Liz Tyrell is so very personable, professional and helpful!!!!!!! She is the best !!!!!
So far, my experience with ACIS has been really smooth and very personal. thanks.
ACIS is the most attentive and knowledgeable travel company I have ever worked with. I'm a Spanish teacher who enjoys travelling with students and their families, and I wouldn't go with any other company. Many of my colleagues have said the same. Unlike some other travel companies, ACIS takes care of every detail of your trip from start to finish, and I've always been pleased with the tour managers, tour guides, hotels, bus drivers, food, . . . really everything. They also worked with every traveller who had to cancel during Covid to ensure that families received all of their money back. ACIS is truly the best company to use when traveling with students.
Solid Friendly Service
One of your refund checks bounced. It’s been three days. I can’t get anyone to call me after several requests. This matter should not be handled via chat or email. I have left several voicemails, still no return call. You keep saying its my bank . I sent you the account information where it CLEARLY STATE CHECK RETURN. IT BOUNCED..I NEED ALL OF MY MONEY BACK NOW!!!
I have been leading groups with ACIS since the 1980’s. Each year I have been amazed by how the company uses group leader suggestions to improve experiences. They have been able to optimize each tour so as to hit every mark. I know it is meaningful since I have many many students and adults travel with me over and over. I have a few that have taken at least 5 trips. After a two year absence from travel, I am now filling a group for 2022. I can’t wait to travel with ACIS again. You have changed my life and my participants lives for ever.
ACIS is peerless in the student travel industry, and I won't travel with any other company. From incomparable service and support to excellent accommodations and travel options, everything with ACIS is top quality.
Thanks for booking our family flights to Albania. We had a wonderful trip. We got home a over 24 hrs late due to flights being canceled but we understand that is happening a lot due to COVID. Thanks.
I have been traveling with ACIS since 1982 and have never been disappointed. From the time of planning and organizing my trip to the end of the trip, the team at ACIS has been exceptional. I highly recommend this company for not only monetary value but also for educational value.
Rescheduling our trip was a breeze! ACIS was so flexible about changing our dates, and let us wait up to the very last second to make our final decision about postponing. I am ALWAYS impressed by the swift communication by our trip coordinator, Jeannie Page, and she and the company work so hard to make the process as streamlined as possible. I am constantly recommending ACIS to my colleagues as the best educational travel company, I cannot stress enough how professional and knowledgeable they are. This pandemic messed up three of my personal trips scheduled for 2020, but working with ACIS for my student trips was easy as can be. I cannot recommend this company enough!
Since I was a middle schooler myself, I’ve had the privilege of traveling with ACIS. Now as a teacher, and with the help of ACIS, I’ve had the opportunity to introduce my own students to the transformative nature of travel. As someone who has traveled far, wide, and often I can attest to the incredible and unparalleled opportunities that ACIS provides. Not only are their trips carefully crafted to give participants a well-rounded education of culture, history, and appreciation of the environment, they do so with human values at the center.
Cara Solle has been extremely helpful navigating this past year and a half as we made decisions regarding the summer 2021 trip. I know we lost some participants, but I am hopeful to gain some more when school resumes in person in the fall for our new departure in summer of 2022.
My daughter and I paid for a trip for Europe trip for March 2020 Spring Break Week and due to Covid, it was postponed. March was when it all fell apart in the U.S. with Covid. Fast forward to today, our Europe trip was rescheduled for June 2021 and was cancelled /postponed since Europe is closed till after July? ACIS offered us refund with $1000 in the form of a voucher( enhanced refund policy). I understand the issue of having to reschedule, but why would you give me a voucher. My daughter graduated high school last week? WE can go in 2022 or 2023. Meanwhile you held $8000 for little bit more than a year, kept $2000 for a trip I don't want a voucher I said. They sent me a voucher. Why? The issue is not the cancellations, the issue is their business practices are just wrong. I have requested to speak to a manager, a supervisor but no one has called me. Instead I receive an email with the same beginning line, " I understand your frustration," I am out $2000. Covid is a unique situation and merits an exception. I am so disappointed in how this issue is being handled. I don't doubt that they provide an excellent travel experience however, I feel like ACIS has taken advantage of the situation. I have been victimized.
The multiple times I've traveled through ACIS were exceptional experiences from start to finish. I have traveled with other companies, but will never again. The service is outstanding and the people are responsive and delightful!
I have used ACIS for 8 of my nine overseas trips. They have listened to my requests and accommodated me without fail, offered private tour buses for my groups (usually we have about 25 students per group), and we have always had top notch hotels and food offerings at each location we have toured. The tour managers have been super knowledgeable, offered hints and suggestions whenever time permitted adding something in, and have been uniformly FANTASTIC!
Traveling with ACIS combines learning, adventure, and fun. We have had great experiences on all 14 student trips to England, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Japan, and Australia. The tour managers know their way around each destination, teach us about the history and culture of each site, and they know how to have fun with my students. I also love the cultural activities that we do (making pizza, painting ceramics) that give my kids a chance to physically connect with the places we visit. When challenges come up, ACIS has my back. That's why I can't wait for our next trips to Italy and Iceland next year!
ACIS always, always, always delivers a top-quality product with top-quality service. I cannot recommend them enough for educational travel. Whether your are a new traveler or highly experienced, they will make your trip accessible, exciting, and as flawless as possible.
The true test of company's ethical business practices comes when times are tough. Its been tough for the travel industry I realize but the business practices of ACIS are downright appalling. I have twin daughters both booked on different European trips for last summer. Cancelled due to COVID and extended to this summer which also cancelled. My one daughter decided in December 2020 to transfer her $200 trip deposit to her sisters trip. They demanded an additional $295 stating that was the minimum they could accept for the other trip. I reluctantly deposited the additional money. 2 months later I had to cancel and they kept $350 of the deposit. So crappy of them to force the deposit of additional funds then keep more than half less than 2 months later. Clearly they are hurting for money but not the way to handle it. its just a money grab. In addition, when the teacher cancelled the entire trip, they took 30+ days to refund the money and then sent a check made out to my daughter. What a rigmarole to get the check deposited into the rightful account. This company could easily implement refunds via ACH and wouldn't cost them a dime. Although they wouldn't get the float of the funds for which they clearly are banking on. Such a poor business practice. They demand the client provide bank info to pull trip funds but then they send checks for refunds - that's warped ! When asked for their Presidents name and contact info - they refused - multiple times. They kept telling to email the general account and it would directed to the supervisor. Why would they blatantly refuse to provide such basic info - the President needs to be aware of what's going on. This company may lead nice trips but their business practices and customer service is sorely lacking. I have written a similar email to our school board leadership to share my experience which seems to be the experience of many who Ive spoken with as well. Perhaps a new travel partner should be chosen that has a better appreciation for updated cash management and customer service
Our school has traveled with ACIS for over 20 years. We continue to use them because they understand the unique idea of "Educational Travel". They help our students understand the context where history happens and the culture that these places provide. They are professional, they love working with kids and they take care of the details so we can just enjoy and learn. I wouldn't travel with anyone else.
