I’m Keith I’ve been training with Access Training since February 2024 due to being at risk of redundancy with Tata Steel at Port Talbot, following their professional electrical course. I have had a positive experience with Access, going through my core electrical training with a mixture of webinars for theory and in person practical training at their flagship Cardiff centre. Zakia helped set up my portal, booking the weekend webinars which suited my shift working and was on hand at each lesson, in case of any issues which was brilliant. Rob and Brian the lecturers have been in the industry for years and have so much knowledge and experience to pass on which helped me pass my exams first time. They also run revision sessions each Tuesday, which is a Q&A session for anything anyone is struggling with. The best part of the webinar’s, I found was the fact I could rewatch the lesson, as many times as I needed and I could always refer back if and when. I’m now ready to move on to my NVQ 3 at the Cardiff centre and will help get me recognised within industry and future job opportunities. The course advisor Keiron has been very helpful and always on the end of the phone to answer any questions. For me an apprenticeship wasn’t an option and this route has been an enjoyable experience and I would recommend Access Training. The qualifications I have gained with access thus far, has led me to have a job offer as an Electrical Technician after being made redundant with Tata Steel and allowed me to make the career change I wanted.

Big Thanks to Rob for his brilliant teaching throughout the Core Electrics course. I started this course with very little knowledge and Rob's teaching style made it accessible and understandable. With examples, drawings, demo's, explanations and humour he has helped me to make sense of complicated information and has been encouraging to the group throughout. The extra support from Zakia for all queries has been fast, friendly and reliable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the whole team. Brilliant.

I work in Tata steel due to be made redundant. I’m already training with access. And also I’ve had funding from port talbot council to do extra plumbing qualifications to top up my gas qualification. 1st class treatment from Kieran and all at access training. Highly recommend them for all training they cover

Easy to understand teacher and he answers questions very clearly

I am new electrical student with access training, Alex and bekky have help to strat my enrolment, it was made very easy to me to understand everything I needed to know about my course,

There’s two ways to approach a midlife career shift. Jump straight in at the deep end and hopefully come out swimming, or the smart approach, step by step expert tuition from experts who have spent decades in the industry. I found Access gave me the best of both worlds. Learning the science behind electrical circuit design, and putting this into practice was an ideal way for me to learn from the ground up. Rob’s down to earth, friendly approach to teaching is fantastic. Highly recommended.

You are amazing Rob the best tutor I ever had

I struggle with learning, it takes me a while to get new things stuck in my head, however, Rob is the BEST teacher I could of asked for. I did another electrical course before this and it was so rubbish compared to Rob and they just read like a robot and expected us to know what they were talking about. I love the way Rob explains and takes his time if someone doesn't understand (within reason of course!) he makes sense. He doesn't bore you and keeps it fun and engaging which is another reason why I like his lessons. Top guy *****

Rob is a great tutor. He is very good at using analogies to help you understand and progress through the course. The experience he calls on giving you real life situations that he has come across is invaluable to help with your learning. Thank you Rob for all your help.

Rob was a great teacher and and took the time to make sure we all kept up and understood.

Rob is an absolutely brilliant teacher and he makes sure to go into detail and make it as easy as possible to understand the content.

Nice course to get a basic understanding of plumbing, the process makes it easy for if you already have a job as it’s flexible and you can choose the dates that you want to attend. Callum is a very good trainer, very helpful and open. The course will give you a good introduction to plumbing

Great sessions with mighty Paul

Just finished the plumbing webinar sessions with Paul. He has been a great tutor and explained things really well. Loved some of the stories he told which were relevant to the subjects we were covering and helped understand some of the content covered. The recorded webinars are great for people working varied hours and also for topping up knowledge before exams.

I have just finished the first part of my plumbing course with Access Training, so far it has been great. Special thanks to Paul Kelly who hosted the webinars, very informative and engaging.
