Classic Tuscany Tour - Fantastic

The travel department had every thing arranged with no delays so well organised. The tour guide was excellent so informative and extremely nice Claudia . The only problem was sitting at the same table every night you did not get to know all the other guests as there was 50

Lake Como - Great holiday
Our second holiday with Travel Department as we knew from previous experience, that from the moment of booking you can relax and know everything is taken care of. A leisurely 7 night holiday with 3 leisure days. The included tours were excellent and our guide Carol looked after us very well. Hotel Bazzoni was comfortable and we enjoyed the half board meals. We had a balcony facing the lake and enjoyed watching the activity on the lake. Would recommend Travel Department for a holiday to Lake Como.

Brilliant trip to Vietnam
Thanks to Hung our fantastic guide who revealed his country to us with his love for it and his vast knowledge our trip was memorable .He gave us a "taste" of Vietnam with its history and culture . He was well organised ,diligent and catering to every aspect of the trip , nothing was too much trouble and lead us along the coast of the Eastern Sea with good humour An asset to TheTravel Department . Kept me informed regularly with all the…
Kept me informed regularly with all the relevant information, itenary and confirmation of payment and receipts. Was met on arrival before baggage collection by a Travel Dept rep. The whole holiday was well planned with a great guide Dodi who speaks English very well and knows the history of Egypt inside out and well presented with a bit of humour thrown in to make it interesting even more. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful guide. Extremely knowledgeable and kind. However on other trips we didn't have to buy water. WiFi was not free on cruise . Overall a wonderful experience. Thanks to our guide Dodi

Disappointed travellers
Myself and three friends recently returned from a four day break to Malta. Malta is a beautiful island, the weather was perfect, food and drink excellent and very reasonable. However to say the Travel Department let us down badly is an understatement. Firstly we were off to a bad start when the rep wasn’t to be seen when we came into the arrivals area in the airport although she did turn up a few minutes later and claimed to have been there all the time! On the way to the hotel she offered some advice about the area but said she was too busy to come to the hotel the following morning when we had a free day. The 2nd day we were there the tour guide didn’t turn up at the hotel for our planned day out, we had the bus driver, who some of us believed was perhaps our tour guide but his English wasn’t good so after driving for a while one of our group asked him if he was our guide to which he said he was driving to pick her up. He did that successively and she was an excellent guide, full of advice and information but explained she couldn’t come to the hotel as she had to bring her child to school! Our full day out was condensed to a half day, our guide left us while we had lunch and then the bus driver didn’t turn up to bring us back to the hotel. We waited 50 minutes in 31degrees heat. The following day was no better though the bus driver was very good and had excellent English. However he had a job finding the tour guide for different reasons. Overall the holiday was a disaster as far as the Travel Department are concerned and although I’ve travelled frequently in the past and held them in very high regard, after this experience I’ll think seriously about travelling with them again.

Vietnam and Cambodia Experience
Well organised, smooth operation from start to finish. Really good guides, knowledgeable, friendly and most helpful. A lot packed into the time spent in Vietnam … could have done with another free day at least. Overall a whistle stop trip that whetted the appetite for another visit to South East Asia. Noel
