I have been with anchor since 2017

I have been with anchor since 2017. I recently finished my program 2 years after they had initially said my accounts would be settled. Once my final account was settled, I had about $3800 left over in my account. I was always told this money would be given back. However, I come to find out anchor had taken this money as a ‘service fee’ for the exact amount, to the penny, of my leftover funds. I have called and emailed the only response is “it’s service fee”. I spoke with supervisor Mark who was rude and unhelpful. Let’s not forget that any money saved by their services which was admittedly a lot, I have to pay thousands in taxes for. Also don’t forget that my credit score was decimated for years. From my standpoint this is criminal. Buyer beware!!!! All I want is my left over money!!

I was enrolled in their program…

I was enrolled in their program initially for 48 months. Tack on another 18 months to that and the fact my last draft was supposed to be February 15 yet my checking account was drafted again 2 weeks later. I had to pull my last credit card from the program because I worked with the creditor directly and negotiated a better settlement offer than Anchor Law Firm. Their representatives are liars. I just spoke with James who indicated that unfortunately an extra draft was necessary to make the final payment when in fact it was confirmed when I agreed to the settlement offer my last draft would be February 15 and I would receive a refund of approximately $200 from my savings program account. In looking at my savings account program account it reflects I'm getting a $22 refund. This settlement program is a rip off. Please never do business with Anchor Law Firm. Besides every representative having a different line every time I called, I was also sued for a credit card that was registered in the program. I sent every piece of paper I received from the court but nothing was ever done and my paycheck was garnished weekly for 13 weeks. Anchor Law Firm says they're sorry and here's a 17% refund because the card was removed from the program. Not that Anchor Law Firm ever cared but during the 5-1/2 years, my credit rating was terrible (and still is) and I lost my home. I wish I recorded how many hours of my life were spent calling Anchor Law Firm because they won't call you back. If you write to them they will send you an email directing you to call them. Once they gave me the contact information for my Anchor Law Firm assigned attorney. When I called I was instructed by voicemail to leave a message or text my message. Never spoke with the attorney directly and he mentioned nothing had reached him regarding my account and he referred me back to the customer service telephone number.

Stress Relieved

After of more than a month off due to illness and a set of broken toes I was at a loss . Still not able to go back work yet I was really worried about my next payment , so I had to call in and tell them my problem and talked to Paris . I told her my problem and she helped me relax and was able to stop worrying . Thanks for all the great work .

Paris in Customer Service

The customer service person that I spoke to, Paris, was excellent and provided amazing customer service . I explained my issue, she put me on a brief hold and came back and told me that we could handle the issue . She was very polite and courteous as well as well spoken. I enjoyed my conversation with her as she was bery professional !

Very frustrated!

I have been trying for a few weeks to get my last debt negotiated. I have a negotiator, Brian, and have requested on several occasions that he call me. I have had no luck. I have paid my last payment to Anchor and would like to resolve this last issue before Sept. ends and I have to pay again to keep my Global account open. This is very frustrating!

Thorough and Professional

Nishita (sp?) was patient, professional and thorough. It was the first time in several months that I have called Anchor Law and actually was satisfied with the response!

Was on hold multiple times during a 40"…

Was on hold multiple times during a 40" phone call with no acceptable answers to questions I had re: emails that I received today. Asked to speak to a Supervisor- none available! An absolute horrible experience from day 1 with Anchor Law Firm!!

TERRIBLE!!!! Verging on unethical in my own opinion!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This has been the worst experience! Customer beware. Their estimates of what we would pay over the lifetime of the program were way off! They did NOT deliver what we signed up for and this ended up costing us THOUSANDS!!!!! So if they say you owe "x" amount for so many payments and then all of your accounts would be settled - That's a flat out LIE! We found out the hard way. Paid all of our payments on-time for 4 years and then after the last payment was made told we would need THOUSANDS more to complete and even that was another estimate. RUN!!!!! Anchor reached out to me after I left this review saying they'd have a team member reach out to me so I could reconsider my review. I am done with their unsuccessful program. I have talked to many many people on their team and they were fully aware of how bad their results were. I stand by my review 100%. I don't see the point of dealing with them now, after my dealings with them have finally ended. They should have been working with me as soon as they realized there was a problem. They never offered any solution except for me to pay more money. Now they want a good review. That's just not happening from me. I can't think of a single option that they could come up with at this point that could fix the issue at this point. So unless they have some new amazing information for me that I haven't already discussed, I think frankly it will be a waste of my time. I've already wasted my time with them. I don't however feel that this review was a waste of time as I hope that someone else will be saved this horrible situation.

Horrible Customer Service and representation

My contract ends in September. I have left several messages and have sent emails regarding the finalization of my account and what is to be done about the list of creditors listed in my contract that Anchor Law Firm never addressed. I was previously told 3 different answers by three different people how many were left and have asked on more than one occasion to send me the list of creditors they never addressed and that hasn't happened either. I would say to ANYONE looking for legal services to stay far away from Anchor Law Firm as the customer service is non-existent and they will not give you even satisfactory representation. You WILL NOT get a call back when needed. I have contacted the DCP in AR as I am tired of trying to get their communication. My suggestion, RUN FAST!!!

UPDATED 9-29-20 READ THE STEPS I AM GOING THROUGH, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY MORE MONEY AFTER THE PROGRAM ENDS

I said I would update as I went so here is the latest. 1. The original agreement was if I paid Anchor $515.00 a month for 3 years ( $18,540) my debt from 4 credit cards which totaled ($24,650) would be taken care of. 2. On 7/18/18 they missed a court date which allowed my account to be levied for roughly $1,000 plus over draft fees,(they did not pay me back) 3. My last payment of $515.00 is due Oct 2020. As of that time only 2 of the 4 creditors have been paid and there is roughly $1,500 in the program after they took their cut. 4. On 9-1-20 they settled with creditor 3 of 4 however there is not nearly enough money in the program. So starting Nov 2020 (the month after what was suppose to pay my last payment) I now have to pay an additional $697.00 a month directly to that creditor until May 2021. 5. In the end not only did I destroy my credit score, I will be paying more then the $24,650 original total. So, I have to ask what happened to the originally agreement where if you pay $18,540 (3 years at $515 a month). Why am I now paying more then what the original total was? Why was this never brought up in the beginning?

A very helpful customer service agent

This is a review of my experience this morning with the customer service agent who assisted me. Unfortunately, I don’t remember her name. My experiences have not always been helpful. However, this agent went out of her way to resolve the problem. She was helpful and extremely courteous and a pleasure to deal with.
