite believe this company are STILL hounding me. Over 18 months after buying a whole house worth of doors and windows, I am still being harangued and plagued by them with phone calls. Staggered to get another call from them today - espcially after someone from customer care (!! WHAT a joke) responded to my review on another review site, saying they had removed me. NO they haven't. Nothing about this idiotic company makes sense - all over you to sign up and then terrible on so many levels thereafter and don't seem to care about the bad press they get. I tell anyone who will listen not to shop with them. I will probably have to change my phone number to be rid of them in my life which I obviously don't want to do.

    Window fitters had attitude problems

Re your reply, your surveyor should have picked the problem with the cracked rendering at the time, our house survey has nothing to do with EYG Obviously you do not trust the words of a client, but listen to your fitters? I suggest you have a look at your rating on Trustpilot and hopefully improve on your services

What a joke of a company

What a joke of a company we had a man come out To give us a quote and it was a good deal at the time, so we went with them. we were told that we would get a surveyor to give us a call and to book an appointment within the week, but that week went on and no phone call, I phoned up Eyg again And was told them that I still not had the phone call from the surveyor, they then tried to call the surveyor and will get them to call me The next day. no call from the surveyor the next two days , so I called up EYG again and they didn’t understand why the surveyor hasn’t got in contact with me so they were phoning them up whilst I was on the phone to transfer me to him but the surveyor was unavailable, next week still no contact I phoned up the company Which then transferred me to the surveyor who i then spoke to you on the phone who had no idea about me and when I said that I was only available on certain days and at certain times he said I can do it today, Which I replied I am out after 12 today he said I’ve got a client in the morning so I can’t come are you available the next day? which I replied no I work and I am I only available on a Wednesday or Thursday next week, which he replied I’m on holiday for the next two weeks this is after he had already been on holiday, so I phoned up the company again to complain which then they put another surveyor into contact with me which a week later no contact from the surveyor, I phoned up the company and told them I would like to cancel and I would not want to go ahead with this, with that in mind I spoke to the Head manager at the company which cancelled my order and that was the end, a few hours later I had a phone call from said surveyor which I said I had already cancelled the order and wish not to go ahead I said I also told this to the manager but the surveyor said he had not had any contact from them, a few seconds later after getting off the phone I had a phone call from the branch manager who had no idea I cancelled my order at the head managers office, the branch Manager mentioned I had to give in writing my cancellation via a letter but after reviewing my contract I cancelled it through email a few months later I had emails suggesting I should write a review about the work that the company have done. I tried to write a review but had no success so I left it, 4 months down the line I get a phone call asking if I liked the work which the company had done, even though i have had no work done at my house, I have explained this to the company multiple times but they still don’t listen. I would never use this company ever again as they can not communicate with surveyors which the Company relies on to carry out the job, which is a bit stupid. I also think this company needs to stop to exist.

    Pressure Selling

Didn't get a quote because they were desperate for my partner to be there when they came, although its my house and we had agreed what we wanted. Originally claimed it was a safety issue , then a later time they called they said it was to avoid re-visits. My assumption is its because they will try to pressure you to sign up on the visit . When I said that was very unlikely he more or less gave up. I was quoted by another local company who have left me alone for two months . Chances are they will get my business around October.

    Use at your peril

Having previously had French doors and a door changed to a window, I had no hesitation using them again for fascia boards etc. What a mistake. Failed to show up on the date promised only informing me at 11am that "the team were off the road" and then put the installation back 7 weeks with no alternatives. I had scaffolding that I had paid for around my house and EYG promised to resolve compensation at the end of the job in mid September 2018. They conveniently forgot about this commitment and the person who promised to resolve this had left the company. Every excuse possible has been used to avoid providing a reasonable level of compensation and they are now pursuing me through the county court. The office staff and Directors are totally inept and have an arrogant attitude, which is a shame because the fitters are generally pleasant and do a good job..

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Where do I start..... Unfortunately bumped into their salesperson at a garden centre and allowed a rep to visit. He was very personable and that's where the good things ended. Booked in October and paid £1k deposit for solid roof conservatory. Planning permission sought and granted 3 months later. Told EYG no rush as we did not want to start until the spring. Date at end of March given & arrived to start, only they could not as the foundations were not suitable. Had to be piled. Tried to charge us £5k for this but told them their mistake as they had not consulted building control, tried to blame this on us! Agreed eventually on extra £1k but had to wait 2 more weeks. Piling done, basework completed - nice workers. Then told 6 weeks to wait for glass to be made (twice as long as we had been told) and arrived in the middle of the terrible weather & floods this week. We both agreed it was a no go and that the office would be in touch that day - no call received. Finally called 2 days later to say another 6 weeks. To say we were not happy was understatement. After a further call to managers had it reduced to 3 weeks. Now had to cancel birthday celebrations with 50 guests as it will not be ready. Office staff incredibly rude and arrogant but workers pleasant. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS THE MONEY. THEIR RUDENESS IS INCREDIBLE.

    Quality product!

Had windows and doors fitted in March. The salesman was brilliant, and the quality of the product is undeniable. The fitters were also wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. However, the aftercare was appalling. The window glass fitment for the bathroom window didn't turn up, and one of the front windows broke. These things happen, but it took nearly two months, and countless phone calls for this to be rectified. Every time we called we had to yet again explain what the problem was, as the so called manager of that department couldn't even remember having spoken to me. If you get your aftercare sorted then I wouldn't hesitate to give five stars! Such a shame.

    Great Products, Poor Service

I had windows fitted and the quality of the product is great, the downside was the fitters travelling from 10 minutes away and being 40 minutes late. I purchased the Conservatory (again the main product is great) and Windows on the buy now pay later scheme, it was explained that the 12 months to pay later would start when all the work had been done THIS IS NOT THE CASE, the contract started after the windows had been fitted which was 4 months before the conservatory. There was an ongoing water leak in the conservatory which was said to be for me to fix, I paid to replace a pipe only to find out it was the pipe EYG hadn't capped off properly, due to the severity of the leak the water was off for 5 days before they came to fix it! And I'm left to sort the damp on the walls. Having emailed numerous times and also phoned I've had nothing back from EYG. As a result I cancelled the soffits and fascias fitting but they failed to inform the fitters and turned up anyway then had the cheek to phone the next day to ask if I was happy with the fitting! And I've had a few calls asking if I want windows, doors or a conservatory. Overall a very disappointing experience.

EYG Windows- Decent(ish) windows, poor after service.

Bought a house in Flamborough, and spent many thousands with EYG, in replacing all the windows, doors, patio doors, and extra windows added. The most recent fitting from EYG, a patio door to our kitchen which was around 14 months ago, leaks! Not all the time but when it does, boy it's like a tap as been left on. Phoned them up about this, because after all it's "GUARANTEED ". The response was, well it was rather wet and windy.... it's not my department, do you know where it's coming in, and then finally, I will get someone to ring you back, to sort it out. " Today "I said , "oh yes in the next hour or so" they said.............. well a month later..STILL WAITING! I have been out with a bucket of mortar and had ago myself... seems to be ok, but who knows, I'm not a builder. It's ashame, but if you buy something with a guarantee, you kind of hope a company like EYG, might just honour it! Still, looks like the replacement soffits and garage door will be going elsewhere.
