If I could give ZERO I would. Had such an awful experience with this company it ruined my holiday and the promised 4 day refund because it was so bad still hasnt been paid to myself even though I was told on 2nd August at airport that it was done immediately. The vehicle I booked had been given to another customer so it took a day to get resolved and had to return to airport and wait for another couple hours. I have made a complaint and have had no response and no refund.
At pickup constructive and easy communication, we were informed about all details (deposit (important to know: car and fuel deposit!) , possible insurances, left-hand traffic, toll...) without unnecessary sales talk. Super car - very clean, no damage, good driving experience, no problems at all. At the return very fast and uncomplicated processing and quick confirmation of the deposit refund. Absolute recommendation!

Budget gave me a better car than expected, the car worked perfectly, and there were no issues with the full tank refund at the end of the rental.
Simple collection and drop off at Shannon Airport . I had to change my booking and extend hire . Simple helpful process over the phone .

Hired a car from Budget. When choosing a car they are specified in price brackets from cheapest/smallest/more basic upwards towards more executive cars. Having travelled to Ireland at least twice a year for last 22 years we decided to pay a bit of a premium for the intermediate bracket (priced above mini, economy and compact). For context having now had 50+ car hires from Dublin airport this is the first time I’ve ever negative reviewed. We were given a beaten up (loads of scratches, dents) Dacia Sandero - and the most basic model - I.e wind up windows, had to open the boot with the key (I.e no button on the actual boot, not openable via key fob), radio console also incredibly basic), no air con, etc. Due to running late there was no time to challenge this at the time. On the same day four hours later brother in law also hired from budget a mini car (I.e what is bracketed at the most basic and cheapest option) and got a Seat Ibiza, far more features, mod cons, a better and higher spec car etc and at a fraction of the price, making it hard to comprehend how despite paying THREE pay brackets higher we were given a smaller, cheaper and more basic car. Raised the issue with the customer service email mid rental (email remains ignored). When raising concern at rental return staff profusely apologetic (hard to deny when the beaten up car and receipt is in front of them) who suggested I raise the concerns with customer service. Explained I had and had been ignored and the look of silence from the staff said it all. In summary I found this practice unethical at best, and was clearly very different to what I had been sold and paid a chunk more for. In future pay the same extra and take a punt with one of the other big players. Add. I note the reply below and have to say disappointing to read. 1) This idea if your paying just under €400 and want a car that has luxuries such as electric windows or a button to open the boot you should request it when ordering is nonsense. 2) completely ignores the point about giving someone else in the family a superior car despite them paying three price bands lower. 3) Also no acknowledgement about the quality of the car that was pretty beaten up, scratched/dented 4) The email address being very busy - well another two weeks have passed and still no reply. This clearly triangulates with other reviews here about getting a reply when an issue is raised

Picking up at Cork Airport couldn't be easier,no queue,everything explained and on my way in a new Corsa very quickly,dropping back off was equally easy
Excellent service at this location. The car was ready when it was supposed to be, the agent was very friendly and super helpful, and they were even able to accommodate a mid-journey change in drop off location with no problem. Highly recommend.

Budget have charged me for Airport pickup and drop off at the Dublin Terminal,which was not provided as we were bussed off site, and for an extra driver when the only drivers were myself and my wife. They are refusing to even respond to my complaints on the matter By the way, the car had done over 100,000km ! I would strongly advise against using them

Mietwagen Budget Kerry Airport Betrug mit System? Wagen gebucht über billiger-mietwagen.de Lt. Voucher Kosten der Einwegmiete 68 €, Budget hat mir jedoch 150 € berechnet. Was sollte ich machen, ich hätte den Wagen ansonsten nicht bekommen. Bei der Rückgabe in Dublin wollte man mir einen gut sichtbaren Kratzer berechnen, ich hatte vorsichtshalber bei der Übernahme einige Fotos des Wagens angefertigt. Das dieser Kratzer nicht im Protokoll vermerkt war ist vielleicht System und wurde evtl. bereits mehrfach meinen Vormietern berechnet. Fazit: Augen auf!!! Budget hat sich ohne Aufforderung bei mir gemeldet und sich für den Fehler entschuldigt. Das Geld wird wieder gutgeschrieben.

OMG! Just as I neared Knock West Ireland airport on the narrow road indicated on Google Maps a large car forced me left and my front tire hit a rock and blew. My heart sank. I called Katie at the Budget desk at Knock and she talked me through finding the can of foam to try to seal the hole. I was no sooner holding it in my hand and a man pulled up behind me and asked if I was using a Budget car. I said yes and he sprang into action, tried the foam which came out the hole in the tire, pulled the car off the road, and helped me get my bags and things out. He then drove me to the airport, went in with me and worked out everything so I made my bus. He was a miracle--and he was David, the Budget rental offices’s manager. I didn't actually believe I would get such good, caring service, but there he was. Be glad for the insurance--it's pricey up front, but simple to use if you have meeting with a rock on a narrow road. Thanks David and Katie!

Friendly and efficient team. No hard sell for add-ons. Great experience from front desk through to pick up and return. I would consider flying to Knock as preferred choice now, just thanks to these guys. Hassle-free and convenient, just as car hire should be, but isn't very often. It’s was an absolute disaster, I was quoted €59. I knew it was going to be more when I got fully insured but not (€444)then had to get a car seat for €45 which was flirty.
