I have been with anchor since 2017

I have been with anchor since 2017. I recently finished my program 2 years after they had initially said my accounts would be settled. Once my final account was settled, I had about $3800 left over in my account. I was always told this money would be given back. However, I come to find out anchor had taken this money as a ‘service fee’ for the exact amount, to the penny, of my leftover funds. I have called and emailed the only response is “it’s service fee”. I spoke with supervisor Mark who was rude and unhelpful. Let’s not forget that any money saved by their services which was admittedly a lot, I have to pay thousands in taxes for. Also don’t forget that my credit score was decimated for years. From my standpoint this is criminal. Buyer beware!!!! All I want is my left over money!!

I was enrolled in their program…

I was enrolled in their program initially for 48 months. Tack on another 18 months to that and the fact my last draft was supposed to be February 15 yet my checking account was drafted again 2 weeks later. I had to pull my last credit card from the program because I worked with the creditor directly and negotiated a better settlement offer than Anchor Law Firm. Their representatives are liars. I just spoke with James who indicated that unfortunately an extra draft was necessary to make the final payment when in fact it was confirmed when I agreed to the settlement offer my last draft would be February 15 and I would receive a refund of approximately $200 from my savings program account. In looking at my savings account program account it reflects I'm getting a $22 refund. This settlement program is a rip off. Please never do business with Anchor Law Firm. Besides every representative having a different line every time I called, I was also sued for a credit card that was registered in the program. I sent every piece of paper I received from the court but nothing was ever done and my paycheck was garnished weekly for 13 weeks. Anchor Law Firm says they're sorry and here's a 17% refund because the card was removed from the program. Not that Anchor Law Firm ever cared but during the 5-1/2 years, my credit rating was terrible (and still is) and I lost my home. I wish I recorded how many hours of my life were spent calling Anchor Law Firm because they won't call you back. If you write to them they will send you an email directing you to call them. Once they gave me the contact information for my Anchor Law Firm assigned attorney. When I called I was instructed by voicemail to leave a message or text my message. Never spoke with the attorney directly and he mentioned nothing had reached him regarding my account and he referred me back to the customer service telephone number.

So disappointing

I spend a lot of time contacting Anchor Law Firm, too much in fact. I called with specific questions which were not answered. I was also told I wasn't allowing the representative to speak and finish a sentence. Who says that in a customer service role? No one should. After I stated my question was not answered I was laughed at by the representative and I informed her it wasn't funny and inappropriate to laugh at me. She said she was going to put me on a brief hold but at that point I was frustrated, insulted and disconnected from the call. Probably not the best time to request I complete a survey.

Appreciative To Anchor Law Firm As Always

Since I have been nearer to the end of my consolidation and December 2020 was the final date for my draft withdrawal, my earlier monthly check-up calls have gone bimonthly. This will likely be one of my final check-ins and I was thrilled that I had a chance to speak to Kyanah, a representative for Anchor. We had a great conversation, as she reached out to my coordinator, reviewed my account, and congratulated me on hanging in there for the long haul. It was lovely discussing matters, not only on a business level but knowing that - through her words - she was happy for my accomplishment because this a major achievement in my life. Kyanah was professional but kind and it was a delight talking to her. Once again, it made me realize that going with Anchor Law Firm a few years ago was the right choice when they have employees like her working for them.

Help with loan clarifications

I called to check on delaying my payment by a few days, and to check on my payments. The person I spoke to was very friendly and very helpful. She explained the process for checking to get approval for the delayed payment. Explained the steps and that she would have to take a verbal statement from me that this is what I wanted to do. She then was very helpful in going over my account, explaining my loans being paid off right now and the 2 future ones still to go. It really helped put me at ease, and made me feel better and that I was being taken care of.

Terrible, SCAM company. Read The Reviews

Well if you want fees after fees and no one who can answer a question without escalating it to a manager who then never calls you back, this is the place for you

I called this afternoon to explore…reducing my monthly draft

I called this afternoon to explore reducing my monthly draft. The young lady who answered the phone was extremely professional, polite, engaging in conversation and knowledgeable regarding her job!!! She (and I’m terribly sorry I don’t remember her name), was able to answer all of my questions and treated me like I was the most important person in the world. At the end all was handled to my satisfaction. I’ve been dealing with Anchor for a little over 3 years and this was another great experience. This young lady represents Anchor at the highest levels. She deserves a raise. Cheers

I was threatened in dec 2019 by one of…

I was threatened in dec 2019 by one of my creditors to take me to court. You were handling my account at that point for 3 YEARS yet BJs account and Citi bank was never settled over 3 Years. So this year 2020 I get another notice from BJs taking me to court in Dec 2020. Again you had one more year now we are talking Four years to settle this and the Citi bank. When I originally signed into this program it was for only 3years, now without me knowing I am at four years. I have been calling on Oct 15, sent in via email the scanned court documents. You would think I would get a reply. So I called since no one called me on November 2, that would be over two weeks later and spoke to a Seri Burton on 11/2. She looked at the accounts that have not been settled, and said she would look into it and get back to me. So today on 11/18 I get a message from George Allan to call, I did and the person read a note from George Allan instead of putting me through to talk to him directly. At one point Brian who I called in October, asked me for a number for Citi bank as it was busy and he did not want to remain on the line with Citi bank. Why the hell would I have the number? That is not good service. I have over 5 thousand dollars in my account and will be adding another 1000 dollars Dec 1 which is not that far away. Your Service is far from Good not even fair.

David was the absolute best person at Anchor

David was the absolute best person I have spoken to at your company. He explained everything that is happening with my account in great detail and everything he told me made 100% sense. In the past when I have called, I have been given the run around and, when I was told someone would call me back, it never happened. It was extremely refreshing to get someone on the phone like David!

Any lawyer available?

We have two business days before the scheduled trial date, but I have yet to hear from Anchor or any litigator. I am told that I'll get a call back, but never do. This is disappointing beyond words.
