Prompt & friendly service
Booked august 2023 for June 2024 at same time as booking my holiday. I forgot about it and booked with holiday extras a few days before departure. On comparing pricing after argus sent me a reminder ieI found argus were charging me £100 more for an inferior car! I've contacted them to request a price adjustment and refund but I've received the same standard reply other complaints have received. They really don't care. I wish too late that I had checked out the reviews before booking. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake!
Entgegen häufiger Erfahrungen und Bewertungen im Internet, verlief Abholung und Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs bei uns absolut problemlos. Ja, mir wurde bei Abholung versucht eine zusätzliche Versicherungen zu verkaufen, aber das ist halt der Job der Leute. Nachdem ich mehrfach erklärt hatte, dass ich schon alle Versicherungen habe, bekam ich schließlich das Auto. Dieses hatte zwar viele Kampfspuren, lief aber problemlos und war sehr günstig. Aus meiner Sicht: gerne wieder OK Mobility.
Overall great experience, great car and all went well. The car return was in a great location (at the train terminal--the process seemed a bit confusing but we managed). We rented an Audi which handled the Swiss Alps and the Italian freeways like a dream. Very convenient to start in one country and drop off in another!
I cancelled directly with the company the car was hired with and Argus didn’t accept this. A full refund was issued to argus but this was not passed onto us. Avoid this company as best you can as I don’t understand why there is an issue when they have the refund and no car was used 🤷🏻♀️

Everything was fine
Keep process simple and make it customer focussed . No one want to start a holiday with bad experience at car rental desk. Amount of photos and videos one need to take before picking the car is ridiculous. A minimum charge of 750 euro for a 1 cm scratch as per the rate chart ? Luckily there were no more scratches on my car at the time of returning.
We booked online with a credit card with just my initials e.g. F Brown. The company happily took the booking and my money. On arrival at the hire, they would not accept the credit card as it had my initials only. Argus does tell you this when you book. I appealed and got the stock answer 'I am sorry we cannot provide the solution you were hoping for on this occasion. I can assure you that it was reached in line with the Terms and Conditions of your rental agreement, and I trust that you can understand our position on this matter.' Be warned
Huur nooit via dit bedrijf een auto!! Bij aankomst in Mexico werd ons gezegd dat we persé een extra verzekering moesten nemen omdat we anders de weg niet op mochten. Toevallig had een vriendin van mij haar auto (exact dezelfde boeking) een uur later opgehaald. Zij moest extra bijbetalen omdat haar rijbewijs recent was vernieuwd. Ze hoefde dus blijkbaar niet de verzekering af te sluiten. Het gaat hier om bijna 1000 (!) extra bijbetalen!!! Er werd gezegd dat we moesten betalen, want anders kregen we de auto sowieso niet mee. Dit alles is in samenwerking met Mex rental in Mexico. Achteraf blijkt dus dat ze ons een optionele verzekering hebben aangesmeerd. Dit staat ook in de Spaanse overeenkomst die we kregen. Niet in het Engels dus… Achteraf krijgen we geen enkele steun van Argus. Dus zij zijn wat mij betreft net zou fout als Mex!
Every thing at the car pick up at Dubrovnik airport went very well. Car was as booked. Drop off was equally as smooth with no Q. Good value for money.
Fahrzeug in Fuerteventura Flughafen abgeholt und retourniert. Über Eurocard wurde uns eine extra Versicherung nachträglich abgebucht, obwohl nicht abgeschlossen....Widerspruch zweglos....teurer Mietwagen, fast 220 Euro teurer. Über Check24 gebucht, aber Reklamation dort auch sinnlos. VORSICHT

I'm in the UK but your website keeps insisting I'm in the USA. When I change it to say I'm in the UK, all the prices shoot up. I've used Argus Car Hire for many years but if this keeps happening I won't be using it anymore. Also, why does me living in the UK mean I have to pay a lot more than if I lived in the states? Further to Omnia's reply.... Thank you for responding, I don't think your answer explains why someone living in the UK is charged a lot more than someone living in the States to hire a car in the UK. You didn't offer an explanation for why I had to keep updating my country of residence. That was more of an issue as I kept thinking I'd found a good deal, but I hadn't. If the price is too high I'll just go elsewhere. You need to display the right price first time.

The previous entry was from myself about Argus hire not supplying a car but still charging me. There depts have said I did receive a car, another says they couldn’t provide me with a car, another said I didn’t pass the credit score. I’ve sent all documents in as they requested and yes still they are not accepting my complaint and are refusing to refund me . Awful treatment of customers, I sent the docs to Ibrahims e mail - no reply ‼️ .
