Great teachers!
Kathrin has been an amazing teacher for the last year... Very friendly and engaging with the children and able to lead the lesson so that all the children get to improve and have a good time.
Water Babies receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.

The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.
Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

The quality of the lessons really depends on who the instructor is. Some of the facilities at the locations are dreadful. We have been to three different locations around Cheshire and 2 out of 3 are unisex with no facilities to change the babies, no nappy bins, dirty floors etc the pool would often be cold in the middle of winter. But you pay the same price as the good facility classes. The lessons themselves are ok, but like I said it depends on the instructor but overall the progression in classes is not clear and they have a badge system which is a waste of time. Badges don’t get given out, the instructors don’t know who has had what and what badges each baby is owed. The customer service is appalling. I’ve been trying to speak to someone for 3 weeks, the phone is never answered and when it is no one can help other than reciting ts and cs. Overall waterbabies has really gone downhill and I’m not the only parent who thinks this. I’ve sent multiple emails and sent a email to the complaints email address which have just been ignored. There are other companies that are cheaper and better! Having done both I can confirm that water babies are not the only company that offer water safety techniques as they try and make out. Overall disappointed, so made the decision to move elsewhere. They won’t cancel my account however due to this ‘4 weeks notice’ Ts and Cs so they make you pay for an extra month of classes that you aren’t going to use. I’m not paying anything until I can speak to someone which given the experience of the past 3 weeks will be never.
Having 2 kids 2 and under who are continously getting unwell and have respiratory issues and tonsillitis issues is very hard to deal with. Even though they enjoy swimming, right after swimming they get ill and not able to make the next session. Tried to explain this to Water Babies with proof of Doctors note and requested to cancel membership and was advised that I will have to pay notice period for both kids. How appalling and shocking coming from a company who are supposed to care about kids! They confirmed clearly that money is more important than kids health. Thanks Water Babies!
My daughter loves her weekly water babies sessions. Our instructor Nicky is amazing, she engages the little ones in the lessons. Best baby/toddler class I’ve attended
I have been with water babies for over 7 years across all 3 of my children. It is honestly the nicest way to have that one to one bonding with your baby and eventually it just leads to pure joy as they progress and get older. It is a wonderful way to get children to gain confidence for mainstream swimming. Pregnant with baby no 4 and will defiantly be enrolling in classes again. It is well structured and every single teacher I have had has been just so wonderful including the office staff and the admin behind the scenes. BW
Bex, our instructor is superb! Atti adores her and we feels safe being in the pool with her and Atti. We can see how confident Atti now is in the water and the skills he is building. We are hoping Water Babies still offer some swimming once Atti starts school in September
We joined Water Babies when my baby was 12 weeks old and we both absolutely loved it. The group size was appropriate and the progression of skills was fantastic. It was with a heavy heart that we had to cancel our membership after 4 months, as, at £18 a lesson, it was just unaffordable for 30 minutes. We would hope to join again in the future as it was beneficial for both of us.
I absolutely loved water babies when I started with my little one when he was just 8 weeks old! Alison was very welcoming. Unfortunately we decided to cancel our membership due to sickness and work commitments. When I contacted to inform via email about cancellation I never got a response/acknowledgement and I tried to phone and couldn't get through I appreciate they are busy and I left a voicemail but the call was never returned. I didn't think it was very nice to just be ignored and not acknowledged as I was cancelling the membership as any communication in the past regarding lessons had been very good.
