Utterly useless and ridiculous ticket service. Having to write a formal letter to transfer tickets to a friend because they don’t have a system that is up to date enough.
I purchased a ticket for an event at Thekla nightclub from a re-seller. The ticket looked suspicious so I contacted the club, who asked me to check with their ticket distributor Alt Tickets (Alt tickets logo is printed on the ticket). Alt Tickets refused to help me in any way and their staff was particularly rude in the process of telling me.
I'm going to avoid events when they guys are involved in the future!
it's just absurd that they charge £5.20 booking fee PER TICKET and it's not refundable after event cancellation. £21 lost for an event cancelled by the organisation.
Sold us tickets for seats. Just before the show informed us it had changed to all standing. We then had a protracted exchange with them because we’re physically unable to stand for that long. They referred us to the venue, who referred us to alt tickets, who referred us to the “promoter” (who turned out to share the alt tickets office)... no one took responsibility, and it took us right up to the day before the show to get any assurance they’d actually provide seats. By then we had no confidence in their assurances and opted not to risk the journey. Needless to say there was no refund for their mis-selling and lack of accessibility policy, and their only response was that we should trust them. Fat chance of that, after our experience. I wouldn’t buy tickets from them even if they paid me.
I recently purchased a ticket from alt.tickets for an event that was listed as “sold out” by other ticket vendors. As I was not familiar with the company, I was naturally a bit wary at first, but decided to give it a go. I am so glad I did.
I was pleasantly surprised by the speedy postal delivery, and the fact it was a physical paper ticket. After the concert, I even managed to get the band members to sign the ticket as a souvenir.
Result: One very happy customer.
My boyfriend an I lost our tickets to see our favourite band on the day of the show. We were absolutely gutted but we emailed alt tickets and they got back to us within 10 minutes saying they'd arrange new tickets for us to pick up at the venue. So helpful.
Bought x2 Ed Sheeran tickets in september, realised i needed the £165 for cost of moving in november due to fleeing domestic violence put them back up fpr resale, resold today 12/12/2018 and have been told wont get refunded untill after the event in august 2019! I wouldnt of resold them unless i knew! Nothing in terms and conditions just written in tiny small print on the screen of confirming resale! No care or compassion when dealing with me Daniel from customer services extremly rude and no help with the matter. Trading standards have agreed to take the matter into their hands if full refund or reimbursed tickets are not sorted in the next 7 days.
Me and my family ordered a 4 pack of tickets to the Colorado state fair. They never took the money out of our account and so we assumed the charge didn’t go through so we went and bought tickets at the door. Nearly a month later the charge came out of our account sending our account into the negative. We called and asked what happened and were told there was a machine error and because of it they would refund our money. They never did. Three weeks later I called back and was told they didn’t owe us any money despite the fact that someone had already apologized and told us they would do a refund. Unprofessional, clumsy, liars!
The concert had sold out months ago but spotted tickets 2 days before on alt.tickets bought them at face value and they where at the box office when I arrived absolute bargain and no problem at all
