Review summary
Cluey Learning has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
My Yr10 student who is preparing for VCE mathematics is finding the Cluey tutorial extremely helpful. The tutor is flexible when it comes to changing up topics being covered on any particular session.
A great experience for my YR 10 student.
Cluey learning is convenient, and my daughter says her tutor is very helpful and explains until she understands.
For working parents having the convenience of extra tutoring is key and Cluey learning ticks those boxes.
Year 7 Student getting some outside help in Maths to cover some gaps and is she is quite happy to sit for one hour a week and work through the time online with her tutor.
Early days but so far, a good experience!
Let me give you their model. They are very quick to call, engage and sign you up (which is fair). They bill a week in advance and it’s ok to move things around if you time it carefully before deadlines but getting the tutor you want is brutal. (Strict rules on what you can do when so be aware, just be warned. They do spell it out, so be very alert to that.) We had a horrible run with tutors. We did the trial with a tutor that went very well but tutor wasn’t available going forward so we got someone else. That went well but then they changed it again. They third one was horrible and belittling and my child hated her. So we went for a fourth but somone different turned up. We just churned tutors. We just got off to a bad start and it spiralled. I had a short window to change things. No penalty on them to switch a tutor. Too much admin and upset my child. Horrible service for a kid with some special needs so we pulled the plug. Be warned that support is very automated. There is no email. Call centre is a process of automated prompts and a real slog to find a human. Everything pushed back to the portal and more online support. If you persist, you end up in a call centre in the Phillipines on a horrible connection. Still waiting for a refund for that final session.
“3-5 business days” is now nearing 2 months. Just. Too. Much. Effort. And. Admin.
My 8 year old needed a confidence boost in maths. She loves he online sessions and her tutor. I love the fact that I get progress reports straight after each session. Would recommend 100%
Alex has been great with my son. He is happy to re-explain things in different ways to better help him understand. Alex is very patient and is able to adapt the learning as needed.
The tutor was helpful for mathematics. However, I went to reschedule my session with another tutor and they cancelled the session, claiming that my regular tutor was unavailable. I believe this was a tech issue and they gave me credit for it but it would have been nice to have the session on the day that I booked instead of getting cancelled. A suggestion I would make is to have more questions for each topic available outside of those assigned during sessions. Either way, I feel like I've learnt a lot with my tutor.
Very bad customer service. I have a question about a session being duplicated on two invoices and nobody from support has bothered to answer my question. They keep telling me irrelevant answers. I asked if I could speak with somebody but there was no reply to that. If you call their 1300 number, all it does is send you details on how to get answers to your questions through the hub. There’s no option to speak with anyone. I find it very dodgy that a company that has no problem charging your credit card, could actually avoid answering a simple billing query. I think it’s done on purpose. I gave 3 stars mainly because my daughter’s tutors are a good fit and dedicated to teaching her well. That said, she also had substitute tutors who were totally unmotivated to teach. I realised that it’s better to just cancel the session if the assigned tutor is unavailable. Overall I’m very close to cancelling Cluey altogether. It’s becoming very shady in my opinion. The only thing stopping me at this point are the two good tutors we have.
My son got a lot of help through your online tutors. It was a one on one experience which addressed his problem areas.
The lessons were structured to suite his needs.
We have seen a lot of improvement in his work and will not hesitate to use Cluey again.Happy to recommend your services and its eay and straight foward to get started. Happy mom

Cluey Learning - From the perspective of a TAS student
One of the good things about Cluey Learning, is that it emphasizes personalized tutoring, tailoring lessons to the specific needs and learning styles of an individual students. Through its feedback system it allows the tutors to adapt to the challenges a learner might face. If I were to give a critique, with any type of tutoring you have to keep the prices in mind, Cluey Learning is another reminder of that, also, perhaps this is a TAS specific thing, but certain courses aren't covered (like Physical Science).
Cluey has been great for my daughters learning, she has built a great rapport with Lauren and looks forward to each week. I was hesitant to sign for online tutoring as I had thought this would not be personable nor the best way. I have been pleasantly surprised and I am very impressed! I would definitely recommend cluey learning to support your child in their learning journey.

After just a few months with Cluey I noticed a greater confidence in my son with regard to the subject he is being tutored in. Tutor and student identify where help is needed and the feedback from both tutor and student is given at the end of each session which helps parents understand the progress.
