Selling items they don't have in stock

I ordered an item from this organization which mentioned July 10 as delivery - I've just spoken to these people and they have told me they don't have even the item in stock in Victoria so are advertising appliances they don't have and I now don't know when this item will be available or delivered in Victoria - they offered me the same item to be POSTED though I requested my old item of exactly the same product be collected for recycle so how is an Aust Post delivery going to achieve that - now I wait and watch for a "couple" of weeks until the item is in stock in Victoria. Very misleading and poor customer service should have gone retail.

Great to shop & deal with

We have now got several large household white-goods from Appliances Online. Have purchased via the website & on the phone when using their price matching offer. Really excellent to deal with. The delivery service is first rate keeping you up-to-date with the delivery status and arrival date/time. Plus taking away the old one is just great. In one case I had to make a warranty claim - again it was no hassle, excellent to deal with and they sorted the problem out for me. Highly recommended to deal with. We will do so again.

First class service

The entire process for ordering a new washing machine was seamless - from comparing products on the Appliances Online website, to ordering & being able to select a delivery date. Communication at all stages was excellent and the delivery guys were awesome. Polite, efficient, on time and first class service. I can’t fault them. And they happily removed my old machine at no cost.

Delivery service not legendary

Mixed experience. Placed and order which was subsequently cancelled as one product was out of stock. So made two new orders, one for the out of stock item and one for everything else. Two issues then occurred: 1) The out of stock item took 4 months to be delivered and many many follow-up phone calls. 2) The "every thing else" order was delivered on-time to my cabinet maker (i.e. it was a drop ship) For both deliveries, the delivery drivers did not secure a proof-of-delivery. It appears that Appliances Online does not have that capability, yet. This was a major issue for the delivery to the cabinet maker, who lost the shipment. It was resolved through payment dispute and eventually the shipment was found. Took 2 weeks. Would I buy from Appliance Online again, certainly. But with two recommendations: 1) Only order goods from Appliances Online that are in-stock 2) Never ship goods to anywhere but your own address, i.e. no drop ships Service was legendary, but maybe not in a good way

If I could give 0 stars I would

I ordered a cooker & rangehood from Appliances Online on 26 May and was given a delivery date of 11 Aug. 11 weeks seemed like plenty of time to get the items into the country. Renovations & builder's schedule was arranged around this date. Turns out the delivery date was fictional, and no one from AO thought to call or contact me. I am now told the items will perhaps be delivered in October, 2 months after the original date, but I am not confident in this date as the support I have received from AO has been woeful and the story has changed so many times I can no longer trust anything they tell me. My advice to anyone thinking of buying from AO: if their price is best, take it to someone else who has the item in stock and who price matches and buy it from them, not AO.

Appliances Online. Why shop with anyone else?

On 4/9/23 I purchased a Westinghouse front loading washing machine from Appliances Online. From the outset the experience is really good. The company has worked hard to design a very user friendly website. There are many different avenues to hunt down the product you want, like top/front loader, cost, efficiency, specials etc. The machine arrived on the 6th!! Everything is included, apart from a possible need to modify the laundry area. So delivery, installation and removal of the old product is taken care of. Be careful of some other companies. What they'll do is just leave the gigantic cardboard box at your door or your lift πŸ›— entrance and say hooroo! No installation or removal. Get real, right! The delivery guys were great , especially Shane I think, who worked hard to get the machine balanced just right. I've used Appliances Online before and I'll happily use them again.

Stressful and frustrating

I will not going to purchase any products from Applances on line until they update their data system. Customer services informed me they cannot delete old details of customers information. It’s been stressful and very frustrating. They so outdated for modern technology

Appliances Online Does Not Care

The water filter on my brand new fridge was broken by the fridge installers. So no cold water and no ice cubes! It has now been three weeks and nothing has happened. There were a lot of promises made but I have now been asked to 'prove' the broken filter and provide serial number details - all provided weeks ago upon installation. I wonder how long I will need to wait....

Superb customer service

This was my second purchase from Appliances Online and again it was flawless. Customer service was superb as I had bought an incorrect stovetop. There was no issue with getting a refund and purchasing the beautiful Westinghouse Induction cooktop which is a dream. Plus Appliances Online price matched. Love this store as reliable in every way.

Excellent and timely service with very competitive price

We ordered a German brand kitchen sink tap yesterday. The item was delivered within 30 minutes of the specified time today- now that is called service at times when deliveries are still under strain. Not only that Appliance online provided their sweet promise of price matching when asked and on their own surprised us with a refund even after taking the money off us - who would that?? I am very happy and would strongly recommend to go to appliances online for any appliances on their list.
