Review bombed, here is why. Originally I loved the service. However, I accidentally left a $70 subscription active. This morning, August 8th, 2025, I was charged for said subscription. I went in immed... See more

You bother me asking me to buy your sales! Stop it! I bought what I want. That is sufficient! Quit asking me to but your stuff! I don’t even know if I like what I bought already!
It is very annoying to continually be asked to spend more money. Either you join for a monthly fee or be content with the limited amount of information supplied for the money already spent. Most of the information offered is for immediately family members which most families already know. I am very disappointed that I chose your company.
My experience is ongoing and I found it to be very informative with lots of documentation to review and some useful migration patterns to help you track your ancestors paths. I will continue explore details provided over time and use it to paint the best picture of my ancestors movement I can.
Your not gonna find your long lost parents, only people that match with ur family and ancestors
I didnt like it too much money for saying almost nothing !
Who’s ever filling in the information should get the name spelled correctly. Ridiculous. They’ve got in the same information. They have Rethwell but on the tombstone it says RETHWILL. Which is the correct spelling because that is what’s on my birth certificate.
I really wish your company didn't make us pay more to see our own family. That's terrible for people living on social security. And I was hoping to get my results in the mail, in full details. Like if I had Native American in me or African American in me like my Grandparents said. This site says European pretty much. Do better! Stop making us pay more than the original cost. These extra charges are nonsense. But if you don't pay you don't get to see. Shame on this company. You have literally made me cry! I cant afford all these extra fees, and subscriptions. 😭
It’s great to see how far my dna goes and the breakdown of it and to be able to connect to family members. But it’s hard to know how to connect them to who and how. I was able to see who is maternal and who is paternal
What do you mean, what went wrong this time? I want to leave an honest review, and Trust Pilot's computer needs to be updated. As for Ancestry; I have paid over $130 to get nothing. I do NOT care about my father's family; I know from whence they came. I wanted to know about my Mom's side of the family and you have NOTHING. Waste of money.
Did not get the results expected guess it is because it is Europe
It took so long to process my DNA, people in my family sent their kit in weeks after mine and got their info well before me. I didn’t choose ancestry, other members of my family did, so far not happy.
It was good for the most part
I took the DNA test just to see where my ancestors were from since I'd heard rumors as a child. My ancestry was, largely, what I was told growing up and I'm SO proud of my ancestry!! 10/10 experience.
I was pleased to get my DNA results. After paying $100, I was annoyed at being tweaked to pay more for "hints" and other services.
Started today. Tried to start a tree. Let me enter me, my wife, parents, father's parents, mother's father, then would not let me enter anyone else.
Just felt there would be more information I found about myself. Didn't find out anything yet I don't know much about my family.
Nothing really more than I knew already. Over priced service with tons of additional fees.
I was able to find my biological father!
I rated it a 4 because I think Ancestry could do more to help people with sight or eye issues. For example, soothing background color instead of white and dark gray. I soothing lavender or some such. Also, I think that Ancestry could help with color coding the families. For example, what would be helpful is to all use to color code the each family in the tree view. I that it would make it easier for me to visualizing the flow of the family tree by color coding the square for each of my great grand parents then following the colors back in time.
