WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE/DELIVERY - DON'T BUY HERE

I ordered and paid for worktop that was discontinued by the manufacture (Sheridan worktops). Received a confirmation of purchase message together with the delivery date, seemed all fine until two days before the worktop was due I received a message saying the worktop was no longer available. Since this was a 'statement' worktop, the whole kitchen was designed around it, so this was catastrophic news. Long story short Sheridan offered an alternative that was not going to work and BBK said "sorry not our fault". I have asked a discount on a similar product and they offered a 'free delivery instead' which I paid £25. After a number of conversations over the phone and emails, they agree to give an extra £25 discount on each worktop (each one was £270) and free delivery, not good enough but I had no other option as I was now under time constrain (kitchen fitter needed the worktop). When I though the ordeal was over, I got the news that delivery was to the curb - meaning, that I need to find two strong people to carry the worktop upstairs (I live on the first floor flat), and these two people need to be available when they 'decide' to show up - what a joke. How can you offer a delivery of a 3 meter worktop weighting over 100kg like that?? Same as saying, here is your washing machine, you sort it out! Totally unacceptable. I ended up having to pay someone to be here, so delivery wasn't really free. Product was ok, hence the 2 starts, but the service was terrible. I understand that problems happen but what you do to fix them is what really matters. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

1ST CLASS

I cannot speak highly enough BBK they have excellent choice, quality and great prices, on the day of delivery I had to cancel due to road works in and around my house I was expecting problems but they just rescheduled delivery for the following week. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Their customer service 2nd to none, thank you

Keep away from this company

Keep away from this company, had an email day before my delivery was told some of my order was out of stock and their supplier had only just told them, it would be at least 3 weeks before the rest would be delivered, told them to cancel the order and refund me, had to call 3 times to get a email confirmation of the order being cancelled, a week later still no refund was then told it takes 7-14 days, now day 14 and been told it’s 7-14 working days, I think the reviews on their website are made up, joke of a company, the one star review I left one their website has not appeared, it’s probably been deleted

Not happy with customer service nevermind product!

I've not even received my items yet and I'm already wishing I'd not ordered from this company. After arranging a delivery day with me (telling me and it just so happened it was ok), I got a phone call only the day before advising they needed to cancel delivery as part of my order wasn't ready. I was understanding and agreeable, even saying it couldn't helped and let me know when they need to rearrange. Fast forward only 36 hours ish and on a Friday while working and unable to answer my mobile phone, they'd attempted to call me to tell me they'd arranged me for a 7am drop off the next Monday! Despite telling them this isn't suitable and giving them other days to choose from and telling them I'm physically unable to assist the driver (why they send one driver with such heavy items is beyond me) AND they'll not be able to park on my road at that time, they ignored me. Being told they'd tried to call me to arrange delivery and then reiterating I need to have physically able people to help and access to the property really wasn't helpful! If you're a company delivering such large items, why would you arrange delivery without having being able to speak with the customer! Customer service is dire. Makes me very worried for the product I'm likely to receive next week. Not bad for a company who couldn't fulfill its original order promise, had a customer advisor tell the customer they'd call next week to update and arrange delivery, as that's when they expect the items in stock and their website states some nonsense about delivery date and times being communicated so customers can 'plan their days better'. Don't make me laugh!

A South African company with some sort…

A South African company with some sort of front in London. Our worktops were delivered scratched through being slid over one another either during transport or their loading into a panel van, anyway, being elderly we could not lift the 60 & 90Kg units to properly and thoroughly inspect everything until fitters arrived some three weeks after delivery but then too late to return within BBK 3 day time limit. We had excess material so through clever cutting most damage was discarded but one large scratch remains and BBK will not assist in anyway, not even any advice but knowing the units were now installed BBK offered a full refund only if we return everything (even though only one item is an issue) to an address near Johannesburg, South Africa even though the delivery notes say it was shipped from London/Essex. And we are shocked to have received such a poor response from their office offering us no help nor any advice. Nothing. The reason they are cheap is that they have no quality control and no proper handling facilities. It's a back of a van job and the customer takes their chances. It is such a shame, just a little bit of effort and care is all thats needed to avoid these simplistic problems. Additional comment following BBK’s response; Not until the carpenters arrived 3 weeks later could the materials be properly checked which was before any cutting was carried out, obviously we were not going to abort the workers day and pay abortive costs then repay same for their return especially as this would leave without a kitchen for how many weeks? Yes we tried Paypal who said we had to return all items to South Africa because thats what BBK told them, we queried this with Paypal but as they are only a payment processor they would not get involved in details, it was a return all or nothing and obviously we could not be without a kitchen. The manufacturer provides minimal protection that allows items to be placed one on top of the other. BBK offer a cheaper service because they do not apply any further protection nor any sort of quality rules when they slide these materials in and out of storage to storage to van, maybe numerous times? The driver actually walked on our 900mm worktop so he could undo the restraining straps. Small stones or grit on his shoes creates scratches especially when materials are slid over. So the bottom line is because BBK have no rules or procedures to care for the materials so by default BBK knowingly allow their staff to mistreat the materials so it is just shear luck if you receive your materials undamaged. If only BBK would put in half the effort in protecting the goods as they do hiding behind contracts and blaming others for their own mistakes.

Very happy with purchase of worktop and…

Very happy with purchase of worktop and splash back from BBK ,i ordered during lockdown and items arrived within the time they advised, they also helped to calculate how much we would need to order for our kitchen, we had slight problem with one splash back being delivered damaged but Lina who we ordered from was able to promptly re-order a replacement splashback at no extra cost and was delivery the following week.

STEER CLEAR!

NEVER AGAIN. We have been left with awful bowed worktops we paid nearly 3 grand for which has ruined our brand new kitchen. We were advised via email how far their adhesive would go, so we ordered 3 lots going by their judgement, we only needed 2. When we tried to return the 3rd one, we were told we were unable to even though we bought this amount as they had advised us, they are nearly £50 each. We thought as a gesture of good will for selling us awful damaged products they would at least let us return an adhesive which can be resold without a problem their end. Awful products and even worse customer service, will never be using them again. Very disappointed
