The staff at the Acorn Rainham branch…

The staff at the Acorn Rainham branch are a credit to the sector, from our initial talks with Kieran through to Mark and Remmi when completing. They all went above and beyond to make sure we was fully satisfied and always kept us updated. In this process we had dealt with several estate agents and by far Acorn Rainham were the best. If we were to need an estate agent again. Acorn Rainham would be our top choice and would highly recommend them. Well done Mark, Kieran and Remmi Thankyou so much Lee & Alice

Great experience

I have dealt with multiple estate agents in the past, and I found the staff at Acorn Rainham branch exceptional. Mark and Kieran were professional as well as very friendly and easy to get on with. They kept me informed the whole time, which other agents have not. I would use them again in the future

I had an excellent experience with…

I had an excellent experience with Acorn Real Estate Group, and I want to especially thank Mark, Kieran, and Remmi for their outstanding support throughout the process. From start to finish — and particularly up to the exchange of contracts — their professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication were second to none. They kept me well-informed at every stage, provided honest and clear advice, and were always available to answer my questions promptly. It’s rare to find a team so committed to client satisfaction. Thanks to their hard work, the process was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Acorn and this fantastic team for anyone looking for reliable and genuinely supportive estate agents.

Absolutely useless

I should have read the reviews before using acorn. Things started off well but with the last few months have gone down hill fast to the point I find myself in financial difficulty & risk being evected due to Acorn initially taking to long deal with paperwork therefore my move in date have to be moved 2 or 3 times, Acorn have 0 communication skills despite the fact I've tried to explain the situation they don't care. Even after explaining i still get calls & emails from the same person every month asking about rent & when I explain the situation AGAIN to that SAME PERSON I'm made to feel it's all my fault even though Acon have put me in financial difficulty I'm still trying my best to keep on top of the rent. No one at Acon have asked how can they help to relive some off the pressure off my shoulders they just say next month you'll have have pay more to try & catch up which has now got me having sleepless nights & anxiety with worry. I wish I had never used your company & will never ever use them again I'd rather live on the streets then come to this lot again. Avoid this lot at all cost they promise you everything but will give you nothing but stress, anxiety, sleepless nights, depression.

Horrible experience

We wanted to buy the home on Melrose Close Lee, which is marketed by Acorn, Grove Park. We have tried to do it from the beginning of January till the end of June. We did all our documents to April, and the long three months manager from Acorn could not connect with householders to understand their preferable date of the deal. It was a horrible time of my life when we are only waiting and calling to Acorn. Finely, householders' solicitors said to us that householders were being to looking for a house for themself (chain). But our manager in Acorn said during the first showing of the house, that there was no chain. After 6 months of waiting and spend a lot of time and money, we closed our proposal to the house. And I thinking that it's unprofessional if the manager of the estate agency could not connect with the householders for 3 months and will know about the chain from buyers.

Unprofessional, Don't care, Wouldn't return our deposit.

Awful experience from start to finish. All agents we dealt with were unprofessional, from taking weeks to arrange contractors to fix things (at one point we were washing dishes in the bath for a week following a blocked pipe in the kitchen) to making and cancelling flat viewings last minute, not to mention generally unprofessional emails - taking way too long to reply, rushed replies with spelling mistakes, and no punctuation. However, all this I can deal with and unfortunately expect from agents in London. The reason for this review is our recent experience trying to get our deposit money back. Acorn took 31 business days to return this - rather than the pre-contracted 10 - and only after dozens of emails and even a phone call when four emails in succession had been ignored. I don't believe we would have gotten our money back if we had not chased this for the past six weeks. We did not receive to all back however, Acorn have kept an amount to cover some damage incurred by the contractor arranged to fix the aforementioned blocked pipe. They were unable to provide us with the contractors report, so are blaming the industrial damage on us. I wouldn't rent from them again if there were no other options.

Great agents, flawless service and assistance

We recently rented a property through Acorn. Thanks to James Keen, the process was extremely simple and we could not have asked James to do anything more for us. Unfortunately we had some admin issues, but James was with us at every step and was more than accommodating. We would not hesitate to recommend Acorn or James.

Grazie, Acorn and Ruggero!

My experience with Acorn was seamless from start to finish. Ruggero expertly handled all my enquiries and smoothened the process with the referencing company. Whenever I had a question or a problem, I called him directly and he always solved it. He was upfront and honest, and I never felt pressured into renting -- it was my own choice. When my old landlord ignored my request for a reference, Ruggero chased it up and put my mind completely at ease. I appreciated his help greatly and told him as much so I'll say it again: grazie mille, Ruggero. I hope you get to put your feet up too : )

We had a fantastic service from Jack Mallon from the Peckham office showing us 2 properties in the area. Jack went out of his way to explain and answer all we needed to know about the properties and the area. He understood very well the type of properties we are looking for and was really willing to help. We were very impressed with his skills, knowledge and politeness. Me and my partner agree that Jack is by far the best estate agent we encountered.

Great and efficient experience

I am a teacher and was looking to rent near my school so I was quite anxious to find a place quickly. The first part of the day was disheartening and unsuccessful however at my first viewing with Acorn I met Jack who rapidly understood what I needed and instantly sorted this out for me via information and a viewing of the property I needed. Jack communicated very clearly, consistently and made this whole process efficient. I am extremely happy to be in the property and can wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you.

Not impressed with Acorn East Dulwich

Not impressed with Acorn East Dulwich, several elements why I would not recommend them. Mainly their lack of communication. The first thing they should ask, is the guarantor a home owner and inform the landlord that it is a multiple household application (HMO). Neither of these were asked and now 4 students who were due to move in today have to start again.

Hugely let down by Acorn

I will be avoiding this company in the future. We used the east dulwich branch, and were told multiple times we would be able to move in on the 28th. We put down a holding deposit and signed an initial agreement stating the ‘unconfirmed’ date was the 28th. We booked and made plans around this date, as it was due to be happening in a few days. Only a few days before the due date, we received a document mentioning the move in date was now the 31st- never were we contacted directly by the company to inform us of this change. Enquiring about this, we were told there is nothing they can do, and ‘we hope this won’t be a problem.’ We also were not informed until long after all submitting our guarantor documents that the guarantor had to be a home owner. This would apparently cause delays. Upon getting a new, home owning guarantor, we were told that their documents didn’t come through because there was no subject in the email. This could cause further delays. In the document received 4 days before the 28th, it stated all payments must be made five working days before moving in. We were never informed of this. And we were unable to make any payments until Acorn had done everything they needed to do on their end. Out of our control. Finally, we were then informed 2 days before our initial move in date that the landlord decided it would be too expensive and take too long to fix up the apartment, and our offer was thus rejected. However, the listing is now back up on the website, apparently available now, for £100 less than we offered. Very strange and a HUGE let down.

I thought renting through a well known agent Would give me some sort of security how wrong I was I would like to say that Harry from Swanley couldn’t do enough to help but Jamie on the other hand ignored and never returned calls even tho I have a serious damp and vermin issue I am outraged of how my situation is being handled and tell people to avoid acorns if this is how managers act
