Another voice message from Fed Ex asking for the shipment to be picked up when they declined us picking it up as we didn't have a Govt Id with the same address. So we did go there as requested and they know that we cannot pick up and we have asked them to ship back to Brown's store but still holding on the item from July 24, 2024. Notice that their message mentions that they will hold on the item for FIVE days (screenshot below), so not sure why they are still calling me and not sending back to Brown. I called them back again today and have an automatic machine which had the option of 'sending back to the shipper' but was declined as I'm NOT the shipper.
On Brown's store side, I called on July 24th and told them that the pick up would be a problem and that I wanted to cancel the order. That was not possible on the store side, so we tried going to Fed Ex which as I anticipated didn't work (as mentioned) above. Waited 5 days (per Fed Ex notification) for the item to be sent back to Brown so that they can cancel and refund but that didn't happen. So I emailed and called back last week and was told the same thing as my first call, can't do anything will have to wait for the shipment to come back for us to cancel. I reiterated that I did go to FedEx as instructed and was declined and requested that Brown call them and ask them to ship back to the store so they can do the refund. I was told to wait for ten days, not sure why it's 10 days when Fed Ex message states 5 days ? I was told its 10 not 5, so not sure where is the disconnect. Yesterday was the 10th day and Fed Ex is calling me again today and they only have automatic machine. I feel stuck and my daughter's birthday surprise is ruined and my money is stuck with Brown and have no idea when this refund will happen. I was also told that after the refund is processed, it might take another 10 days to hit my credit card which is surprising as whenever there's a refund it's instantaneous. But at this point I don't even know what needs happen for me to even get that refund. Give me my money back please. Thank you
