A class that was truly was applicable and broadened by skillset!

I took the Business Analytics course at USF last year, and it was one of the most transformative experiences in my professional journey. As an educator transitioning into the data and business analytics field, this course gave me not only the technical skills I needed—like SQL, Excel, and data visualization—but also the confidence to pivot my career successfully. What I appreciated most was the real-world focus of the program. The instructors were industry professionals who made complex concepts digestible and relevant. The course projects mirrored actual business scenarios, which helped me build a strong portfolio and apply insights directly to decision-making processes. Because of this course, I was able to land a role as a Business Analyst at KPMG in Lake Nona, Orlando, Florida. The program truly laid the groundwork for this career shift. Very thoughtful modules that build well on each other as the course progresses. The assignments were interesting and the opportunities to explore and experiment with new tools and concepts was highly valuable.

I liked that i could used the information that was presented immediately. The homework assignments were hands on and practical. The live workshops were scheduled outside of business hours so it made it easier to balance class with work schedules. It took between 10 and 12 hours each week to complete the class, workshops and homework. The last homework assignment took the longest. I really appreciate that extra time was given to complete the last homework deadlines.

The live sessions really gave me a chance to see how to apply the information in the lessons first hand and in real word situations. The input from others gave different perspectives and helped me think about other ways to use what was being taught.

All of the instructors are very welcoming, making themselves available if we needed any type of help, I really felt they were invested in my success

I really got a lot out of the online coursework and the instructor video segments. I received tremendous help from Jeff Lesh - he is an absolute ROCK STAR! Thank you, Jeff, for all of your hard work and dedication. That said, the study guides are absolutely priceless - they are an incredible resource that I'll continue to reference. Overall, this was an excellent learning experience! Can't wait to take my 3rd class!"

A 5-week training sounded overwhelming, but it was completely doable, even with a hectic work schedule! Each training module was divided into bite-size, 3- to 5-minute videos interspersed with knowledge checks and hands-on practice. That helped to break up the monotony of having to watch a really long video with an assessment at the end. The live sessions also gave participants the opportunity to ask questions, which was very helpful. I also appreciated the extra time to complete assignments.

The online learning and Q&A was a game-changer! Crystal-clear concepts and engaging discussions made every moment a thrill. Staying late for the Q&A felt like a VIP knowledge party—packed with fresh insights and innovative ideas!

I was skeptical that an online course would be able to deliver the learning experience necessary to truly assimilate the material but, as our instructor said on day one, "you will get out of the class exactly what you put into it." I found that to be the case and, while it did take up time and energy, I found the course to be everything I'd expected. Thank you

Overall, this was a really helpful course. I really liked the combination of online self-paced learning with virtual meetings for discussion. I thought the start and finish was a little awkward. There was a one week delay in when the first assignment was due, and then there are two assignments due the final week. The cadence between releasing new assignments, having the virtual meetings and when the assignments are due can be massaged to have a better and more even flow throughout the 5 weeks.

The instructors were great and I learned quite a bit, but I did feel it pushed certain products.

It was a well structured course where I grasp important concepts and skills required to excel in business analytics. Instructors provided feedback on course assignments. There are many resources to improve resume and coaching is available.

The material was world class. It was easy to follow and thorough. The teachers were excellent at explaining concepts. It was flexible and fit my business schedule perfectly. The team was relaxed and eager to assist in anyway. Excellent operational processes and I am not sure how you could find better material. Really enjoyed it and impressed. Thank you.

Excellent content, but difficult to complete the course on iPad, and my company firewall blocked the course content.

The online assignments were very easy to navigate.

I thought the course on ziplines was informative overall, but I would have appreciated more structured slides to make note-taking easier. As it was, I found myself picking and choosing what to write down without much guidance. The instructors for the live course were friendly, but I wish they had spent more time teaching directly from the module slides and showing how to effectively use tools like ChatGPT, rather than focusing primarily on student examples and open discussion. While I understand the value of peer input, I personally enrolled to learn more from the instructors themselves. Overall, I wasn’t sure if the 2-hour Zoom session was the best use of my time, as I had hoped for a more instructor-led and content-focused experience.
