Having just completed the sale of my Renault Avantime I would like to say how satisfying and seamless a procedure it was from start to finish! All this was made possible by the professional expertise of Car&Clasic representative, Alex Palmer who advised and kept me informed throughout and did his very best to achieve a good outcome for me. From my first experience of C&C auction site I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company and certainly would use again!

Great support throughout the process.. phone communication excellent and valuable advice about pricing. Great description writing and well worth getting the professional video as well as the photos.

It's a go to brand for classic car sales. Mine sold eventually but be patient as classics take time. The website is hard to understand, and the processes not explained well, I have to say. I would recommend a UX review. My purchaser chose to use the payment process which is expensive, but I paid nothing to advertise, so fair enough. I would use this service again for a classic purchase or sale. It's the go to platform.

Bien rapide efficace

I would have given 5 Stars but initially MangoPay was slow to confirm that the buyer had transferred the funds into the escrow account and both the buyer and myself had to chase C&C. That said C&C's customer service was first class, answering emails, answering the telephone (how rare these days) and promptly sorting things out. Equally MangoPay did transfer the funds immediately once both parties confirmed the sale, so all in all it was a great experience and I would definitely sell again through C&C and use their secure selling system.

I bought a car on the Car & Classic Auction site that was definitely not as described, it had easily noticeable parts missing that are discontinued and impossible to source and items not working. Any routine inspection would have highlighted such general issues also the photos seemed to be taken from an angle that these issues would not be noticed. I decided to bite the bullet as it was my fault for trusting Car & Classic’s description and photos and not inspecting the car myself prior to purchase and proceeded to spend over £2000 getting it up together and decided to auction it off on the same site for the same price I purchased it although it was a much better car now. I was told thanks for the enquiry but it’s not the type of car we auction, obviously it was and they did not realise I originally purchased it from an auction on their site.

This was the first time I've used the site, it certainly won't be the last, as I'm one very happy user. The site is easy / friendly to use allowing you to add lots of photos and description words, adverts get a wide audience (I live in the UK, but sold my 1939 Ariel Square 4 to a lovely chap in the Czech Republic). I managed my own sale, payment etc, so my advert / sale was FREE; what more could you ask for!

Being a first time seller on Car & Classic, I was very unsure about the buyers money being transferred after my car was collected by a transport company. I emailed Car & Classic prior to collection, asking them in more detail what actually happens. They came back to me within 24 hours and explained everything with such reassurance! I would highly recommend using Car & Classic to buy or sell your Car and will not hesitate to use them again.

In general a fairly good experience selling on this platform. They seem to have a good international presence so I had enquiries from all over. My only concern was whether the people contacting me were genuine or not (and some definitely weren't). Perhaps C&C could be a bit more rigorous in checking the identity of people before they are allowed to enquire?

I found that most of the people I dealt with were very helpful. However on calling your telephone number I left numerous messages and it took a long time for someone to come back to me. My main concern was when the Auction finished and did not reach the reserve. I tried to phone up many times and speak to someone about it, but all I got was the answer phone and left a message and no one spoke to me until the following evening. This meant I lost the 2 highest bidders due to the time it took to contact them. I feel your answer phone message should say you have reached Car & Classic and not just 'please leave a message'. However, 2 people stood out by being very helpful and efficient. They took time to listen, advise and help me through the process. They made me feel like a person and not just a number. They were John Robinson and Graham Eason. My car has now been sold and it was collected yesterday for its onward journey to Australia. Thank you. JJC

Excellent friendly website to set up the sale, chats were easy to respond to, car sold within 2 weeks, to the 2nd person who saw the car. Sale process very easy for both parties. 2nd time i have sold a car using the website and very impressed both times.

I never give 5 stars to anyone normally and buying through an auction can be daunting but I bought a Lancia classic car from Italy and communication was superb the buyer was good to deal with and her help just added to the experience, I have a weakness for old Italian cars and I will definitely use Classic & CAR again without hesitate please give Margherita a wage increase
