The Exchange is a great tool

The Exchange is a great tool. To be honest, it has declined a little over the years in my opinion, but it is still a fantastic asset to any courier or haulage business. It helps us cover work when we are stuck and obtain re-loads for our own returning vehicles.

I have to say when I 1st started using…

I have to say when I 1st started using the exchange a few months back now It was going good but as time has gone on the prices I am quoting on jobs has gone down and down, 95p per mile in a transit luton and tail lift, its very depressing sitting in laybys for hours and quoting low prices and still not getting work, the shippers who put the jobs on the exchange are the ones in the driving seat playing drivers of other drivers to get the lowest price possible regardless if you have worked for them before and done a good job, I don't think I will renew my subscription and I would seriously think twice before joining

Been on CX for 6 months now

Been on CX for 6 months now, must say is very busy. Lots of drivers looking for work. But we all have the same experience. I get a reasonable amount of work and have made some good contacts. Can be really useful for lowering your empty miles. Give it a try

required refund after 2 weeks. They ignored me totally and still not received my money back

Be carefully guys when buy this . Think twice before pay the money. I have buy and pay 724£ and now after 2 weeks using trying to get my money back. On the start they will have time with you for anything, email reply by 2-5 min back calls speak with you how much time you need . All this goes until you pay the money . Then you are on your own. email reply by 2-3 days. Or sometimes never get a answer back. I m trying now over a week to get refund. I email the guy put me on with CX this William Young now is I week since I sent the email and he still not say anything back. This platform is for big companies and people who already have routes to go and fit with the loads they got on platform. Over 2 week I quoted many loads almost all what was showing up . Nothing back . I start with price from 1£ per load mile and then go down until 50p per mile load ... nothing. 402miles Glasgow- London I quote as a try tell them price of 200£ just to see if I can get it but no . Nothing receive. So guys if think to go with this think twice.

Heavily Saturated Platform - be VERY aware !

At best if you are established and have lots of good customers you would be silly not have this tool in your Logistics work belt. HOWEVER be prepared that an extremely high percentage of the work is being sold at backload rates. Please don’t fall for their marketing of making you think you can use the CX as a sole use of income. The whole platform is now over saturated with owner drivers bidding ridiculous amounts just to get the job. At the end of the day the CX are making a lot MORE money since social media platforms such as YouTube ‘celebrities’ seem to be selling it so well. It’s false and quite simply not fair as they demand a lot up front and then leave you with Shippers ridiculous payment terms and down right unprofessional terms of business . Let’s paint a picture - you do your first job, your new to it all. It goes wrong, you can’t find the place or you hit traffic or you breakdown etc etc etc.. Now the shipper will leave you negative feedback and you’ll probably never get another job as you have this tattooed to your name. I’ve been running on the CX for some time - luckily I have a lot of my own customers. I haven’t won any work on the platform since December last year as I quite simply refuse to quote lower than 35p a mile running a LWB. Yes you heard that correct. ****THIS PLATFORM IS HEAVILY SATURATED**** Be VERY aware and realistic before taking the plunge into the courier game.
