I am fulfilling a cease and desist request issued by BWJ Travel, LLC, to clarify my points of negative review. So, I now leave the following as my changed legally factual review, taken in-part from correspondence sent by myself to the legal representation of BWJ Travel, LLC being Francesco Picone, Esq: -I spent two hours on a conference call with more than 100 other people after submitting my credentials for consideration. - At the end of the call I was told I was hired but needed to sign up for certification for $59. Ok. It may be unusual to have to pay to get into a job, but I liked the job, as described and paid the money. -Turned out it was $59/month but still ok. -I was told that I would receive a link to complete training by Jacob, the call leader, after he called my name out recognizing my certification payment. -I was told I would get the training link right away. In fact, I was told that if I could complete the training the same day, Weds 2/5/25, I could begin work as soon as Friday 2/7. I was motivated for it. -I waited for the link. No link. - I replied to the text confirming my payment to ask where the link was. No response and nothing on my email. -Next day I ask where the link is again. No response. Friday I send another text. No response. No training link. I wrote a much more brief and negative review here on Monday. Tuesday I was contacted by a lawyer claiming I was defaming their client. Saying it might have just been a technical glitch that I didn't get what I was promised. So I wrote back on email and asked questions. If this incident was an accident or technical glitch: -Why had I still not received a link to training after 5 days? A technical glitch might explain why the link was not sent that night but they never sent it at all - If they didn’t have any spots left, I get it. Why wasn’t a communication sent and a refund issued without a bad, but truthful review being published? -They promptly texted me the link to the training Zoom and acknowledgement of payment but could not be bothered to communicate with me after receiving a little money from me? That doesn’t show a good faith effort to me as you suggest. Instead, it shows bad intent. I'm adding here that it is interesting that can get counsel involved within 24 hours of my posting a negative review, but never bothered contacting me about a broken verbal contract? Draw your own conclusions, folks.

As a new travel agent with BWJ Travel, I've found their support for independent agents valuable. They provide SOT (Seller of Travel) credentials and bonding for states requiring it (CA, FL, HI, WA, IA), which is crucial for newcomers to the industry. This allows us to start strong with proper licensing and insurance. I'm transitioning my existing business, CARRYMYBAGZ, from digital design solutions to Concierge Travel Assistance. BWJ's partnerships offer 24/7 agent assistance and after-hours emergency help, enhancing my service capabilities. While I'm still in training, I appreciate the company's transparency. Co-owner Jacob conducted a live orientation, providing verifiable information about the business. As a professional sales representative, I didn't feel pressured by a sales pitch. It's important to note that every company faces challenges. I encourage potential agents to conduct thorough research and due diligence. This industry requires individual thinking and compliance with current regulations. BWJ's offer to supply initial clients, alongside the opportunity to acquire your own, seems beneficial for newcomers. The remote nature of the work is also appealing, though it's crucial to understand state-specific registration requirements. If I could make a zero rate I would. PLZ DON'T GET SCAMMED😡😤. This company needs to be reported by fraud agency not just reviews. 2h scripted and rehearsed video meeting with over 100 other ppl, just to be pressured into being swindled out of $97 monthly to pay for what he says is a certification which isn't needed, but maybe after experience would be good.

DISGUSTING SCAMMERS. BE CAREFUL! They post a job offer on Craigslist, and then a deceitful individual named "Jacob" conducts an interview with you and over 100 other candidates, lasting about two hours. At the end of the interview, he informs you that to secure the position, you must pay $59 for "insurance" in case you make a mistake while booking travel for their nonexistent clients. What a waste of time! What a shitty monster! Disgusting.

I received a letter to remove my review because my review is considered "defamation" because i told the truth about my "interview"

My experiences with BWJ are pretty standard. They onboarded a couple dozen of us with no training and offered to cover us through company insurance as long as they could profit one way or another, as one should expect with any independently contracted work. You get access to a database of leads that are there to provide you with a start in your company before your name is effectively out there. Jasmine, the advisor I've been texting has been a huge help. Whenever I had questions that were unanswered she immediately responded with an assortment of answers and options I can take. I just picked up my first two clients and now she's helping me get it all sorted out so I can begin actually earning my commission. BWJ isn't a pyramid scheme. If it was I'd be tasked with recruiting my friends and cold-calling clients. Anyone on this site who is saying otherwise has not made it past that onboarding call that I mentioned at the beginning. It's not easy, and with no experience behind me, it's not free. I'm getting what I expected out of this company nothing more and nothing less.

Mary was absolutely AMAZING with helping me get started with BWJ and setting up my profile. Her communication was great and she responded instantly.

They wasted my time. I thought it was a one on one interview. I am struggling in between jobs and i dedicated over an hour. I then saw it was alot of people it was a webinar, where he sells us the idea of getting money and asks for 59 dollars a month at the end. DO NOT attend it is a waste of time. He did not allow us to ask questions or speak!

I recently became a travel agent with BWJ Travel. The onboarding process was exceptional. To ensure that I am protected from errors in providing concierge client services, I was required to purchase E&O Insurance at a reasonable price. The training and information is in-depth and self-paced. The regular hours along with after hours support is exceptional. The training academy is one of the best in the industry. I kept looking for some hint of a scam, a multi-level marketing, or having to recruit something -- it was not there. I am very honored to be a part of this expanding travel agency that has been around for decades. Thank you Jacob and Edwin for a future of extraordinary opportunities to serve.

I've been with BWJ for about 7 months and it has been awesome! Any time I've ever had an issue they did everything they could to help resolve the issue. It's definitely been a game changer for me.

I’ve been with BWJ for over six months now, and I love it. The tools and guidance they offer are perfect for anyone looking to build a side hustle in travel.

I suggest you do more research into this company before signing up with them for employment. This business is NOT BBB accredited. It's been reported as a scam by multiple people. In addition, if you read their entire contract (I did, and I did not sign due to the discrepancies I read in comparison to what was told to me through the initial group interview), you will notice that they state multiple things in there that are different than what they tell you in the group webinar. I have not been able to prove they are a scam myself due to exiting out of the employment process with them right after I read the contract and noticed extra terms in there that were different than what they discussed with everyone in the group webinar interview. I paid the $59 fee to sign up for the travel agent insurance because the man seemed very sincere in the interview, and despite my gut telling me to do research on them first before signing up, I felt a bit of pressure and was in a desperate place financially, so I gave into that pressure. Please note that once you pay that fee, you will not be able to get it refunded. I am currently disputing the charge with my credit card company but I am having a challenging time so far with winning the dispute. I may update with you all if I win the dispute. Aside from their contract not lining up with what they tell you in the group interview, another reason why I suggest you think twice about signing up with them is because I have not found any reviews from anyone that works for them who can back up their claims that bwj does in fact have clients who are celebrities, very affluent, etc. When I looked through their reviews, they were from people just starting with them and they were very vague or did not talk about hitting the revenue bwj claims you can make with them as an agent. In addition, when you research them, you'll find that someone reported them as a scam with BBB and it was approved as a report back in April of 2024. To reiterate, they are NOT BBB accredited which means they did not pass some of the requirements to prove they are a trustworthy business. *I am legally allowed to write this review due to not signing the contract. In the contract, they state you are not allowed to write anything negative about them for 3 years after you end your employment with them. That is why I did not sign the contract, in addition to the discrepancies I found.

BWJ has changed my life for the better. I’ve tried other travel agencies before, but nothing compares to the support and resources here. The training videos, Meet & Greet calls, and their agent community are all outstanding. I’m booking repeat clients now and earning a steady income while doing something I love. The support team is always there when I need help, making everything feel seamless. I’m so glad I took the leap and joined BWJ—it’s been worth every minute!

** UPDATE ** 1/17/24 - I feel much better after speaking with Edwin, from the operations team. He spent extra time with me to go over all of my questions and concerns, which I truly appreciated. I feel confident that this is a good company, and legit, and can be a successful career. Depending on your abilities, knowledge, and performance, each person's journey will be their own. They use great supplier companies in order to give their agents the higher commissions, but also include less expensive options for the every day traveler who isn't purchasing a luxury resort, or whatever. Edwin heard my passion for the industry and excitement to be a part of the community again, and I couldn't be more excited to partner with them. They have a great support system in place for their agents, to help build them into a place of comfort, along with plenty of ongoing training opportunites that you can do at your own pace. Team zooms with industry updates are often given as well. Thank you, Edwin, for your time and patience with me! My experience was the same as others- applied for a job elsewhere, got an email saying it was filled but they were interested in me for another position. I was invited on a zoom conference call and listened to Mark (Co-Founder) speak for over an hour. I was left with multiple unanswered questions so I emailed. I did get a reply back stating they received my email and created a ticket number, said they would get in touch soon. I waited all day, nothing. (Which I found ironic since Mark expressed over and over how we needed to call the clients within 3 minutes) My husband and I decided to search the internet for more information. I have been in the travel industry for a decade, so I am fully aware of what to search for. The company is registered as an agency in the state of California. They do appear to have their ducks in a row, giving what appears to be legit information on their website. Their IATA is legit, from what I can tell. (Also, sidenote to ppl questioning the "subscription fee"- it is very acceptable and common practice for host agencies such as this one, to charge a fee for the IATA and usage of their network/booking portals.) I do think they have a huge need to rethink their hiring process, though! It's ridiculous! NEVER have I been hired without even speaking to a hiring manager one on one. NEVER have I been asked to pay a fee BEFORE signing a contract, or starting the job. Literally everyone in the zoom conference was hired on the spot, which devalued my expertise and work experience/skills. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. If you aren't sure what to ask them, here are some key things to keep in mind: 1. Normally travel agents get paid after their client travels. BWJ says they pay weekly. Think that through. If they prepay you what you are expected to make, then the client cancels, do you repay that money back? 2. No mention of a consortium (Virtuoso, Signature, etc) or preferred vendors/wholesalers (such as Disney, Apple, Princess, etc), which is concerning since those are the companies the agent gets commissions from. Just some random thoughts as I wait...

I was just on the sales pitch call and as soon as I said that this seems like a scam and that the company gets horrible reviews I was removed from the call. This is a predatory company that is taking advantage of trusting people that have little money. Shame on them. The reviews are correct listen to them. PS - also shady that they silence comments so that others cannot see the chat...hmmmm
