Amber electric have upped my usage…

Amber electric have upped my usage charge by 3 times my original costing. Doubling my previous bill. I work full time hardly home with 2 people in the house. When asked why it is so high. They said I used more that month. Not double the amount. I will not use them again it recommend them.

The best electricity retailer I have had for 20 years

This is a great company if you use lots of electricity. They give you warnings when the price is expensive so you can cut back your usage.The rest of the day your power is less then half the price of other power companies.As they price power on how much the are charged,not what they can get away with like other companies.They also send you details in the beginning of each season on their maximum charge related to peak pricing.They also have an app that shows how much power you are using at anytime and how much solar is going back into the grid. When you have any questions they get back to you quickly. Amber is the best electricity supplier I have had in the last 20 years.

Outstanding product

Outstanding product. We get our electricity at cheaper price and best of all get great export prices. Customer service has been amazing, explaining each questions answer clearly with the assistance to talk us through what we needed to do. Well done guys

A breath of fresh air

A breath of fresh air, with a company that is allowing solar and battery installers to be rewarded for their investment. Other companies, have reduced solar input to 3 cents per kw, an insult. Looking forward to a mutually rewarding experience, where we are rewarded for our investment.

Worst customer service

Worst customer service. Been two months since signing up - zero communication in the meantime. When I called them they didn’t seem to have any idea other than they are having system issues. This doesn’t stop them however from communicating to customers which they don’t do

I have been with Amber in past but had…

I have been with Amber in past but had to change because I was unable cut consumption during power spikes but with battery and Amber SmartShift I pay about 5% of what I was paying and Amber maximizes efficiency of battery - highest endorsement 😀

Exceptional Performance

This is my third Amber installation, they are improving greatly with each install. The last one took only three days. Over five years with Amber, we have not had an electricity bill and have been refunded approximately $4000.00. As they develop the systems, I would expect improved performance as the retail price of electricity continues ever upwards.

LOVE Amber!

LOVE Amber! A whole new world for solar + battery households. You get to see live wholesale import and export prices via the Amber App that update every 5 minutes. No more getting ripped off by huge energy retailers! When export (selling) prices are low, use your solar and battery and when they go up, you can manually dispatch power to the grid, make some $s AND help stabilise the grid at the same time. If you don’t want to be so actively involved, you can just let the automated ‘SmartShift’ in the App handle it for you. Magic! We are blown away. Thanks Amber!! 🌟☀️

Winter with a battery seems to be…

Winter with a battery seems to be working out just fine, certainly wouldn't be fun without one. We continue to believe Amber provides a product which suits our needs. We also appreciate the challenges that you are presented with so many varied systems to integrate with. We do hope one day Amber will be able to successfully integrate our two inverters into a seamless service. Until then, we believe it is manageable having manual control, although SmartShift is on, it doesn't take any action which in some ways may be preferable, as previously when it did, there were many instances where it acted to our detriment. Another day of cloud and rain, time to charge the battery whilst the electricity is cheap.

Unnecessarily anxious was I

I did have some trepidation about how such a major project as installing a solar battery and switching to a new energy provider would go. However, onboarding could not have been easier and every question seems to have been anticipated with detailed emails explaining every step and answering every question. An excellent app and a faultless experience.

A+++

Simple on boarding. Smart shift 95% of the time does what it says it’s going to do and does it well. Technical support emails are answered within a few days with a satisfactory result. The only thing I would say is do your homework if you plan to join Amber, you want the right amount of solar panels the correct brand of inverter for solar curtailment, and the correct matching batteries

I was told this is the best electricity…

I was told this is the best electricity company if you have solar panels. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the app is easy to use. you get emails letting you know the price is spiking and to try to reduce your usage. it is great for me as I have insomnia and only sleep 1-3 hours a night so I do my laundry and dishes when most people are asleep and it has made a difference to my bill.

Amber Smart

We've been with Amber Electric for several years now and have been happy with their service. More recently, we registered with their Amber Smart option and I find this more difficult to understand. Trying to discuss this by email is slow whereas a phone call and chat would have resolved things more quickly.
