If i can i give a 0 star for them job

If i can i give a 0 star for them job. My dad is disable and our branch is 30km from us. I dont have a car my dad barely talk in English. He blocked his app and we try to call in bank of ireland for help. They not helping at all. If he try to say something they pretend that dont hear and even dont let his own daughter to help. They even asking so stupid question,like tell me when the last time you use the debit card, or what amount you spend. How he can remember what he pay before 2 or 3 weeks ago. Why they cant have some people who can help with transportation. He is old and disable. Im very disappointed this branch... Hope they will read this

I made a current account and a mortgage…

I made a current account and a mortgage saver account, already have had issues with online banking, cancelling direct debits and the call centre was absolutely useless/borderline hostile. Turned me completely off the mortgage and I’ll be cancelling both accounts ASAP. Stay clear.

Bank of Ireland customer service

Rang bank of Ireland a number of times lately and keep getting through to a call center in India. I finally talked to a person today as I thought it was one of those fraud centers and I asked the person who answered the phone where the call center is and was told bank of Ireland have transferred all their calls to a call center in southern India. This is where the government in India is cracking down on fraudulent call centers in India and the Internet is covered in stories asking why there is so many fraudulent call centers in India.There is something really wrong with the people who run bank of Ireland. Can the staff in Ireland not pick up a phone. You pay all your charges for this.

Time Wasting

Was approved in pricipal for a mortgage, based on my wages and proof of savings. Chose an appartment that suited my needs and checked with the bank, was given the thumbs up by my advisor, placed an offer which was accepted and then after organising solictors, sending holding deposit and sending proof of BER Cert the bank called to say the guidelines had changed and they would not support the mortgage. To make things worse the staff member called me just before closing time and then when I called back I was informed she was not going to be in until next week, leaving me with that news.

Company have no respect for people

Had a job interview with them. Firstly had a teams call, which had to chase feedback on. Then went into their office and had a face to face interview. Four weeks later and nothing from them to say thanks but not thanks. Chased HR several times. Fair enough if I didn’t get the role but it shows a complete lack of respect not to inform me when I have made the effort to interview twice. Awful behaviour.

Unprofessional and disorganised

I was initially told that I could get a mortgage with bank of Ireland. After a slower than normal process, I was then told I didn’t qualify after I paid for surveys, legal fees, solicitor fees and broker fees amounting to 3 grand.

Low Standards a sepciality

It is quite an achievement to have only a 1 start rating but Bank of Ireland does it so well!!!. This company is about 15 years behind continental banks. The support office is in India now and National Irish Bank made this same mistake 20 or 30 years again and shut it down. The web site is rubbish and full of bugs, they require you to receive a 6 digit notification now and again but they cannot send it. They then blame you for it. Yet I get notification all the day long from other organisations. Blame the customer but don't improve. Low standards a speciality,

Stop using banks

Don’t really have to say much more . But they the worst . Stay well clear . Have my wages sitting in limbo since Friday . Sitting on Monday and still nothing , claiming now cause it’s bank holiday I will wait until wed for my own money . It’s ludicrous how this is allowed

Probably the worst bank in UK &…

Probably the worst bank in UK & Ireland. Pure theft with mortgage interests payments. The staff think they are in some kind of power seat, When you drill down, they really don't know that much in compliance, regulations and how they got the job...only a leprechaun would know.

Terrible bank

Terrible bank. App terrible, whole banking infrastructure just terrible. Can't send lump sums into your savings account unless its by direct debit or standing order. Tried to open the said savings account and it would have been easier to move gold bars from Russia. Took at least 6 months because of a silly error in the address. Opened up a business account a while back and they sent all my statement correspondence to my companies registered office which is my accountant as opposed to my address. So I was paying my accountant to open letters and forward to me!! My wife has tried to send a payment recently to another BOI customer, a car dealer, and it took 3 days to reach their account! Why this isn't an instant thing with 2 hours is just beyond belief! The only reason we are with BOI is because we were sent there by KBC withdrawing from the market. KBC were brilliant in comparison. Just a terrible bank with little to no efficiency in its operations or transparency. I'll have to strongly consider moving to a fintech once and for all.

Really disappointed with the response…

Really disappointed with the response from this bank. I redeemed my mortgage 11 days early (by mistake) and they have charged me over £1000 which is more than I earn a month and will cause me extreme hardship. The charges they have applied are extortionate and out of proportion for the amount of the mortgage redeemed.

Personal loans department service is shocking!!

Waiting for a Personal Loan to be approved. There is no correspondence from them and when you call them, they are constantly offline. Their customer service is terrible. I would not recommend taking out a loan as they just couldn't be bothered!!
