Shirley on the EF Peru Tour was phenomenal. She was outgoing and her love for her country was evident from the start. She set the tone upon meeting us at the airport in Lima and it continued through... See more

This was a fantastic trip, all around. I have taken several groups of students on EF trips to diverse places beyond Europe, and this was definitely one of the best trips. The tour directors were eac... See more

Our student tour to Europe (10 days) went very well. There were plenty of opportunities to receive advice and support prior to departure. The training tour for first-time group leaders was invaluable. On tour, our Tour Director was excellent, knowledgable, and responsive/flexible to our groups needs. Accommodations met all expectations and the scheduling of transportation, hotels, meals, etc. was excellent. There would have been no way to experience as much as our group did without the expertise and professionalism we encountered with EF tours. (London, Paris, Lucerne, Vaduz, Munich)
My 17 yo daughter was sexualized by the tour guide Matthew. He not only made inappropriate remarks about her and her friends he made a comment about how she should come to dinner in her bikini. This 40-50 yo man should never be allowed to work around children. He made inappropriate comments to the chaperone. He did not care about the kids not feeling safe being turned loose in a new city to do a scavenger hunt.
There was more time spent in hotels, airports, buses and boats than actually doing excursions. The hotels were not in the best parts of town and the amenities were subpar considering the price of the trip. Definitely geared towards kids and not for the adult chaperones.
Mi hija disfrutó mucho de la experiencia. Tomó muchas fotos y quedó muy satisfecha y contenta.
Francesca was a knowledgeable and wonderful tour guide!
My son had an amazing experience visiting all the historical sites and the guides did a good explaining the history of each historical site.
Having the Tour guides was very educational. The dinners served nightly we blah and basically the same every evening. The last evening was the best as we were given 1 of 3 options.
Excellent customer service!
Linda Moon was fabulous. So knowledgeable, personalized tours to favorite things, she goes above and beyond to create a great experience. Communication was professional, accurate and never failed.
Our grandson (Derik) had a FABULOUS experience, and we couldn't be more pleased. With the help of Genevieve Anderson, all of the paperwork and homework to Derik ready was easy. Derik's experiences with his traveling crew and others he met in Europe, he's still beaming. We're looking forward to his trip next year, and are grateful for the program and for Genevieve.
My son went to Australia/Cook Islands/NZ with Rikki Keiser and Ms Jules. He loved all the activities and found Jules to be a wondering tour guide.
Natalia was amazing! Loved every moment - loved the mixture of both history and culture in the activities.
1. Lack of freedom-- We had very little time to experience the countries on our own. I would have liked to have had more opportunities to shop and explore the areas with my daughter. 2. Too big of a group-- I felt out of my comfort zone having to do every activity with groups outside of my town. If there was more free time away from the group as a whole, I may have better tolerated traveling with strangers. 3. Malo-- Malo was difficult to understand, and his voice did not carry. Even with the headset in Panama City and the Arenal area, those of us toward the back could not hear/understand what he was saying about the different sites leaving us clueless as to what we were observing. On the bus Malo would start educating about sites we were passing but would drift off the microphone as if he was only taking to those sitting in the front of the bus. Those of us in the back of the bus would only get bits and pieces of his conversations. Additionally, his 'talks' seemed very spontaneous and with little thought/preparation for what he was educating us on. 4. Accommodations-- I feel the large amount of time spent on the bus could have been reduced by better planning of accommodations. There were hotels closer to the Fortuna/Hot Springs area that we passed several times that would have been closer and more ideal to allow earlier bedtimes, opportunities to get more sleep, and reduce travel time. The impression is that the company prioritizes traveling in large groups with subpar accommodations rather than prioritizing the comfort of their travelers. My husband and I traveled to Costa Rica 17 years ago. We stayed in one resort and were able to hike, go horseback riding, go on a zip line tour, go white water rafting, and spend a day on the beach. I would have preferred to have activities closer together as I felt a large portion of my vacation was on a bus. 5. Privacy-- I don't like that, unless I wanted to pay more $$, I had to room with someone I wasn't familiar with. Furthermore, my daughter almost had to room with a stranger from another state. As we are already paying a significant amount of money for the trip, I don't care for the extra $$ required if a parent prefers to room with their child.
EF Tours gave my son the opportunity of a lifetime. Never in our lives did we imagine we could send him to a country as incredible and prestigious as Japan. The two-year payment plan made this dream attainable for our family, and for that alone, I am truly thankful. The trip was exceptionally well organized—so much so that he was able to explore a variety of beautiful cities and historic landmarks, something we would have never been able to do on our own. According to my son, the tour guide was phenomenal—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. It’s amazing to know he had someone by his side who could not only show him these incredible places but also educate him on their rich history and cultural significance. I am beyond grateful to EF Tours for making experiences like this accessible to students. This is something my son will carry with him for the rest of his life.
EFT made it easy for my daughter to travel abroad for the first time. Clear deadlines, reminders and timelines. She loved the tour guide and bus driver. Highly recommend!
Hi there, my name is Rebecca.. My family and I (15 year old daughter, 77 year old father, and myself, 46) just came home from tour number 262139OTK. We had traveled with my daughter’s school, had two teacher chaperones and two tour guides from EF tours. I want it to be known that we had a horrible experience with this tour!! Anything from bedbugs in one of the hotels, to being left in the middle of London with no ride, to being cursed at by one of the EF tour guides. (And yes, I have proof, of all of these issues) Our small group left us at the Tower of London.. When I texted and called our leaders to find out where to go to meet everyone, they sent a pin to a food court.. the bus was not there.. When I called, she said they had moved the bus and sent a new pin.. she then told me that the bus was leaving, and we could either take an Uber and meet them at the London Eye, or take an Uber to the hotel.. that Uber ride cost us almost $200 US Dollars!!.. by the way, as we got closer to the main road, where the new pin lead us, our bus literally pulled away from the curb and drove passed us!.. That for one, is considered a liability for your insurance, because had one of us gotten hurt, or in a car accident in our Uber (that would have fallen all on your shoulders as a company).. Then being cursed at by an EF Tour guide, as we were going through the security at the station for The Eurostar, my dad and I were both randomly picked to be searched.. When we cleared the security, the EF Tour guide yelled “run Becky!”.. I said I couldn’t run.. she then yelled (in front of my daughter) “for F*#% sake Becky, hurry up!”.. I then informed her that 2 years ago, we were in a car accident, and broke my back.. I medically can not run.. She said she was sorry, then sent a group message apologizing for the way that she spoke, and continued to apologize for the next 4 days!.. I have sent a few emails to supervisors (because that’s the only way to report issues I guess)… I’ve gotten one quite robotic response, and then dead silence.. I highly recommend that people do NOT use EF Tours.. because it’s not worth the hassle, the money, or lack of response or empathy on their part!!
They were on top of everything and there service was super helpful.
the trip was well enjoyed by the children no hitches
From start to finish, from planning to completing the tour and coming home, every detail was meticulously handled. The requests of my group were heard and accommodated whenever possible, and we had the most amazing trip! Just enough shopping, down time, history, culture, food, fun, and memories made. It was perfect.
