plane simple good service.

I ordered water softener tablets on the 6th and collection was promised for the 9th. Nothing! After a phone call, delivery was promised on the 14th. Nothing! A further phone call - told available for collection at the local branch after 4pm on 15th. I turned up - sorry, a problem, but we will deliver to you on 16th. Nothing. A further phone call - it will be with you on the morning of the 17th. Nothing! I am writing this on the evening of the 17th and the issue is still unresolved. I went to this company initially because their prices seemed very competitive, but I have never experienced anything so incompetent regarding the completion of an order.

Two e-mails stating order ready to collect. Went to shop to collect, Order not ready, told that there would be a £25 delivery charge to pickup an order of £8 which would fit through a letter box. Man in shop was going to ring around some other stores on Monday to try and get the bits. Not sure if I am going to receive / collect this order after leaving the shop. City Plumbing have my money I don't have the goods. This is my first order with city plumbing probably my last. My account states 'order ready, not yet collected'. copy of one of the e-mails, Good Morning Thank you for contacting City Plumbing Customer Services. I can confirm this is ready for collection now, please quote this ticket number A93xxx upon collection. Thank you Kind regards, Bobby Customer Services City Plumbing, are you pleased with your super performance?

First class service, very prompt reply. Good product and nice staff at the service desk.

All parts turned up quickly. Have not fitted them yet

From day of order, the delivery arrived on time and as advised

Easy to order online and staff at the branch were very friendly

I ordered online for click and collect, waited for a few hours before I needed to go out anyway and when I turned up was told that they hadn't looked at the online stuff yet! it was ok as the items were stocked by the counter but think that it's a poor show that online orders aren't given any priority. I use click and collect quite often at other stores as a way of ensuring things are ready when I turn up.

Good knowlage and advice

Received a text message to say that the item was ready to collect so headed across later that day to pick up. Arrived in store to be told it couldn’t possibly be ready as it had only been ordered by the staff in branch that morning. No apology and completely dismissive attitude when I pointed out that I’d received a text to say it was in. Received a second text message two days later to say it was in and this time was able to collect. Turns out they have to manually order at the branch certain items if a customer orders them online and someone in branch had got ‘finger happy’ and sent the first text message in error. Really poor system which caused me a wasted 10 mile round trip!

Ordered on line on Sunday and collected all on Tuesday morning Very pleased with service
