The Exchange is a great tool

The Exchange is a great tool. To be honest, it has declined a little over the years in my opinion, but it is still a fantastic asset to any courier or haulage business. It helps us cover work when we are stuck and obtain re-loads for our own returning vehicles.

If ur new Expect to do free job upto £2000 every year

Companies go bankrupt here every week and Cx don’t do much. They may disagree siting the T&C but we poor drivers loose the money. I’m driving in Cx , this is my 7 th year. Every year I loose average £1000 and recent years it has doubled. They still leave these companies to sell jobs and scam another 100 people before they are chucked out. Unless Cx do something on this it’s always 0 star EDIT : so I raised a payment dispute against a company one of the many overdue payments,but was swiftly dismissed by CX stating I didnt leave any comments . What! Didnt I do the job : Yes Didnt they received the invoice : Yes Did they pay me : no But still cx thinks burden of proof is on me but wont do anything to get me paid but will dismisss my complaints. This is CX Note : The company I mentioned is Smart pay enabled Drivers run the system. Unless you help them to get paid without any hassle they will leave. new ones cannot replace tireless drivers who do 80k, 90k miles an year. If things stay same I'll be leaving soon. EDIT 2: As far a I understand you have fully dismissed my case as per the ticket there is no way I can now get this payment as you won’t help, stating your non sensical terms. What kind of a terms where it make it hard for someone to get paid. I don’t understand. I was told. I can’t complain again when my case was dismissed once just because NO COMMENTS were added to the complaint . You can’t be silly than this. I’m done probably my last year here. You don’t even check why they haven’t paid me. CX unhelpful to drivers is the end of CX . I’ll be the one to leave because of the stress of getting paid to get things run is getting worse. That too a company enabled smart pay is doing this and Cx won’t help. Wonderful. As far as CX don’t help sensibly to get paid for a job done Smart pay is a useless.

Drivers are treated unfairly – money comes first for CX

Courier Exchange cares only about subscription payments, not about the drivers’ rights or fair trading. Many members act dishonestly, stealing work from others, and the platform does absolutely nothing to stop them – as long as they keep paying their subscription fees. There’s no real support or protection for honest drivers, and no proper monitoring of unethical behaviour. It’s a disappointing and frustrating experience for anyone trying to work professionally. This platform has lost its integrity.

Expensive membership, scarce work – drivers left out of pocket I joined Courier Exchange after paying £2,000 + VAT for “non-refundable” software and taking out the Goods-in-Transit insurance they recommend. I was assured that the platform would give me enough loads to make a living, but reality was very different. • Hardly any return jobs. When I did get an outbound load, I almost always drove home empty, wiping out the profit. • Long payment terms. Many loads pay 45-90 days after delivery, yet fuel, insurance and maintenance are due immediately. • All risk on the driver. CX makes money upfront from the membership fee and (it appears) commissions on the insurance they push, while we drivers gamble our savings and often end up in the red. • No transparency. If work were truly abundant, CX could just hire drivers directly and pay a fair wage – but they don’t. After months on the platform I’m filing a tax return that shows a loss, not a profit. Unless CX drastically changes its model or refunds fees to drivers who can’t secure work, I cannot recommend this service to anyone.

I have been with CX for 18 months which…

I have been with CX for 18 months which was extended for health reasons which I cannot fault CX for their support. I am unlikely to renew next month for several reasons 1, the renewal cost of £2400 is really far to high for a single owner driver, especially when you add the Insurance and business van liabilty costs. 2 to win a job the agreed cost is far too low, lucky if you can get 70p per mile 3 I have not worked much through the CX platform much in recent months due to finding jobs through my own methods which are more lucrative. If the cost for renewel of membership was reasonable I would continue to use for maybe return journeys, but at the current cost is not viable. 4 The system could be so much better if CX were able to adopt minimum rates but £40 for an 80 plus mile journey that takes 2 1/2 hours is not a reasonable price.....

Courier Exchange Exploited My Illness, Ignored Medical Evidence & Breached Their Own Policy – A Dangerous Company for Small Operators

Courier Exchange (CX) portrays itself as a trusted platform for logistics professionals. But when you’re vulnerable, unwell, and need fair treatment, they reveal their true face — cold, corporate, and ethically broken. Due to serious, NHS-confirmed health conditions (including fibromyalgia, severe obstructive sleep apnoea, and neurological trauma), I became medically unfit to work. I informed CX and was asked to submit a 12-month Fit Note and GP letter to have my refund request properly reviewed. I did exactly as they asked, in full faith that I was entering a legitimate, compassionate process. Instead, I was deceived. What I received was a copy-paste refusal, with: • No mention of my condition, • No evidence my case was ever reviewed, and • No fair application of their own “discretionary refund policy.” They collected my private medical data under false pretences — then acted as if I was just another number. That is not just unfair. That’s dangerous. Let’s be clear: • They breached their own policy, • They ignored UK consumer law, • They violated my disability rights under the Equality Act 2010, • And they mishandled special category medical data, a serious UK GDPR violation. I’ve now filed formal complaints with: • The ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office), • Trading Standards, • And I’m pursuing them through Small Claims Court. If you’re a sole trader, a driver, or a small fleet operator, please take this seriously: Courier Exchange will not support you when you need them most. They will dismiss you, deny accountability, and profit from your hardship. This isn’t a network. This isn’t a partnership. This is a machine that takes your money and turns its back the moment you’re down. This is the real face of Courier Exchange.

Join cx or not

I was very uncertain about joining cx but pleased i did as its helped me secure some work, plus contracts i didn't have before. Josh has been excellent, if I've had a problem Josh sorted it out quickly, he's been 100% helpful, cheers
