We were shown round a property by Kelly McDermott who was fantastic. Kelly was warm and welcoming and so knowledgeable about the property and area, she gave honest advice and made us feel really comfortable as first time buyers (with no idea what we’re doing)! Landlords keep clear
I have had 2 properties managed by Thornley Groves since they took over Shepherd Gilmour some years ago. The service has never been great but latterly it has become diabolical. They seem to have a staff retention problem. Contacting anyone is nigh on impossible. f you are a landlord go somewhere else. They have left a water leak unresolved at one property for 5 weeks resulting in extensive damage. I am now using another agent in the city and the experience is so superior I wish I'd have moved years ago.

I never thought I’d be one of those…
I never thought I’d be one of those people, however, if I could give 0 stars then I would have. We met Justin at the property who was very professional and very helpful. Before we agreed to sign a tenancy we requested that certain things in the property were repaired, which were agreed to, and were promised to be completed prior to moving in. Based on the above, we signed a tenancy agreement, from that point on Thornley Groves have been the worst company I have ever had to deal with. After 14 long months of trying to get the repairs completed, a rental increase of £175 a month, we gave up and moved out. Although Thornley Groves managed to complete some of the repairs promised, the repairs were done poorly and soon needed repairing again. They always attempt to obtain the cheapest quote possible, and had the same tradesman attend the property at least six times to complete the same quote over a three month period. When we left the property I advised our property manager Gabriel that my bank details had changed and provided new details as requested by Thornley Groves. Three weeks after returning the keys, deposit nowhere to be seen, and have now been advised that the new bank details provided, weren’t used for the refund. If you want to waste annual leave waiting for tradesman that either don’t arrive, or come to complete the same quote six times, and your deposit send to an old account, these guys are worth the 4 off stars, that are obviously being written by staff. If you want a decent letting agents, keep looking.

From our initial meeting with Stuart I found Thornley Groves to be professional and efficient. Their sales package and photographs showed the house in the best possible way. Arabella and Liberty provided feedback after viewings and the administratively the process was excellent. I would highly recommend Thornley Groves Hale to friends and family.
