In this process we had dealt with several estate agents and by far Acorn Rainham were the best.
If we were to need an estate agent again. Acorn Rainham would be our top choice and would highly recommend them.

I would like to thank Kelly and her team at Acorn estate agents for all their hard work. My mother-in-law’s retirement flat had proved to hard to sell due to the age restrictions on retirement flats, and the fact that there are so many choices of retirement flats on the market in our area. She certainly had her work cut out for her!
Kelly always stayed in touch and kept us up to date on all the viewings they had of the flat and the feedback they received back. If Kelly wasn’t available when I called the office, someone always tried to deal with my query, or if they couldn’t help got Kelly to call back when she was available.
She would certainly be the first person I went if I needed to sell my property.

We had a great experience with Acorn after having not such a good experience with another estate agent. They were on the ball with the local market, priced the house correctly and actually sold the house three times due to the rise in interest rates and buyers having their mortgage offers pulled. We were kept informed of what was happening and Amelia and Katlyn were excellent and reassuring at a very stressful time. We have recommended them to neighbours who have also used them and sold after being let down by another agent. Excellent service.
We have just finalised the sale of our late Mother's house. We used Acorns Dartford office and dealt with Amelia Giles, who was an absolute star. She was very polite and professional and kept us completely up to date with everything, also keeping our buyers onside, considering probate took 22weeks to come through. I'm sure the buyer would have pulled out of the purchase had Amelia not assured them that everything would work out fine. The whole process has been very stressful, but we are glad we chose Acorn to deal with it, so thanks to Amelia & Richard for easing us through it.

We recently contacted Acorn regarding a flat for rent in Tamworth Place, Croydon. From the beginning we told the agent that we were family (2nd cousins). We arranged the viewing, when we arrived they didn’t have the keys to the flat so we rearranged to the following business day and they cancelled again as they didn’t have the key.
Since we liked the building, we submitted our offer after the letting negotiator suggested that the landlord was offering discounts to most tenants. Next minute, the landlord rejected it due to the cost (bearing in mind it was the same reduction given to everyone else but whatever, that’s fair enough). Next minute, the landlord said he doesn’t allow HMOs, at this point we had already made it clear that we’re family and if that’s the case they didn’t specify it in the property advertisement. We thought that either the landlord or the agency were making excuse after excuse to stop us from renting that place. We cleared it again, confimed we’re family and didn’t hear back from them at all.
I called again, spoke to a senior lettings negotiator who advised they need evidence that we’re family such as a DNA test or our birth certificates to prove we have the same surnames. Obviously being second cousins we won’t have the same surname, so I offered to write a binding document which they refused because they wanted our parent’s birth certificates (bearing in mind we’re not underage and we’re NHS nurses). Under GDPR, it’s not legal to ask for someone else’s data without their consent especially without telling us how you’ll handle that data.
It’s very clear they didn’t want to rent to black Spanish people but what do you expect if your property is in Croydon, Acorn could have been honest about the situation instead of running us around for a almost a week and to be honest they shouldn’t be taking on racist landlords with ther gentrification plans. Integrity over money. Safe to say we won’t ever deal with them again.
