Seemed like a canned analysis. Names popping up, however, are doors to be opened, questions to be answered. I have additional information, such as when a marriage shows only one child. I know of addi... See more
Learning my history
Since 2016 I have worked with Ancestry.com at the library and at home using my subscription with Ancestry. It seems like the information is changing as I become more skillful at my searches. Some information is lost and I could never find it again such as the name of a slave ship. If I had to start over again, I would focus on one side of my family which was my original desire. I have printed pages of stuff and need a system for filing the results of my memory and not have to depend on my faulty memory.
it linked me to unknown relatives in my mother's family and soon hopefully it will be able to clear up some hidden truths within my family
It’s a shame that you have to keep adding subscriptions to your account to get specific information… It should be a one time fee and that should be enough…
Sent in saliva sample and eventually got an email saying the results are in and the link sent me to my account with no results. Seems like a scam!!
Very accurate and good experience
Interesting and I concur with a lot of the origin information. I'm particularly interested in my Spanish ancestry as the family was traced backed to Caceres, Spain and the Trujillo Castille (used in Game Of Thrones, Season 7). However; Traits are suspicious as to my artistic endeavors are many and long-term: mastering percussion, drawing, acrylic painting of landscapes, cartooning, and creative writing to the point of teachers and college instructors directing me to pursue a career in writing. Not Creative or Artistic. Hmmm? 🤔
my access is denied into my own results. a lot of money wasted for nothing.
Not enough information without paying for each result
Very little available for free, and monthly subscription price for basic plan increased from $16.50 to $21.99 after ending trial period. Even with that, many services were unavailable without paying an even higher monthly fee. At a minimum, consistent pricing would be nice.
Quick turnaround time with results. Not liking extra charges for researching additional information.
The first test was unsuccessful and AncestryDNA was kind enough to send a replacement test. This test was done with successful results. Thankyou
I am very disappointed. I've got information I knew myself before. Nothing new.
It was a complete bust. I was sent a message stating that my information was available for viewing and given a hot link, which I used. I hit the button to proceed and was denied entry to the site. No information as to what was wrong was provided.
As quick as I got my dna results I found my adopted sister in a matter of days and now I found out I have a brother too WOW! I did have a search angel with 20 yrs of experience helping me to make sure they were a brother and sister. I could not b more thrilled. Thank u Ancestry
Now I need a private detective to find my birth family 🙄
Wait time for DNA results felt a tad long but genuinely enjoyed the process and finding out where my family came from.
Gayet bilimsel ve mantıklı çalışıyorsunuz !! Atalarımın büyük çoğunluğu Kıbrıs adasındandı !! Çıkan sonuçlar bunu gayet güzel göstermiş !! Sizi tebrik etmek istiyorum !! Sonsuz teşekkürlerimle sizlere iyi çalışmalar dilerim !!
Nothing new or exciting. not specific enough, I did not connect with other family members, did not reveal any interesting traits. The ones that are actually revealed are mostly incorrect.
Everything about it is great. Building the tree and DNA testing was super easy and timely turn around. I'm still build my tree and now that the DNA is back it's opened more avenues. I amazed at the amount information that is available on ancestors as well as pulling information from others who have done this within the family.
