I wrote this review back in June 2022, then again in July 2022 it was… I wrote this review back in June it was removed by trustpilot, unsure why as it was a genuine review I eventually got the money back, but what an awful traumatic experience... beware!!! do not buy, shop local Not Only did the below happen, their sales person Gila, a very angry South African abused me on my own doorstep, video evidence of this available, she also damaged my door trying to block me from shutting my own door when I was on a business call…. What kind of company is this… they then have had the bike back for weeks and still no refund This really is the worst company ever, what is worse is trustpilot removing genuine unsatisfied customer reviews, shame on you!! WARNING DO NOT USE, pay more for a high street purchase . Absolutely shocking service and after… Absolutely shocking service and after care from this company it really is non existent My bike was delivered to the wrong address, At the time I didn’t know this as they said it had not even left the warehouse A week later still nothing to he told it had been delivered but they never bothered to inform me, on investigations it was at a different house on the lane completely Then there was no bolt for the seat so still couldn’t be used I tried for several days to get a bolt and could. And in the end I had to get a new seat and pole as it was now 2 weeks without a bike that I should of had one. This was all my time and effort not theirs The next thing the cabin keep slipping and coming off making the bike jolt and threw me off and I injured my ankle from the burn of the tyre that’s still moving, told me to take it into the repair shop and they’d pay, so I took it to rockets and rascals but on route the pedals keep slipping like the motors speeding up then slipping, rockets and rascals said it’s defective and to return it as it’s so now and hardly been used I want to do this for a refund or new bike and they say they will only refund when they find the faults, this is fine but I’m already without a bike I need to get around, I’m on a tight time frame and. by looking at the rest of the reviews I’ll be waiting forever to get this sorted as I need a replacement bike not to wait around, hardly a great review for your non existent service! So do not buy from this company their customers service is very poor and any issues will be up to you to resolve so lots of time and money on your part as time costs money when your have to take time out of your day to get things sorted…. Then what they offer you is unreasonable…. I wish to return for a full refund and payment returned asap so I can buy a bike that’s roadworthy and safe Pay more buy local, oh and as I have a second electric bike I use in Cornwall I know how one should feel and ride, so please don’t patronise me again saying that’s this is just how they are when I spoke to your phone support and would get someone to call me back a week ago and never did I’ve had to email in again and getting poor responses 🤨 Sort your service out I’m within my 28days to replace as I couldn’t use this bike till 2 weeks post ordering you do the math

Company In Administration

Had to go through my bank for a refund. The company has gone into administration but are still taking orders that they won't fulfill. I contacted one bike manufacturer that ER stock and they were great, informing me of the situation, even providing me with the details of the administrators. ER owe the manufacturer money too. If you have already ordered don't waste your time contacting ER there's no one there.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They are a scam and will take your money, not deliver and when you try phoning them it goes to a voicemail!! Will be suing them for a refund, plus court costs plus Interest at 8% per annum for all days they have had our money. Don’t waste your time with them! #3058ER

E-Bike completely unusable within 4 weeks. Cannot get a response.

I bought a Basis Osprey folding bike from Electric Rider and it is now completely unusable within 4 weeks of use. First, the motor started cutting out whilst I was using it (sometimes whilst I was cycling on the road with cars around me, which was incredibly unsafe) Next, the battery life was reduced to less than a quarter of what it had been initially and the bike struggled to get up hills, even when fully charged. Now the motor has died completely. Even when the battery is displaying as fully charged, there is no motor assist at all. I have sent multiple emails and have not received any response. Even before the bike began to break, I was already pretty unimpressed with the quality. There is a considerable delay between when you start to pedal and when the motor assists kicks in. When it does kick in, it is so abrupt that you could easily fall off the back of the bike if you're not braced for the sudden acceleration. Although the bike has 6 gears, they are all so low that they are unusable (I only ever used the 6th gear). When the bike is folded, there is no way to fasten it in place and there is nothing to lift it from. It took two of us to lift the bike in an out of the boot and we had to use several straps to fasten it closed. It took ages to figure out how to fold and unfold the bike because the instruction leaflet is in broken English and the quality of the printout is so bad that you can barely see what's being shown in the photos. I was willing to accept the quality issues above because it is a relatively cheap bike (although the quality is still much cheaper than the price suggests) but now that it is completely unusable I am only interested in getting my money back for this useless product. Please can someone from Electric Rider respond to me with information on how I can get a refund for this faulty product?

Our online query about our purchasing options for a few eMopeds was answered straightaway. The ordering itself was very easy and delivery was very quick. Have purchased from Electric Rider before and have found their customer services very helpful in the past.

Not one for writing reviews but i feel…

Not one for writing reviews but i feel in my case i have no option,this is long winded so please bear with me... I purchased a Electric moped in late March and within a few days of the order circumstances changed so i canceled the order ,both online via email and then by phone ..Was told a refund could take up to 21 days i then was told it would go direct to my bank account i then informed them that i paid via credit (Newpay) so refund would have to go direct to the..This is were the fun started in between all this Electricrider took Newpay of their platform and decided to stop working with them..I was then told by Electricrider (Alexandar Bell) that i would have to go direct to Newpay for the refund..I then contacted Newpay who said the only way to get the refund back was to do a chargeback,i then contacted Electricrider to inform them this is what i was adviced to do ,they also told me at the time that Electricrider were not responding to there messages..Eledtricrider again informed that because they took Newpay off their platform they were having difficulties in paying my refund so please bear with them ,ok so i move on in between all this i had to send all the documents off to Mastercard and the fraud and dispute team who then did the chargeback and that went in to my Newpay account ,then i eventualy get a refund from Electricrider that was paid direct in to my personal account and i didn't realise this until i checked my account days later then i contacted the Newpay fraud and dispute team to inform them of this they so basically i had received 2 refunds ,all this was no fault of my own ,basically Electricrider taking Newpay of their platform and no longer working with them caused all this ..So i move on again i then had to ask Newpay to pay me the refund they got from chargeback as Electricrider sent me a threating demanding letter for the money giving me 14 days to get the money off Newpay and pay it to my personal account and then pay Electricrider direct to their account ,Newpay fraud and dispute team are aware what i have had to do and told me that Electricrider have gone about the refund the wrong way ,anyway on the 9th May 2022 i got the refund sent back to their account (all done at the bank with full receipt and information on why the transaction was being done ,i also had email proof that the money was recieved on their side ) Ok Everything sorted at last after all the stress and worry ,guess what yesterday 13th June 2022 i got a call from Newpay fraud and disputes team asking me for all my proof of payments emails etc as for some reason on the 24th May 2 weeks after the payment they challenged the chargeback talk about left hand not knowing what the right is doing as all the proof is their that they recieved payment ,should i really have to go through all this when i wanted was a simple refund ....I contacted Electricrider both by phone and email regarding this yesterday ,mainly to let them know that there appears to be some mistake on their part and to give them the chance to look in to it ,was told i would get a call back,nothing and no response to email to date..Come on Alexandar Bell this as been stressful enough without this other cock up ,as said i don't particularity like posting back feedback but your letter demanding the money and basically threatening me with legal action and saying i was potentially committing fraud was very stressful and not true as the circumstances lay at your door when you took Newpay off your platform .I worked with you on this from day one and kept in full contact ,would have been nice if you did the same ..

Purchase through Electric Rider!

Service from electric rider overall was…very competent- just missed a bullseye

Service from electric rider overall was good- there were questions that could have been asked at the time of purchase that would have helped me and sold me the complete package with accessories- missed opportunity by e rider, I just got things elsewhere- so I can’t give 100% - Was also told my bike was being built? Then why did it turn up with flat tyres - so no major fail but could have done more- The bike overall is good it’s looks ok to me, I’ve risen it and I’m surprised how competent it is , probably a bit undergeared but it is a town/commute bike, so more than competent in its field - next I need to try a long journey But I now feel confident it will handle it !

Ideal bike for a short commute!

Placed an order with Sam at Electric Rider for a E-Rider Model 18, he couldn't have been more helpful. I used the Newpay Finance and once this was sorted the order was processed quickly and efficiently. The bike turned up within a couple of weeks and I've been using it ever since. It's not the speediest, but is perfect for getting me to and from the train station for my commute. The built in alarm gives me the peace of mind to leave it there and the storage is really good for my helmet - you don't have to wear one for this model but I do as I'm still riding what looks like a scooter at first glance on the road. Only comment as a FYI for potential purchasers, is I had to get a open faced helmet to fit in the back box, a full face one is too big for the storage box. Thanks team, really happy with my bike!

Ordering the bike was very easy and…

Ordering the bike was very easy and affordable, did finance which was easy also. Delivery was delayed but delivery did take place as stated it took a couple of emails to get things confirmed which didn't help plan time off. Got delivery, bike was not fully assembled as described eg the back box and mirrors had to be put on the bike. No manual for the bike and I didn't know some of the features. No reg plate was on the bike and due to time it was registered late. I therefore had a bike for 2 to 3 weeks unregistered and no number plate I then also had to organise a number plate and fitting Contacting the company is only ever via email which can be 24 to 48 hrs. When they did reply I was satisfied with the responses but to actually speak to someone could have cut out a few emails back and forth. I have since been riding the bike, its easy to use. The speedometer is only in km and not miles per hour which is annoying with no way to change it All on all I love riding the bike, but I am dubious when I need to get after sales whether I'm going to be stranded on the road side etc

Poor but..

Would give 1 star but a I gave a star for the customer service which was good, order never arrived neither did the replacement, ended up asking for the refund, guess it wasn't their fault but from cyclotricity themselves and the dodgy couriers

So helpful

So helpful - purchased a bike through the cycle to work scheme and Sam especially was really helpful. Got the right bike and walked through the process which was great because it is a bit of toing and froing but we got there and the bike arrived smartish once all things were sorted. Many Thanks

Would not recommend.

Editing as promised, I have given constructive feedback previously hoping for resolution but the customer care is basic with the companies involved. These are systemic issues that could be resolved if you take on board and listen to your customers in order to offer true value. Summary of experience below: Ordered over phone and was advised 7-10days delivery. Took 4 weeks. No manual provided, online version minimal and of no use to a novice rider. Arrives without Reg, this comes separate and you will need to order and attach your own plate. Again not clear on website. Customer care over the phone only triage the call and get someone to call back. No one has called me back when requested. Bike arrived without mirrors and left grip. These were sent 4 days after having to email about this issue. Sadly the wrong sized mirrors have been sent. Contemplated returning but this is done at cost to consumers (I assume it's refunded) seemed more effort than it was worth to risk being more out of pocket. This experience is tiring and I'm now sorting the mirror issue myself. Brake fluid over filled on arrival, tech support offered if I could send a video, I'm at the stage where if rather just figure it out myself. There are a number of systemic issues that need addressing with how your supplier and distribution works. All in all a miserable experience I wouldn't wish upon anyone.
