No show by Emerald cruises representative at Basel airport. We were left to our own devices.

A late weeks booking to river cruise. It was our first river cruise and the team looked after us so well. The food was excellent and trips of a good quality. That and sunshine made a beautiful week

The Douro cruise was so relaxing,all the ships crew were absolutely superb,everyone was totally customer focused and the food was superb as were the Portuguese wines.

Well organised and friendly staff

Excellent trip in every respect.

Loved the Douro river cruise, great ship and facilities. Met some really interesting other travellers too. Wide range of excursions to choose from and a great cabin with a lovely balcony to take in the views.

Food was great staff were very polite and helpful. The only thing I found wrong was everybody rushed to eat at the same time.

Recently completed our 5th river cruise, 4 of which have been with Emerald and we would not consider going with any other company. The boats are luxurious, the crew so friendly, polite and helpful and the food is wonderful. The on- shore activities and tours are first class and interesting with local guides who are justifiably proud of their country/towns. All excellent!

We had taken two different river cruises on the Danube in 2016 and 2017 and were very impressed, planning one day to go with tghem again. This we did in August 2024 along the Rhine and the Mosel. We were not disappointed. Emerald may not be the cheapest but there are no hidden extras and from arrival on board to departure we were so well taken care of.

The accommodation, on board food and great company made our trip great, although the cities that we visited were wonderful too. The guides and facilities were excellent, particularly the pool and electric bikes. Our only negatives were the constant reminders of leaving (which began on Wednesday, even though we had until Sunday), our luggage being left in the sun all day on departure day, and the long wait at the airport, due to the transfer being far too early.

Excellent cruise, quality service, nothing too much trouble for ALL crew. Food excellent.

On board ship staff were delightful, unfortunately the same can't be said about the offshore/ground staff that are supposed to organise things before your cruise, that side of things leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately I had the same issues on Scenic Cruise's in the past so seems like it's a uniform problem throughout the Group. truly fabulous ships just a shame as these bad experiences stick with you.

Excellent trip - lovely ship. Great customer service when our outbound flight was cancelled by the airline. We were offered a choice of flights which would enable us to get to the ship in time. We opted for travelling the day before cruise was to start and Emerald even arranged hotel accommodation and breakfast for us at the airport hotel.

Everything about the cruise was top class, couldn’t fault it

First class service by all staff, food was amazing as were the wines, we used E bikes twice which was an added bonus
