I like this hotel! If you’re really into tech you’ll truly like this place. The lobby is colorful, upbeat and high tech. Check-in area is sort of like an Apple Store. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded to an ADA room since we were told the rooms are only 150sq and we had these huge suitcases; but frankly if you’re visiting for a couple of days it’s perfect. Everything inside the room is controlled by an iPad which we found so cool and fun too. Room was spotless. Bed is super comfortable for a hotel; nice firm pillows; crisp white sheet and warm comforter. A really nice sleep; and the iPad gives you music to Focus, Dream or Ascend depending on what mood you’re in. The glass doors to the bathroom are sufficient and not a problem where other peoples’ reviews said otherwise. All points of interest are a 10 minute walk. We would stay here again for sure!

Ik vind het zo gek dat het aantal sterren zo laag is!Wij verbleven in Parijs-Champs Elysees en het was fantastisch.Natuurlijk is het duur en maakt het contactloze verblijf het een beetje onpersoonlijk maar áls er iets is,is er meteen iemand bereikbaar! Wij vonden het helemaal top!Locatie perfect,kamer perfect (midden in de drukte en toch helemaal stil) én dat dakterras is echt té lekker!

1am on a Saturday night and the rooftop bar is shut. Really poor part -pre cooked pizzas but entirely heated through. Very poor indeed

Tried to book 7 rooms for a conference in March but somehow booked for the day I was searching - tried to cancel (exactly 2 mins after realising my mistake) and hotel refuses to refund - surely this is not legal?

Breakfast throw up. We had breakfast at CitizenM Bankside in London. For our son we asked for gluten free breakfast, they provided gluten free bread and croissant. However, it was NOT gluten free we found out one hour later. Or son had to throw up for hours. He missed an expensive musical by this. No compensation for this was offered by CitizenM. Be careful with gluten here.

“A Shadow and a Stench Have Fallen Upon This Place” Four nights at CitizenM Bankside in London. Three rooms. And from the moment we crossed the threshold, it was as if we had entered Mordor by way of a train station loo. Both rooms carried the same unwelcome signature: the persistent odor of toilet brush holders clearly on a long, unbroken tenure. The climate control, set with hope at 20°C (68), refused to yield anything below 28°C (82). The air was heavy, unmoving — more Mount Doom than London in August. A fan was promised but, like the return of the King, never came. We were offered a room change, but the new room bore the same scent and heat, as if cursed. The iPad “controls” were little more than props in this drama, serving the role of magical talismans that, sadly, held no actual power. At checkout, they offered one free night — a gesture that seemed almost rehearsed, perhaps given often to travelers who endure the same fate. Later, when I requested a full refund, they declined, narrowing the whole affair to “an AC issue on the last night” while politely ignoring the matter of the smell. This place is marketed as 4-star, yet I can find no evidence of official accreditation from the AA or VisitEngland. I’ve reported the matter to both, and to Google, for review. If you seek a night’s rest, look elsewhere. But if you wish to undertake an endurance trial worthy of the Fellowship — complete with extreme heat, odor, and empty promises — then by all means, CitizenM Bankside awaits.

After a cancelled flight I got a last minute night in the Amsterdam Schipol hotel. The hotel is very close to the terminal. I had a good breakfast, nice bed and the most friendly staff I met during my whole Netherlands stay. Yes, the rooms are small but is an airport hotel, not made for long holidays and is making good use of the space. Loved the Ipad that controlled everything, the noise suppression room and the fact that the blinds really kept the room dark. Will definitely stay here again for short city breaks as better and cheaper than the hotel I had in Amsterdam

⛔️ WARNING I have purchase their scam of a subscription service and also stayed over 4 times at the Citizen hotel in Rome. I had my passport stolen from this hotel from our rooms ( the cleaners took it ) and the hotel was of NO HELP they are the worst. As an apology they gave me one night stay, I would rather sleep in termini than stay at that hotel.

I've stayed in citizenM hotels in a few cities around the world and always really enjoyed the experience but last year, they upgraded my account to the gratitude membership for free. I didn't do anything, it just happened. Today, they tried to take $120 from my account as a renewal. I find this incredibly sneaky. There was no warning that I would be charged unless I took action. It just feels really dishonest, especially as my initial upgrade was unsolicited. I likely won't use them again after this

The rooms were tiny. I literally had to climb over my husband. No nightstand or place to put anything. No glasses - not even a paper cup. The shower was tiny and uncomfortable. Everything was electronic and a royal pain ! Never again!!!

We arrived Sunday evening after traveling from the UK to Washington via Iceland. On checking we were told about the faulty air-conditioning but assured it would be fixed the following morning. On entry to the room we were surprised at the size but it was very humid. We went down to the restaurant to eat as we were starving. We placed the order and waited, and waited, and waited. My wife asked the server where the pizza was only to be told that she had forgotten to cook it. After a 45 minute wait the pizza arrived with no apology. All the lights, TV ect are controlled by an iPad, the frustrating thing is that if you want the toilet light on you have to put all the lights on. The Aircon was never fixed in the end. On check out we spoke to a young lady (who looked like Macy Grey) she asked us I we had a good stay. When we replied no due to there being no Aircon she just gaslighted us with no concern or empathy. While we were waiting for our taxi another guest came down who had exactly the same issue Macy Grey fawned over her and gave her food tokens for her next visit. This guest was of African American descent do I dare say there was a bit of "look after your own" in there somehow. We have since canceled our CitizenM membership plus cancelled the CitizenM room in San Fransisco.

Nu 3 keer gemaild en gevraagd of er nagekeken kan worden of er geen boekingen meer openstaan van mij voor de twee hotels in Amsterdam. Geen antwoord. Omdat ik er niet op zit te wachten dat er op 1 november 2x een hotelboeking wordt afgeschreven op nieuw gemaild. Met de chatbot kom ik niet verder. Want ik heb geen boekingsnummer. Erg jammer. Ik was altijd zeer tevreden.

Stayed in citizenM for 2-3 days in Dublin. The location is wonderful, and while it’s a lot of self service, the employees offered great customer service and made sure everything happened smoothly. The rooms were very cold even when you turned the temperature up on the iPad (on which u control everything in the room). We also turned the aircondition on low, but there could always be felt a breeze - I think the windows may have let in some air, even though they don’t open up. The “wall” around the bathroom was glass and slimmer than my pinky and so u can hear everything - I’d say only share a room with someone you are very comfortable with… The tap water took about 100 years to turn hot, although we experienced no problems with the shower. The breakfast is far too expensive, compared to what u get.

In early October 2024, I booked accommodation and citizenM Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for the 25th April 2025. My flight scheduled to arrive at 1900 hours. I was to catch a train to the south of France the next morning. Air India contacted me in November to say the flight had been changed and was arriving in Paris at 0315 hrs on 26th April so that by the time I had cleared the airport and got the hotel it would have been 0600 hrs and I was to catch the train at 0830 hrs. There was no other flight with Air India so I didn't need the accommodation. I understand, now, that there is a no refund policy once confirmation of reservation that is written at the bottom of the agreement, but I still expected some understanding and flexibility in this policy in light of changes that were out of my control. I received no such customer support except a blanket refusal to even consider options other than booking another day. When am I going to be staying in Paris when I live in Australia??? This policy is all about the company making money at no cost to them except poor customer service. There are three changes the company should consider. Firstly, that this no refund policy is unusual and extremely unfair, especially when I was booking 5 months ahead with all the vagaries of air travel and should be cancelled Failing that, the policy should be raised prior to committment and the purchaser should have to acknowledge that they are aware of the policy. And finally, there should be some flexibility in the policy for individual cases like mine.

Lots of CituzenM hotels, my review covers the one at Amsterdam Schiphol. Can't speak for the rest. Interesting hotel. Staff are excellent -friendly, efficient. Hotel is a 5 minute covered walk from Schiphol terminal 3. That's fine im good weather, not sure about wind & rain, sides are open. Rooms are "compact". If you're comfortable with an iPad, no probs, almost everything operates from it. Lights, tv, blinds. I found the thing a bit unresponsive. Press home to start? There is no home! Anyway, managed. Room was very quiet, can be totally darkened. Shower's fine, once you realise there's a microswitch on the doors - shower starts when doors are fully closed, needed a good slam. Fine once working. Really a 1 person room, toilet is completely in the open. Overall, bit quirky, but certainly worth repeat visits.

Extremely helpful service /just arrived but had a very patient check in attendant : Carla at San Francisco location— who helped process my payment ( multiple attempts! ) given an unexpected and still unexplained cc snag. Really appreciated her extra efforts!!! Rose

Here in Seattle and enjoying my first Citizen M experience! It’s a little too techie-as-brand but whatever. Two people esp if tall or not together for a long time would have a problem— it’s very intimate. Bathroom is right there! But for one person it is great and the location and view of this hotel are amazing! Very pleased so far.

2 hotels bezocht in 4 dagen tijd, Tower of Londen en Bankside, erg fijn hotel. Beide vergelijkbaar, maar Tower of Londen iets mooier uitzicht. Ontbijt was erg goed, kamers konden ook goed donker worden waardoor goede nachtrust. En uiteraard soepele kamer bediening via de app. Van het inchecken tot aan bedienen van de kamer. Wil snel terug!

Hope nothing goes wrongs and you need any kind of service - there is absolutely none to be had. They use policy to screw you over if they can. Terrible service.
